Fortunately, we took the A line of the scenic area, which saved effort (going down the stairs). We bought a package ticket and the scenery was great - we could see the mountains, water, and clouds! The road signs in the scenic area were also clear.
Although the transportation to the scenic area is a bit expensive, you can experience it by land, sea and air. It is really spectacular to sit on the boat and look at the Taihang Mountains. If the glass of the cable car can be a little cleaner, it will be perfect because it is so beautiful. However, the glass window makes me take pictures with spots. There is a section of the journey where it is not recommended to take the shuttle bus because that section is the most beautiful. You can reach a point that feels like the Tianmen Cave.

July and August during summer vacation are the perfect times to experience this area. The cool stream makes it tempting to rest and play in the water.
The Jinji River Scenic Area is a top choice for children. Wow! It's like stepping into a painting, with lush green mountains and clear water, and the air is incredibly fresh. The children had a blast playing in the stream, the elderly rested in the shade, and my wife and I strolled hand in hand along the plank road, listening to the birdsong and chirping insects. I felt completely relaxed. The waterfalls here are magnificent, and the bamboo forest is incredibly beautiful. It's like completely forgetting the worries of the city.
There are so many B&Bs, all within the scenic area, that you're just steps away from the action!
Chongdu Valley is truly the perfect place to relax and unwind. Enjoying the beautiful scenery and spending time with your family is the ultimate summer vacation experience!

Ganquan Canyon is a fissure-type Danxia landform. Its core feature is a red sandstone Danxia landform, formed during the Cretaceous period, between 130 million and 90 million years ago.
The canyon is best viewed between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM. When sunlight shines directly on the valley floor, the red sandstone walls reflect 12 gradations of red, orange, yellow, and purple.
Ganquan Grand Canyon offers its own unique beauty in each season: wildflowers bloom in the spring, temporary waterfalls form after heavy rains in summer, crimson leaves and red rocks create a striking contrast in autumn, and snow-covered winter creates a fairytale-like scene.
