This place was way cooler than I expected! As an American I thought it would be like a normal zoo, WRONG! A couple things really shocked me. First, you can feed almost all of the animals which is cute and hilarious. This also allows you to get up pretty close to them, while also keeping them active. Second, you can take a bus through habitats with tigers, bears and wolves! They come right up to the bus, which is so cool to see. Third, they had a time for feeding Siberian tigers which was amazing to see. they have other shows taking place throughout the park as well. Overall, this place was way more than I expected and is definitely worth a visit.
Had a great time here very unique as they have tried to set up habitats for each animal as it should be in the natural jungle. Also really tiring go with you walking or jogging shoes as there is a lot of walking to do and also a lot of great things to do here.

Rongguo Mansion was our first stop in Zhengding. It presented a different interpretation of *Dream of the Red Chamber*, featuring Cao Xueqin, Jia Baoyu, Wang Xifeng, and Lin Daiyu. The format was simple, but for children, it offered a close interaction and a unique experience. The entire process was essentially a series of performances of the garden.
📍Zhengding·Rongguo Mansion|A Dream of Red Mansions Through the Ages, Cao Xueqin Forever I first read *Dream of the Red Chamber* when I was probably only seven or eight years old. My family had a 1972 edition, which my father kept on top of the bookshelf. Kids, the more you forbid them from seeing it, the more curious they become, so I climbed up to the top of the bookshelf and secretly peeked through it, hiding behind piano sheet music. I couldn't recognize all the characters, let alone understand the poems, but I just couldn't put it down. I was obsessed for many years afterward, reading it countless times and devouring many works on *Dream of the Red Chamber* studies. Later, my reading became more diverse, and I gradually put it down. But some things are hard to let go of. For our generation, who wasn't raised on CCTV's *Journey to the West* and *Dream of the Red Chamber*? When I think of Bao and Dai, only Ouyang Fenqiang and Chen Xiaoxu's images come to mind; any other portrayal just doesn't feel right. I've been to the Grand View Garden in Beijing a few times. This time in Zhengding, naturally, I wanted to see Rongguo Mansion at night. This is one of China's earliest film and television shooting bases. In 1983, during the location scouting for the filming of *Dream of the Red Chamber*, Xi Jinping, then Secretary of the Zhengding County Party Committee, strongly advocated for the production team to choose Zhengding as the filming location, transforming what was originally planned as a temporary outdoor set into a permanent building. In 1986, the Rongguo Mansion was completed, and *Dream of the Red Chamber* was filmed there for nearly two months, with approximately 4,000 shots completed there, including key scenes such as "Imperial Concubine's Visit to Her Family" and "Qin Keqing's Funeral." On May 2, 1987, the 36-episode television series *Dream of the Red Chamber* premiered on CCTV. This year, 2026, marks the 40th anniversary of the completion and opening of the Rongguo Mansion. Next year will be the 40th anniversary of the broadcast of the 1987 television series *Dream of the Red Chamber*. Standing here tonight feels like keeping a 40-year promise. Cao Xueqin lived less than fifty years, *Dream of the Red Chamber* was written approximately 270 years ago, the 1987 television series aired nearly 40 years ago, and the Rongguo Mansion was completed 40 years ago. The numbers keep changing. But some things remain the same. Standing before Rongxi Hall, I suddenly recalled the image of myself at eight years old, perched atop the bookshelf, flipping through books. Back then, I couldn't understand the lines, "Full of absurd words, a handful of bitter tears"... Cao Xueqin left posterity a story that will never end. Dream of the Red Chamber will always be read, and there will always be those who push open their doors at night to experience this dream that has lasted for over two hundred years.

On the day of Lidong (the beginning of winter) in 2026, the children visited Xinglong Temple in Zhengding Ancient City. Entering this ancient temple gave one a particularly quiet and devout feeling. The ancient temple was serene. The children learned that upon entering, there were four Buddhas facing east, west, south, and north, whose meanings included things like favorable weather, the gods of the east and south. They learned knowledge and also saw the Guanyin statue in reverse posture, understanding the imagery. Whether they learned anything or not, running around in the temple was a form of purification.
On the day of Lidong (the beginning of winter) in 2026, we arrived at Longxing Temple in Zhengding Ancient City. Stepping into one of the top ten famous temples in China, we could feel the uniqueness of its culture. Although the temple is small, it is incredibly impressive. For example, there is the Guanyin statue in a backward sitting position, the bronze Guanyin statue with a thousand hands and feet, and 1072 small Buddha statues. The multiple courtyards and pavilions allow us to see the long history and culture of this ancient temple through its details.

The Hebei Provincial Museum is definitely worth a visit. It boasts a rich and diverse collection of exhibits, arranged scientifically and logically. It also offers a wide variety of cultural and creative products and activities. It's not only suitable for teenagers but also for children.
This was my second visit to the Hebei Provincial Museum. I didn't see everything on my last visit, so I made up for it today. I saw all the museum's treasures; it was truly magnificent! A feast for the eyes. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Shijiazhuang.

Only after the Dream of the Red Chamber Theatrical Fantasy City fully opened on June 16, 2026, did new shows begin to appear. This time, I saw all the new shows, as well as the ones I didn't have time to see last year. The first four pictures are of the newly opened South Gate, and the last four are of the North Gate.
I thoroughly enjoyed my trip to Theatrical Fantasy City. The scenery was breathtaking, the actors' performances were phenomenal, and several shows featured audiences in close proximity – it was fantastic! I especially loved the soundtrack; it was incredibly catchy. I hope Theatrical Fantasy City continues to improve.

The scenery is OK, like a big park, with many people dancing, exercising, and playing the piano in it. There are too many attractions in Beijing, and the 40-yuan ticket is generally not a big fan of Red Mansions or Zhen Huan, so the cost performance is not high.
Ctrip ticket purchase is convenient and fast, the staff service attitude is very good. After arriving at the station, you can directly swipe your ID card to take a bus to Leidongping. It takes 2 hours to walk a section, take the cable car to Jinding to see the solemn Buddha statue inside Puxian, return to Leidongping by the original route, take a bus to Wuxiangang, and walk 5-6 kilometers of mountain roads to see monkeys. There are scenic spots such as Yixiantian on the way. The meal is not expensive and I will come again.

The experience at Longquan Ancient Town exceeded my expectations! The ancient buildings are arranged in a charming, staggered pattern, with the Yingyue River flowing through the town, giving it a distinctly Jiangnan water town feel. There are numerous live performances and NPC interactions throughout the day, creating a fantastic atmosphere. As night falls and the lights come on, a boat trip at night is incredibly photogenic. The town offers a wide variety of snacks, a comfortable pace of exploration, and a single ticket that allows you to see various shows—great value for money! It's a perfect weekend getaway for family and friends.
First, the service was excellent; second, the night view was beautiful; third, the performances were all outstanding; and fourth, the performers' professionalism was commendable. It was raining and cold today, so there weren't many tourists, and the performers worked very hard in the rain.

Having a good guide is crucial when visiting the National Museum, as they can not only introduce the important artifacts we see but also share some previously unknown historical facts.
This native Beijing girl's explanations are fantastic! She has a very broad range of knowledge! To make it easy for children to understand, she uses a variety of methods such as metaphors, hypotheses, extensions, questions, jokes, and live demonstrations! The children learn happily, remember well, and even the parents gain a lot of knowledge along with her!

Teacher Liu, the top scholar from Beijing, gave an excellent tour of the Temple of Heaven! He is well-versed in the ancient architectural culture and sacrificial rites of the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests, the Circular Mound Altar, and the Echo Wall. His explanations are easy to understand and his pace is relaxed, allowing us to appreciate the wisdom of the ancients within the Temple of Heaven. We gained a lot from the experience!
Thanks to “京状元”刘老师 for her detailed explanations and knowledgeable guidance throughout the tour. She was also very good at pointing out the best scenic spots and photo angles, which helped to capture some beautiful photos along the way. Really appreciate

I took my parents there, and they had a pretty good time. The photos turned out great, but the crowds affected the pictures a bit, so I'll have to fix them when we get back. The sunflower room and the rotating bridge were nice and visually striking, but I didn't know there were three attractions in total, so I didn't buy a package ticket and only experienced one of them, which was a bit of a shame! I guess we'll have to go again next time!
Qianmen Street, a famous old commercial street, carries significant historical value, and many time-honored brands featured in TV dramas can be found here. Interestingly, while there seem to be many visitors outside, relatively few actually go inside to make a purchase.
