The ancient town was absolutely stunning, from the entrance to Shuanghong Bridge, to the library, the museum, the cafes, the clear river, the vibrant flowers, the friendly vendors, the adorable dogs and cats—so many! We drank coffee and took so many beautiful photos, we were reluctant to leave, but it was dark, so we had to leave. Overall, the ancient town was truly breathtaking.
Honestly, it's definitely worth a visit. The ancient town is quite large, divided into two sections: the east and west. Built into the hillside, it offers stunning scenery. You can find a few coffee shops, and the art gallery on the third floor offers a great view. I highly recommend the Wild Duck Lake Scenic Area.

It would be a pity if you come to Tengchong and don't watch the Dream Tengchong performance. I drove from Guizhou to Tengchong specifically to watch this wonderful performance. The actors' acting skills, stage design, lighting and sound levels are really great. Watching the performance deepened my impression of Tengchong. It was really worth the trip.
The child won a ticket for the show at the ancient town event, so the whole family bought tickets to watch it. We didn't expect much at first, but after watching it, we were shocked and the ticket price was worth it. The show tells the historical evolution of Tengchong, which is divided into five periods. The scene is beautiful and the story is moving. There is a blue cloud stage special effect that is very beautiful. The whole person is immersive. The performance during the Anti-Japanese War has made me cry. They are all young dancers, and the performance is also very hard. The most fun thing is that the actors lead real horses and drive a group of ducks on stage. I hope everyone will support this performance and the actors!
