I went there for their jewelry museum. But after arriving, I realized jewelry might not be that valuable. Dinosaur fossils, mammoth tusks, Sinosauropteryx fossils, Peking Man, Yuanmou Man, and Upper Cave Man fossils, and a 7.6 jin (1.6 jin) natural gold nugget—all are worth more than those tiny gems. I suddenly realized Earth is quite fascinating, with all the different kinds of rocks. But it would have been nice to have someone explain it.
There are two large rocks to the left and right of the museum entrance: one is the Crystal King, and the other is something I've forgotten. It's so huge, I couldn't even steal it.
I guess this is one of the few museums that charges admission. It's 15 yuan per person, half price for students, and free for seniors.
