There are two Deyilou restaurants in Changshu. One is called Deyilou Steamed Food Restaurant in the navigation, and the other is called Deyilou. The one I reviewed today is Deyilou Steamed Food Restaurant, which is located at the entrance of Fangta Pedestrian Street, Yangang Street, and the steamed food restaurant is on the second floor. The wall of the stairwell is very distinctive, with a blackboard and chalk writing design from childhood, which witnessed the development of Deyilou, with the words of the boss, the words of the employees, and the blessings of the boss and industry insiders.
Changshu is a very livable Jiangnan town with mountains, water and delicious food. For my first visit, I couldn't wait to find delicious food - steamed dishes with Changshu characteristics. I chose the time-honored Deyilou. After entering the storefront and going up the stairs, I felt the heritage of the time-honored brand. The owner of the store is very down-to-earth. He recommended three dishes to our store, which are enough for the two of us. They are all signature dishes of the store: mushroom oil tofu, old eight steamed bowls with three delicacies, and vermicelli fish head soup. The taste is very good! The steamed bowl is light and fresh, and the vermicelli fish head soup is rich in fish freshness. It is a perfect match with rice. It's a pity that I didn't have the opportunity to try other dishes. With few visitors, you can spend a leisurely day exploring and enjoying the scenery. 💕 The most unique attraction is the Water Forest Bamboo Raft, 30 yuan per person. Fully known as the "Chongjiao Xingfu Temple Pagoda," this nine-story building is a landmark of Changshu Ancient City. 🏞️Zhao Garden and Zeng Garden⭐⭐
Originally, this area was the site of Qian Dai's "Little Wangchuan," the imperial censor during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty. During the Qianlong and Jiaqing periods of the Qing Dynasty, it was divided into two gardens, Zhao Garden and Zeng Garden. Spanning approximately 20 mu (approximately 16 acres), this garden is one of the most famous classical gardens in Jiangnan. The scenery is elegant and perfect for a leisurely stroll and taking photos. 📷 Admission is also free.

🍡 Songsheng Cakes and Rice Balls: Their glutinous rice balls are very popular, and the lines are long but fast. The Songhuahuang (Songhuahuang) is pretty good, with a generous amount of red bean paste filling, but the portions are a bit large, making it easy to overeat. 🤭
🍜 Xingfu Old Noodle House: At the foot of Yushan Mountain, I had the tanyou noodles there after climbing Yushan three years ago. The satisfying feeling is still unforgettable! 😆
🥧Zhou's Plum Blossom Cake: Available in red bean paste and fresh meat flavors. Unfortunately, the ones we bought weren't freshly made and were a bit dry. Try to buy freshly-made ones! 😅
