There are two Deyilou restaurants in Changshu. One is called Deyilou Steamed Food Restaurant in the navigation, and the other is called Deyilou. The one I reviewed today is Deyilou Steamed Food Restaurant, which is located at the entrance of Fangta Pedestrian Street, Yangang Street, and the steamed food restaurant is on the second floor. The wall of the stairwell is very distinctive, with a blackboard and chalk writing design from childhood, which witnessed the development of Deyilou, with the words of the boss, the words of the employees, and the blessings of the boss and industry insiders.
Changshu is a very livable Jiangnan town with mountains, water and delicious food. For my first visit, I couldn't wait to find delicious food - steamed dishes with Changshu characteristics. I chose the time-honored Deyilou. After entering the storefront and going up the stairs, I felt the heritage of the time-honored brand. The owner of the store is very down-to-earth. He recommended three dishes to our store, which are enough for the two of us. They are all signature dishes of the store: mushroom oil tofu, old eight steamed bowls with three delicacies, and vermicelli fish head soup. The taste is very good! The steamed bowl is light and fresh, and the vermicelli fish head soup is rich in fish freshness. It is a perfect match with rice. It's a pity that I didn't have the opportunity to try other dishes. I must try them again next time if I have the opportunity. It's really worth recommending!

🌟Must-see! A 2-day trip to Changshu: Experience the best of both worlds!🤩 Families👋, today we're sharing a fantastic local destination for Shanghai kids—Changshu! It's only a 2-hour drive🚘 and an hour by train🚅—so convenient, it's perfect for a spontaneous weekend getaway🥳! 🎈Itinerary Day 1: Hiking Yushan Mountain during the day, visiting the Square Pagoda at night Day 2: Shanghu Lake/Shajiabang 🌄Yushan Mountain ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Yushan Mountain, at 263 meters above sea level, offers a variety of routes, perfect for both adventurous travelers and families with children🤩. There's the approximately 12km Eagle Trail, perfect for the adventurous and energetic; a 6km loop perfect for families; and even a 2km hiking introductory trail perfect for 2-year-olds. For guides to all the family trails, check out the Yushan section in the "Changshu" section of my homepage! 😜 Admission is free, while some of the mountain's attractions require separate admission, making it incredibly cost-effective! 👏 🌊Shang Lake ⭐⭐⭐ Shang Lake echoes Yushan, named after the legend that Jiang Shang (Jiang Taigong) once lived and fished here in seclusion. 📖 The vast scenic area resembles a magnificent Jiangnan park, offering unique scenery in every season. With few visitors, you can spend a leisurely day exploring and enjoying the scenery. 💕 The most unique attraction is the Water Forest Bamboo Raft, 30 yuan per person. The scenic experience of navigating through the mangroves on a bamboo raft is simply breathtaking! 👍 Admission is 70 yuan for adults and 35 yuan for seniors and children. 🧡Shajiabang⭐⭐⭐ Spanning 6,000 mu (approximately 1,000 acres), Shajiabang is a leisure and tourism resort integrating revolutionary education, green wetlands, and performing arts. 🎊 Here, you can experience the rich history while enjoying the natural scenery, making it a perfect place for children to broaden their horizons. 🚩 Admission is 100 yuan for adults and 50 yuan for seniors. 🗼Square Pagoda⭐⭐ Fully known as the "Chongjiao Xingfu Temple Pagoda," this nine-story building is a landmark of Changshu Ancient City. Built in the Southern Song Dynasty, it is imbued with historical charm. 🕰️ Nearby are tons of classic Changshu snacks, making it a delightful treat to savor after visiting the pagoda. 😋 Admission is free. 🏞️Zhao Garden and Zeng Garden⭐⭐ Originally, this area was the site of Qian Dai's "Little Wangchuan," the imperial censor during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty. During the Qianlong and Jiaqing periods of the Qing Dynasty, it was divided into two gardens, Zhao Garden and Zeng Garden. Spanning approximately 20 mu (approximately 16 acres), this garden is one of the most famous classical gardens in Jiangnan. The scenery is elegant and perfect for a leisurely stroll and taking photos. 📷 Admission is also free. 🍱 A time-honored gourmet restaurant 🥘 Deyilou Steamed Vegetable Restaurant: Excellent traditional dishes, generous portions, and delicious flavors. The duck blood glutinous rice noodle soup is a must-try; it's absolutely amazing! 😍 🥗 Yuhou Xingcai Restaurant: Fusion and innovative dishes, every dish is delicious. We've been there multiple times and are always incredibly satisfied! 🤣 🍡 Songsheng Cakes and Rice Balls: Their glutinous rice balls are very popular, and the lines are long but fast. The Songhuahuang (Songhuahuang) is pretty good, with a generous amount of red bean paste filling, but the portions are a bit large, making it easy to overeat. 🤭 🍜 Xingfu Old Noodle House: At the foot of Yushan Mountain, I had the tanyou noodles there after climbing Yushan three years ago. The satisfying feeling is still unforgettable! 😆 🥧Zhou's Plum Blossom Cake: Available in red bean paste and fresh meat flavors. Unfortunately, the ones we bought weren't freshly made and were a bit dry. Try to buy freshly-made ones! 😅 🧂Tanong Roasted Nuts: Small bags of candied sunflower seeds and other roasted nuts, with a wide variety, costing only three or four yuan a bag. They're a great value and make great souvenirs! 🎁 In short, Changshu is truly a fantastic weekend getaway near Shanghai. The food and scenery are both unforgettable! 💖 All you kids out there, come and enjoy! 🚀! Embark on a wonderful two-day trip here! 🎉 #ShanghaiNearbyTours #ChangshuTourism #ChangshuFamilyTour #WeekendDestination #JiangsuZhejiangShanghaiFamilyTourism

The food on New Year's Eve was very good, and the boss lady was also very nice! The food tasted good! Thank you for being open during holidays! I recommend this restaurant to friends who come to play during the Spring Festival. It is good and the price is not increased during the holidays.
This restaurant is located at the exit of Shajiabang Scenic Area. We also accidentally passed by and had dinner there. We ordered a salmon soup. It was a big fish, cooked in a big casserole, with a few slices of bacon and two green peppers. The lady boss said that no wine or MSG was added, but the taste was very fresh and the soup was rich. The noodles were 15 yuan each, and there was a lot of yellow in it. It was perfect.

After eating, you can walk into the scenic area slowly and enjoy the scenery of the reed marsh. It is comfortable and relaxing. A local fusion restaurant, be prepared to queue. The tribute duck blood glutinous rice and garlic crystal shrimp are worthy of being the signature dishes, recommended to try; The squirrel perch is very cost-effective, the fish is very big, and the sauce is sour and sweet; The Dongxiang rice soup Qiaocaotou is a vegetable I like very much, and the taste is very good; In terms of service, it is also remarkable, the service staff actively patrols and provides services.

A somewhat famous local restaurant in Changshu. Came here for the braised puffer fish. The puffer fish was plump and not greasy, but the freshness was a little lacking. The braised cooking method is very good with rice, but not with wine. The Huadiao chicken was crispy and salty, but the chicken was a bit dry. The pine nut blood glutinous rice was slightly sweet. The service was not bad. Overall, it is a restaurant worth trying.
Dafangyuan Restaurant is a well-known old restaurant in Changshu. It is located in the central area and is very lively around. There are many shopping malls and parking lots on the ground and underground. You don't have to worry about not being able to park your car. Not far from the restaurant is the Yushan Scenic Area in Changshu. When you enter the restaurant, the waiter will warmly entertain you. First, the waiter will take you to order dishes by looking at the photos of the dishes on the first floor of the restaurant. In the middle are fresh dishes. The waiter will give you some suggestions. The variety of dishes is also very rich, and they are divided into small and large portions to meet the needs of different diners. This is very humane. We ordered two cold dishes, but we didn't expect that they would be served to us when we walked to the designated dining seats on the second floor. We could eat directly, and the speed was still very fast. Only if individual guests dine, they need to be in the lobby on the second floor, which is relatively noisy, because sometimes there will be a birthday banquet here, and sometimes even a wedding banquet. Recommended dishes: Sichuan-style sour soup fat beef: sour and spicy flavors are more appetizing in summer. In addition to enoki mushrooms, there are other mushrooms. The amount of beef slices is also quite large, and the small portion for two people is just right. Crispy fried fish fillet: The skin of the fish fillet is fried crispy, and the fish meat inside is very tender. Dip it in Thai hot and sour sauce, and it will have some Southeast Asian flavor. Pine nut blood sticky rice: This is the signature dessert of Dafangyuan Restaurant. It was served last, and the small portion was also very large. We were all full. It tasted sweet and there were pine nuts on it, which suited the taste of Shanghai people. Two people couldn't finish a large plate.
