On the first day, we arrived a little after 10:00 AM. Seeing the long line for the Huangguoshu Waterfall shuttle bus, we headed straight for the lower section of Tianxing Bridge. Before we even entered, we heard an announcement that the cable car was under maintenance and the entire journey would take three hours, so our elderly family member skipped it. It did take three hours. Because of the crowds, there were long lines to enter and exit Tianxing Cave and Yinlianzhui Pond, which added at least an hour to our visit. Afterward, we ate and took a nap. In the afternoon, we went to Doupotang. The next morning, we headed back to the scenic area to visit Huangguoshu Waterfall at 8:00 AM. The escalator package for the waterfall was easy, and with Doupotang, a half-day was more than enough. Since we couldn't get a reservation for Water Curtain Cave, reservations were waived for VIPs. The observation deck closest to the main entrance was inaccessible without a reservation or VIPs. 🌝🌝 Tianxing Bridge is not very friendly to the elderly and children, with many steps and a long, narrow path. Yinlianzhui Pond was nice, but the cable car might be a bit better.
I came to Guizhou specifically to see Huangguoshu Waterfall. Anshun is a very comfortable small town with fresh air and beautiful natural scenery. Huangguoshu Waterfall is breathtaking. We visited during the flood season, the best time to enjoy the waterfall.
Huangguoshu Waterfall is divided into three scenic areas: the Grand Waterfall, Tupitang, and Tianxing Bridge. Our tour order was: Grand Waterfall, Tupitang, and Tianxing Bridge. The Grand Waterfall is the most popular and famous, with many people coming here to take photos. Tupitang is a filming location for Journey to the West, and the route is relatively flat and easy. Tianxing Bridge is the largest scenic area. The entire route takes at least two to three hours, and there are many attractions. The most famous is the Silver Chain Falling Pool Waterfall. The water volume here is enormous, and you can see the waterfall up close, which is very awe-inspiring. It is the highlight of the scenic area and highly recommended. However, there may be too many people during the summer vacation, and the scenic area is a bit crowded. There are places where only one person can pass, so you have to queue up to pass through many places. Those who have free time can choose to come during the off-season, so that they can slowly enjoy the beautiful scenery and breathe fresh air.

A visit to Qianhu Miao Village is a must. Tie-dyeing, batik, taking photos, eating and strolling... I guess that's how everyone does it! It's quite commercialized, but if it weren't, the service wouldn't be up to par! Hopefully, the ticket revenue will benefit the locals as well. Staying there, the B&B is in a great location, offering some quiet time.
I didn't listen. It's too commercialized. Walking from the tourist center to the ticket gate requires walking through a large commercial area. Then there's the long line for the transfer bus. The Dabeimen No. 1 Bridge Observation Deck and other places are incredibly crowded. Comparing the scenery of Qianhu Miao Village at night with that of the daytime, the scenery isn't quite as good as the photos online. Maybe I just don't have great taste, but I understand. I'll try my luck next time I visit a Dong village.

The scenery is generally good, but it was flood season and the boat ride was not allowed, which made the overall experience a little less enjoyable. In addition, it was cloudy that day. There were quite a lot of people in Zhijin Cave, and it took almost 2 hours to walk down.
We entered the scenic area at 8:40. There were not many people there, so we could control the pace of the whole process by ourselves. There were basically empty seats at the rest stops along the way. It took about 2 and a half hours to finish the walk. The cave is really big and the scenery is breathtaking. We were really tired.

The village is nice—not large and not overly commercialized. I tried tie-dyeing and batik, and I especially enjoyed the Xiage Village on the way to the Tang'an Rice Terraces. The terraces are beautiful, and the drinks are delicious. However, I personally thought the food was rather unsightly. Not only does there have to be an entrance fee to enter the village, but there's also an additional fee for the performances inside... It's quite expensive.

Because I felt a little overwhelmed after the Huangguoshu group tour the day before, I decided to charter a car to the Sky Eye. I booked it in the evening. The driver contacted us overnight and waited for us at the hotel entrance early the next morning. The driving was very stable throughout the journey. We wanted to take a detour to the Sky Bridge on the way back, and the driver had no complaints. The service attitude was very good, five-star recommendation 😘😘😘
It's a place you'll regret visiting if you don't. I recommend going there for children in third grade or older. They won't understand it, but adults who know it will think it's great.
