The entire Xinghua West Street seems to be full of Wu Ji stores. In the near distance is a crowded hot pot restaurant, and in the far distance is a crowded Wu Ji fresh beef takeaway store. The quality, portion and taste of the hot pot beef are good, but the dining environment is noisy because of too many people. If you don't mind waiting in a long line (basically about 2 hours), you can give it a try.
Well, how should I put it? The queues are endless, but it is still prosperous. From morning to night, no matter what time it is, there are always people queuing up at this hot pot restaurant. Maybe it is the only one. Otherwise, how can they say that the eyes of the masses are sharp? Chaoshan is not short of hot pot, especially beef hot pot. There must be something special about this arrangement. This beef is really tender. It is very smooth after just a few seconds of swiping. A group of people easily finished more than 20 plates. However, the booming business will naturally bring another problem. The environment is a little worse. People come and go, and it is also very noisy inside. This restaurant is really popular and has branches, but after eating it, I really think it's just average, just like Shantou rice noodle rolls: all kinds of things are put in and steamed, I don't know what's so good about it, the portion is quite large, I think the beef one is better. As for the environment, it's a small shop, not demanding, and there are quite a lot of locals. Maybe it's relatively cheap?
Xiao Wu Rice Noodle Rolls is a popular rice noodle roll shop in Shantou. Every day when I pass by here, I see people queuing up. The shop is very small and you have to wait for a long time. I was attracted to it once. The price is more expensive than ordinary rice noodle roll shops, but it tastes really good!

I'm torn between going to Shantou or Chaozhou first. I recommend Shantou first. Chaozhou, aside from the folklore, is a bit of a mini-Shantou.
Transportation:

Three Sisters Rice Noodle Rolls: The line was long, but it was worth it! The rice noodles are tender and smooth, and there's a ton of toppings.
Hai Ji Pig Blood Soup (Longyanyuan Branch): My mom loves it so much she has a bowl every morning. It's packed with ingredients.
Chaoxing White Congee: This is definitely the place. I just grabbed a bite on Longyan Road and was completely blown away! The congee is smooth and thick, and the seafood is super fresh. I love it! The vegetables are stir-fried with lard, which pairs really well with the refreshing congee.
A small breakfast place we passed by: Cassava Soy Milk! How could it be so good? Why don't chain dessert shops have cassava? It's so good!
Qiaochatang: Better than a cup of Chaocha tea, with a stronger aroma of duck shit and black tea!
Weiji Beef: The smell of fresh beef hits you as soon as you enter, giving you the illusion of eating at a beef farm.
