It was a little less impressive than expected. The local forecast indicated a red leaf index of level 3, but the actual red leaves at Yanzi Ridge didn't match the forecast. However, traveling during off-peak season made for a great experience. 👍
Guangwu Mountain Scenic Area is renowned as Asia's largest autumn foliage viewing area. The mountainsides ablaze with red leaves, set against a backdrop of mountains, water, and mist, create a breathtakingly beautiful scene. The best viewing period is from early November, so hurry if you want to go!

The autumn scenery here is very beautiful, and the water scenery is also beautiful. When we went there, there were few tourists in late autumn, so the photos were very good. We took the sightseeing bus to the end and got off, then walked down the wooden plank road to enjoy the beautiful scenery.
Huangbaiyuan has beautiful scenery, with unique and colorful rocks. The road is basically flat and not difficult to walk on. The mountains are full of red leaves in autumn. The river in the canyon hits the boulders and rushes down the valley. In the pools with slow currents, the water is crystal clear.

The Qinling Mountains in Baoji offer picturesque autumn scenery, making it a great destination for a fall outing. Here are some highlights and viewing locations: Autumn Highlights ● Colorful Forests: Acer truncatum, redwood, ginkgo, beech, oak, and other trees bloom vibrantly in autumn, showcasing rich hues of red, yellow, and green. For example, Huangbaiyuan, from the peak to the foot of the mountain, blends red, yellow, orange, and green, with over ten shades of red and yellow leaves. ● Unique Waterscapes: The emerald green of the Jialing River contrasts beautifully with the vibrant forests along its banks. In places like Lingguan Gorge, the blend of mountain and water creates a picturesque scene. ● Wild Chrysanthemums: Deep within the Qinling Mountains, you'll encounter a sea of golden wild chrysanthemums, each in its own unique form and fragrance, adorned with bees and butterflies. Recommended Viewing Spots ● Huangbaiyuan: Located in the heart of the Qinling Mountains, with a forest coverage rate exceeding 96%, it offers a blend of northern scenery and the beauty of southern China. The best viewing period is from mid-October to mid-November, when the Taiyang Highway traverses the region, creating a vibrant scene. The Dajiangou Waterfall cascades, towering trees, and foliage reveals its vibrant autumn colors. ● Zibai Mountain: From mid-October to early November, this is the first place in the Qinling Mountains to be "touched by autumn." Take the cable car up the mountain, and you'll smell the fragrance of pine needles. Alpine meadows alternate with withered yellow grass and scattered red maples. The Tiantan Cave nestles amidst the vibrant forests, offering breathtaking sunset views. ● Taibai Mountain: From late November to early December, the scenery showcases a lingering blend of autumn and winter. At the foot of the mountain, red birch forests still retain their autumn colors. Ascending the mountain, you'll see snow-covered maple leaves, a sea of rolling clouds, and a juxtaposition of red maple, white snow, and bluestone.
The Qinling Scenic Area is truly wonderful and a perfect place to relax and unwind. Gaoguan Waterfall is a breathtaking waterfall, and standing nearby, the steam hits your face with a refreshing coolness, making it especially pleasant in the summer. The Jinsi Gorge hike is quite long, but with streams, small waterfalls, and clear pools along the way, it's never boring. The mountain spring water is refreshing and sweet. The mountain air is incredibly fresh, and just breathing it feels completely invigorated. The scenery here is unique in each season. Spring offers abundant wildflowers, autumn offers vibrant leaves, the mountaintop meadows are vast, and winter offers stunning snowy scenery. If you're lucky, you might even spot birds and small animals in the woods, which is quite fascinating. The mountain temples and ancient trails also offer a sense of history. Overall, the Qinling Mountains offer natural scenery, fresh air, and a tranquil environment, making them perfect for a weekend hike or a holiday to relax and connect with nature. The authentic jelly and pickled vegetables sold by farmers along the road are also worth trying. It's a truly authentic scenic area well worth a visit.

The scenery is very beautiful, it's like the Little Switzerland of Shaanxi, haha. The cableway is very long, and it's basically vertical up and down at the end. There's a lot of fog and the temperature difference is big. It's recommended to wear a jacket. Including the cableway, the total cost is about 110 per person. The cost-effectiveness is not high in Shaanxi. After getting off the cableway, you still need to hike for a while, which is quite good. It's easy and you can exercise a little bit~ The beautiful scenery on the top of the mountain is worth it, but the infrastructure of the scenic area is average, the guidance is not clear, the garbage is a little scattered (controllable), the cable car feels old and there is no way to take pictures. It's gray, and the natural scenery is nothing to say
Under special circumstances, you can be taken to the scenic area for free from the intersection, but the cable car is out of service, so you have to walk up and down, which is quite troublesome, and there is nothing new, all pine trees and steps. There is no water, no fun, and the shuttle bus in the scenic area is still 10 yuan one way, which is not a good experience

In Xi'an, which is rich in historical charm, there are many famous ancient temples at the foot of Mount Zhongnan. Although Guanyin Temple has gone through the washing and tempering of time, it was originally an unknown one among many ancient monuments. Its uniqueness lies in an ancient tree in it - the ginkgo tree that is more than 1,400 years old. This golden ancient tree has not withered and dilapidated because of the passage of time. Instead, it exudes a more tranquil vitality and once became popular on social media. Due to force majeure, the temple has been closed, and the ginkgo leaves in late autumn are not golden enough, but it is not easy to be lucky enough to see it. This year's ginkgo tree will still be dazzlingly yellow. Without the disturbance of tourists, it must be more beautiful.
Ancient Guanyin Zen Temple is located in the suburbs of Xi'an, at the foot of Qinling Mountains. It is one of the thousand-year-old temples in Zhongnan Mountain. The temple is quiet and solemn, and the scenery is pleasant. There is an ancient ginkgo tree over 1,400 years old in the backyard, which was planted by Emperor Taizong of Tang, Li Shimin. The branches are lush and green, and the ginkgo nuts are hanging on the branches, which is very beautiful.

Hanzhong – Liping National Forest Park 🍁 This is what I'd call a "hidden gem." There are no throngs of tourists, only vibrant autumn foliage. The sweet, clean air, the streams, waterfalls, and emerald pools that accompany you along the way, allow you to quiet your mind and immerse yourself in the beauty of nature… Shiyue Tan (Eighteen Moon Pools) boasts exquisite waterfalls and pools paired with colorful forests, while Liping offers tranquil valleys and clear springs, both superior to the must-see Micang Mountain. If Micang Mountain is about tourism, then Liping is like a martial arts novel-style mountain and water adventure…
Arriving at the less-visited but beautiful Liping at the perfect time of year was truly amazing. It was less crowded, the scenery was stunning, and the area remained largely undeveloped, with little commercialization, creating a comfortable atmosphere. The only slight drawback was the lack of adequate promotion and information about the attractions.

The ruins park is worth a visit. It was recommended by a colleague and it was worth the trip. The underground exhibition hall and the exhibition hall are quite far apart. You can take the free shuttle bus within the park, but it is quite rare and you have to wait.
Such a great site! Almost no one there. Note that this ticket is a QR code, not tied to your passport. Don't stop at the entrance booth, just go straight to the underground museum section and they'll scan the QR code.

The scenery is nice, but be sure to check the weather and cloud chart before visiting. Ice Crystal Peak is only open on sunny days. Also, if you're not in good physical condition, you'll need to get there early to take the cable car to get to the trailhead before it closes. Also, the scenic area doesn't clearly state whether Ice Crystal Peak is open that day at the foot of the mountain, so you can only find out when you get there. Needs improvement.
The forest park offers convenient transportation and beautiful scenery, but it's important to arrive early and return early to avoid traffic, as driving and riding the cable car will waste considerable time. Transportation within the park has a clearly defined fee structure, so choose according to your budget. Food stalls are reasonably priced, but the quality is average. For even more stunning views, you'll need to climb to the highest peaks.

The forest coverage rate in Shaohua Mountain Scenic Area is super high. Take the Jingjiao car to Shimenxia, enter the hiking route, shuttle among the dense woods, listen to birds singing, watch squirrels jump, and luckily find some rare plants. This feeling of being close to nature is great.
Shaohua Mountain Icefall | A dreamlike wonder limited to winter✨ My dears, I am really speechless by the beauty of Shaohua Mountain's icefall! Walking into the scenic area, it seems like stepping into a world of ice and snow. From a distance, the icefall is like a huge white curtain, vertically falling from the mountains, shining charmingly under the sunlight. As you get closer, you can see that the ice layer presents a wonderful texture, some like fish scales, some like feathers, and the uncanny craftsmanship of nature is amazing. The surrounding branches are wrapped in ice, like crystal carvings. When the wind blows, it makes a crisp sound, like a piece of music played in fairyland. Standing under the icefall, the shock hits the soul directly. Its beauty cannot be fully described in words. Only by seeing it with your own eyes can you truly experience it. This winter, you must come to Shaohua Mountain for a date with the icefall. Believe me, you will be deeply impressed by its beauty! #Shaohua Mountain #Ice Waterfall #Winter Beauty

Painless mountain climbing: First, take the cable car up the mountain, then climb three sections of ladders directly to the summit. To the right: Take the scenic shuttle bus to the Oil Painting Forest to view the autumn leaves; the route is downhill and takes approximately 60-90 minutes. To the left: Hike along the Dragon Head Cloud Plank Road; the plank road is flat and easy to walk, but the return trip involves climbing stairs, making it more strenuous and taking approximately 120-180 minutes.
Anyone who says a path suitable for the elderly without having to walk up steps is delusional. A loop of four or five kilometers takes one or two hours, and there are plenty of steps along it. How could a road built along a mountain not have steps?
