A visit to Nanyue Hengshan Scenic Area: A breathtaking combination of scenery and culture. I'll definitely be back!
I made a special trip to Nanyue Hengshan this weekend and was completely captivated by the allure of the "Five Great Mountains." From the natural beauty to the cultural heritage, everything was truly impressive and I have to give it my all!
• Transportation: Convenient and hassle-free: From Hengshan West High-Speed Railway Station, take the scenic area bus (15 yuan/person, about 20 minutes) directly to the visitor center, eliminating the need to find a car or drive around. If driving, use the "Nanyue Hengshan Visitor Center Parking Lot" navigation. There's ample parking, and it's a 5-minute walk to the scenic area's eco-friendly shuttle bus. The mountain roads are clearly marked, so you don't have to worry about getting lost. The scenic area's eco-friendly shuttle bus and cable car offer a flexible route. If you prefer not to climb, take the cable car to Nantianmen and then walk to Zhurong Peak for a relaxing and scenic view.
• Service: Thoughtful and attentive: Volunteers at the visitor center entrance offer guide maps and patiently explain the route. On eco-friendly buses, drivers share historical stories along the way, such as the origin of the "Chuanyan Poetry Forest," acting like a complimentary tour guide. At Zhurong Temple on the mountaintop, staff remind visitors to be mindful of the steps below and answer any inquiries with a smile and a detailed, unfazed smile.
• Hygiene: Clean, like a "natural oxygen bar": Trash is virtually unseen along the entire scenic trail, even around the remote Fanguang Temple. Rest area seats and trash cans are neatly arranged and odor-free. Eco-friendly buses and cable car cabins are cleaned regularly, ensuring dust-free seats and a comfortable ride. The mountain's lush greenery adds a refreshing air.
• Environment: A truly relaxing blend of natural beauty: The natural scenery is breathtaking! From the summit of Zhurong Peak, you can see a sea of clouds billowing. The towering ancient trees surrounding the Sutra Hall create a dramatic scene, with sunlight filtering through the leaves. The waterfall at Water Curtain Cave, while small, is crystal clear, making it a refreshing summer retreat. The cultural atmosphere is also rich. The ancient architecture of the Nanyue Temple is decorated with carved beams and painted rafters. Despite the vibrant incense, it's not cluttered. Walking inside, you can feel the weight of history. Even the stone inscriptions on the mountain are worth savoring.
Next time, I want to bring my family here for a two-day stay to fully experience the morning mist and night views of Hengshan. It's definitely a scenic spot worth visiting numerous times!
