I bought my ticket for Fanjingshan around 2:00 PM. Upon arrival, I headed straight into the mountain. The bus ride took about 20 minutes, with no lines, to the cable car. The line took half an hour to arrive. I'd like to praise the customer service at Fanjingshan. The ladies in the queue were constantly engaging with visitors, playing rock-paper-scissors for bookmarks and singing for handbags. I joined in and even sang a bit of "Little Dimples" [grin]. The cable car was fast and steep, and the second half was thrilling, traversing through the mist. After getting off the cable car, the sky was gray and we immediately put on our raincoats and began the climb. My mom was incredibly impressive this time, rushing to the Mushroom Rock first, with my dad close behind. I was at the end with my two children, one complaining of dizziness and the other of nausea. For safety, I called a sedan chair to carry them up. We had reserved a reservation for the Golden Summit, but a sudden downpour caused a white mist to form in our breath. After waiting at the temple for half an hour, we finally gave up. I was about to descend the mountain at 5:30 when I noticed traffic was already starting to build. I'd already prepared myself mentally beforehand, braving the wind and rain, feeling hungry and cold, but I couldn't lose my composure and kept smiling. ☺️ It took about two hours to reach the cable car entrance. The staff prepared hot ginger soup, which was heartwarming [love]. There were also some interactive riddles with the ladies. Fanjing Mountain was definitely worth it. There are actually a lot of negative reviews online, and I almost gave up before coming. China is a country with a large population, so queues are inevitable. Be prepared and accept everything beforehand to have a good experience [rose]

I bought a VIP ticket this time to skip the line and enter the park. The VIP service was excellent. There were VIP service areas at each stage where I could rest and enjoy free snacks, fruit, and mineral water. Huangguoshu Waterfall is a truly breathtaking sight and soul-stirring experience, awe-inspiring as it is the wonders of nature. It was well worth it!
On the first day, we arrived a little after 10:00 AM. Seeing the long line for the Huangguoshu Waterfall shuttle bus, we headed straight for the lower section of Tianxing Bridge. Before we even entered, we heard an announcement that the cable car was under maintenance and the entire journey would take three hours, so our elderly family member skipped it. It did take three hours. Because of the crowds, there were long lines to enter and exit Tianxing Cave and Yinlianzhui Pond, which added at least an hour to our visit. Afterward, we ate and took a nap. In the afternoon, we went to Doupotang. The next morning, we headed back to the scenic area to visit Huangguoshu Waterfall at 8:00 AM. The escalator package for the waterfall was easy, and with Doupotang, a half-day was more than enough. Since we couldn't get a reservation for Water Curtain Cave, reservations were waived for VIPs. The observation deck closest to the main entrance was inaccessible without a reservation or VIPs. 🌝🌝 Tianxing Bridge is not very friendly to the elderly and children, with many steps and a long, narrow path. Yinlianzhui Pond was nice, but the cable car might be a bit better.

A visit to Qianhu Miao Village is a must. Tie-dyeing, batik, taking photos, eating and strolling... I guess that's how everyone does it! It's quite commercialized, but if it weren't, the service wouldn't be up to par! Hopefully, the ticket revenue will benefit the locals as well. Staying there, the B&B is in a great location, offering some quiet time.
I didn't listen. It's too commercialized. Walking from the tourist center to the ticket gate requires walking through a large commercial area. Then there's the long line for the transfer bus. The Dabeimen No. 1 Bridge Observation Deck and other places are incredibly crowded. Comparing the scenery of Qianhu Miao Village at night with that of the daytime, the scenery isn't quite as good as the photos online. Maybe I just don't have great taste, but I understand. I'll try my luck next time I visit a Dong village.

Visiting Elephant Mountain during a downpour is a unique experience. It's not without its crowds, but it's definitely better than on a sunny day. Free reservations are available. Enter through Gate 3, scan the QR code, and follow the trails to Love Island, then Elephant Mountain. We took a bamboo raft for 50 yuan per person, circling the mountain twice, and took photos with the ospreys (10 yuan for both). Finally, we exited through Gate 1 and strolled back to the hotel. Prices in tourist cities are quite impressive, I love it!
We first arrived in Guilin from Yangshuo. Xingping Town in Yangshuo (the 20 RMB place) was filthy and messy. The Elephant Trunk Hill scenic area was small, and prices were incredibly high. A bottle of mineral water cost 6 RMB...
There's a bus stop right outside Gate 2, which was quite convenient.

The night tour of Zhijin Cave was a fantastic experience, highly recommended. The night tour is limited to 3,500 people, so the crowds were minimal. We were able to take as many photos and explore as we wanted, which was truly wonderful. It felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. The entire tour took only an hour and a half, and it wasn't tiring at all. It's also family-friendly, so the kids had no trouble walking.
The scenery is generally good, but it was flood season and the boat ride was not allowed, which made the overall experience a little less enjoyable. In addition, it was cloudy that day. There were quite a lot of people in Zhijin Cave, and it took almost 2 hours to walk down.
