The botanical garden on the top of the hill in the town of Eze was once a castle. It was destroyed by Louis XIV's army during the Spanish War in 1706, and the ruins of the castle became the current botanical garden. In the exotic botanical garden, hundreds of exotic plants are gathered, including: agave, aloe, cactus, etc. There are more than 400 varieties in total, mainly from America and Africa. In addition to these exotic flowers and plants, there are also many sculptures by French sculptor Jean Richard Philips.
