Devil City, also known as Urho Wind City, is known to the local Mongolian people as "Sulumuhaq." The Uyghurs call it "Shayitan Keerxi," meaning "Devil City." In fact, this area is a typical area of Yardang landforms. "Yardang" means "steep-sided hillock" in Uyghur. Yardang landforms are best known for the Yardang area near Lop Nur in the Tarim Basin of Xinjiang. Yardang landforms are a type of wind-eroded landform formed under drought and strong winds. Located in the Urho mining area on the northwest edge of the Junggar Basin in Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, in the lower reaches of the Jiamu River, 100 kilometers southwest of Karamay City, there is a unique wind-eroded landform with an unusual shape. In Mongolian, Urho means "trap," meaning "place with a trap."
Very good, very good, it is necessary to go there, this is indeed very beautiful. Very good, very good, it is necessary to go there, this is indeed very beautiful. Very good, very good, it is necessary to go there, this is indeed very beautiful.

It was my first time in Xinjiang. The tour guide I booked was very nice. He contacted us in advance and informed us of the walking route, parking location, and tips for entering the museum. He also gave very good explanations and a wide range of knowledge. He combined our basic understanding of Xinjiang with a targeted introduction. He also had a very good grasp of the rhythm and the content of the explanation was easy to understand. It was a very good experience.
Teacher He's explanations were excellent, with clear content and vivid stories. Visiting the museum gave me a brief understanding of Xinjiang's history and culture, like being in a time-travel drama, traveling through time and space. I particularly enjoyed the following exhibits and related explanations: "Five Stars Rising from the East, Blessing China," the Loulan Beauty and the mummified body of the Xiaohe Princess, and the story about the joint burial of a man and a woman at the Subexi Cemetery. It was so informative and fascinating. Thank you, Teacher He! It really gave us a deeper understanding of the beauty of Xinjiang!

I went there in winter, but it wasn't cold even when the sun was shining. I always have to check in at famous attractions. It was cold and there weren't many people. I just walked around and looked around. There were many extra activities, but I didn't participate due to time constraints.
The Flaming Mountains are located in Turpan and stretch across the central Turpan Basin, starting from Taoergou in the west and ending at Baishugou in the east. It is bordered by Aydingkol Lake in the southwest, Kumtagh in the southeast, and the sloping plain in front of Bogda Mountain in the north.

Dushanzi Grand Canyon is worthy of being the most scenic spot on the Duku Highway! The canyon is spectacular, with steep cliffs, a gurgling stream at the bottom, and a wealth of activities to enjoy. It is a perfect combination of nature and modern entertainment.
It feels pretty good. There are not many people, the scenic area is not big, and the parking lot is convenient. The children like it very much. The children said that the Ice and Snow World is very fun, but it is too cold and they usually come out in twenty minutes. There are a lot of food and drinks, and people selling things. It feels quite comfortable to walk around. It is much better than the crowded attractions. The third picture is a cliff restaurant. The food is super expensive. You can only enter after buying something. The ice cream costs a little more than 60. There is no need to go in to see the scenery. You can also see it from the outside. You can just go in and sit down and rest. The taste is average. I bought a little and the children didn’t finish it.

Xinjiang International Grand Bazaar: A Pearl of the Western Regions, Embracing Charm and Livelihood As a seasoned travel blogger, I've had the privilege of visiting Xinjiang many times, and the Xinjiang International Grand Bazaar is undoubtedly one of my most captivating landmarks. Known as the "Pearl of the Western Regions," this vast market is more than just a shopping destination; it serves as a window to the world, showcasing Xinjiang's rich ethnic culture, time-honored history, and vibrant local flavor. I. A Fusion of History and Culture Originally built in the late 19th century, the Xinjiang International Grand Bazaar has undergone numerous renovations and expansions, becoming a cultural landmark in Urumqi. Once a crucial hub on the Silk Road, it witnessed the exchange and integration of Eastern and Western cultures. Strolling through the alleys of the Grand Bazaar is like traveling back in time, immersing yourself in the ancient yet vibrant atmosphere of history. Architectural styles blend here, showcasing the Uyghur dome mosque, traditional Han courtyards, and Kazakh yurts, creating a vibrant and vibrant ethnic landscape. II. Rich and Diverse Ethnic Customs The Grand Bazaar epitomizes Xinjiang's multiethnic cultures. Walking through the area, you can hear Uyghur folk songs and savor authentic pilaf, grilled lamb kebabs, and naan. Every stall exudes an alluring aroma, showcasing a dazzling array of colorful handicrafts, embroidery, carpets, and jewelry. This is not only a great place for shopping, but also a perfect place to experience ethnic culture. During festivals and celebrations, lion and dragon dances and other passionate dance performances bring the Grand Bazaar to life, and visitors feel as if they are part of this sea of joy. 3. A Perfect Blend of Fireworks and Lifestyle The most captivating aspect of the Grand Bazaar is its rich, thriving atmosphere. Here, free from the hustle and bustle of the city, there's only the cries of vendors, the laughter of children, and the resounding sound of traditional music. In the mornings, the market is bustling with activity, showcasing a dazzling array of fruits, vegetables, and fresh dairy products. In the evenings, the market lights up, and the aroma of grilled kebabs permeates the air, attracting a constant stream of diners. The Grand Bazaar at night takes on a unique charm, with the lights illuminating the smiling faces of the people, creating a scene reminiscent of a floating fireworks display. IV. Specialty Food and Handicrafts When visiting the Xinjiang Grand Bazaar, you absolutely cannot miss the authentic cuisine. Grilled lamb skewers, baked buns, milk tea, kumis...each dish is imbued with rich ethnic flavor. Besides the food, the handicrafts are also a must-see. Exquisite carpets, embroidery, silver jewelry, and wood carvings—each piece embodies the meticulous craftsmanship and wisdom of the people. These items are not only highly ornamental but also perfect gifts for friends and family. V. Travel Tips and Experiences We recommend doing your research in advance and understanding some basic ethnic culture and etiquette to better immerse yourself in the local atmosphere. Wear comfortable shoes and have some cash on hand, as many stalls may not accept electronic payments. The best time to experience the bazaar is in the evening and evening, when the lights are ablaze and the atmosphere is lively. Additionally, participating in a guided tour or cultural performance can help you gain a deeper understanding of the unique charm of this region. Xinjiang International Grand Bazaar is not only a shopping paradise, but also a cultural treasure house.
Xinjiang International Grand Bazaar is Urumqi's most iconic cultural landmark, combining shopping, dining, and local cultural experiences. The following review examines the area from various perspectives: I. Core Features Architecture and Culture The main structure features Islamic-style buildings, with ochre brick walls and blue glazed tiles, reminiscent of traditional Kashgar residences. The 80-meter-tall Silk Road Observation Tower offers panoramic views of the city and is a landmark attraction. The Bazaar showcases Uyghur intangible cultural heritage, such as Adras silk, Uyghur embroidery, and traditional musical instrument making, recreating the prosperity of the ancient Silk Road. Culinary Experience Must-try snacks: Red Willow Lamb Skewers (10-15 RMB/skewers), Hotan Baked Buns (3 RMB/piece), Ganggang Meat (32 RMB/portion), and handmade yogurt. Note: Dining prices are slightly higher than in the city center. It is recommended to sample local specialties in small quantities. For main meals, visit the nearby Consulate Alley. Shopping and Entertainment Items include dried fruits (raisins, almonds), medicinal herbs, jade, and handicrafts. Bargaining is required. 15. Ethnic song and dance performances are held every night (Building 4, 4th Floor, 200-400 yuan). The opening ceremony (one in the morning and one in the afternoon) is not to be missed. 16. II. Itinerary Suggestions Time: Allow 2-3 hours for the tour, preferably in the evening, to combine dining and the night view. 17. Transportation: Take Metro Line 1 to Erdaoqiao Station, Exit A; a taxi from the airport takes about 30 minutes. 16. Tips for Avoiding Pitfalls: Ask for prices before shopping to avoid high prices at tourist attractions. 15. Respect ethnic customs and avoid sensitive topics. 1. III. Pros and Cons ✅ Pros: Rich cultural atmosphere, perfect for taking photos and experiencing the charm of the Western Regions. 28. A one-stop shop for all your dining, shopping, and entertainment needs, especially suitable for first-time visitors. 67. ❌ ‌Disadvantages‌: Some items are significantly overpriced, so it's recommended to compare prices at local markets like Jinquan Mall before purchasing. ‌1] Be careful with your belongings during holidays, as crowds are dense.

There's a shuttle bus to the Tianshan Grand Canyon from the Urumqi High-Speed Railway International Bus Terminal next to Urumqi Station. It doesn't run every day, so luck is key. Ticket information can be found on the WeChat mini-program "Travel 365." The bus departs at 11:00 AM, arrives at the scenic spot at 12:30 PM, and returns from there at 6:00 PM. The scenic shuttle bus only stops at Zhaobi Mountain and Swan Lake, two relatively small scenic spots, and you can explore them in about 20 minutes. Then, take the return bus the same way. The journey takes 40 minutes, but the bus is less frequent, with departures every 20 minutes or so. Plan your time accordingly. Many scenic spots shown on the map are not accessible by the scenic shuttle bus, making it better suited to self-driving.
I booked a two-day ride with Master Tian, and as always, he picked me up at the hotel on time. Since we only visited two scenic spots in the Tianshan Grand Canyon, we returned to the city at 2:00 PM. The scenery was beautiful, and I saw swans, though it was a pity the grass was a little yellow. But all that was fine, Xinjiang is so beautiful, it gives me a reason to come back next time.

The Grape Valley Scenic Area, located northeast of Turpan City in Xinjiang, is a canyon on the west side of Huoyan Mountain. Named for its abundant grape production, it is a national 5A-level tourist attraction. Scenic Spot Features 1. Rich Grape Culture Grape Valley cultivates hundreds of grape varieties, including seedless white, mare's milk, and red grapes. Known as "the sweetest grapes in the world," Grape Valley is known for its freshly picked and eaten grapes. 2. Summer Resort The valley, shaded by trees and surrounded by streams, offers a cool climate, a stark contrast to the scorching temperatures of Huoyan Mountain, making it an ideal summer escape. 3. Five Major Tourist Areas (from north to south) Grape Valley Amusement Park: Features the "Thousand Tears Spring" waterfall, century-old mulberry trees, and a grape corridor. Wang Luobin Music and Art Museum: Exhibits the artistic career of Wang Luobin, the "King of Western Songs." Dawazi Folk Culture Park: Enjoy traditional Uyghur high-wire walking performances. Afanti Amusement Park: A folk park themed around Afanti culture. Oasis Grape Manor: Experience grape-picking, winemaking, and other activities. Address: Gaochang District, Turpan City, Xinjiang, approximately 11 kilometers from the city center. Opening Hours: 9:30 AM–7:30 PM. Admission Policy: Tickets will be withdrawn effective May 1, 2025.
Grape Valley, as a scenic spot, is very large. I heard that it is 8 kilometers one way, with a total of 5 parking spots. It is necessary to take the scenic shuttle, not to mention that there is no entrance fee. There are many scenic shuttles and you basically don’t have to wait, which is very convenient.

Stepping into the heart of Jiangbulake feels like stepping into a time-forgotten dreamland. Its beauty is poetic and captivating. Clouds frolic in the sky like playful spirits, wheat fields compose a musical symphony, and mountains form the backbone of this land, creating a scene that feels like stepping into a magnificent landscape painting.
The landscape of Jiangbulak is like God knocking over the palette. There are golden wheat, green wheat, goose yellow rapeseed flowers. There are small purple flowers. Of course, due to the different colors of the plants, there are light green gray green. Tianshan strange slope, uphill does not need to slip up, downhill has to work hard to walk, haha, you say wonderful. The beautiful scenery makes people linger. The beautiful women wear beautiful skirts to leave shadows in the wheat waves and the sea of flowers. Paradise, helicopters overlooking the scenic spot is like seeing a colorful blanket. It's really lingering and unwilling to leave!

The equestrian show was also fantastic. With the commentator's explanation, handsome horses made their grand entrances. Under the skillful guidance of the equestrian, they showed off their unique skills. There were also performances like chasing girls, horseback archery, and sheep-catching. The cutest one, pictured in Figure 5, was the smallest horse in the world. Don't be fooled by its small size; it ran incredibly fast.
I came here 10 years ago. At that time, there were not so many business types and it was not a tourist attraction. It has changed a lot. You can see the Arabian horses up close, feed them, touch them, and take all kinds of photos. The only thing is that the carrots are too expensive, 30/a small bunch. Remember to buy carrots (cut into strips) outside, it’s cheaper.
