Dongyuan is worth a visit!!! You must hire a tour guide!!! Sister Hongdou's explanation is super patient and detailed!! It is definitely the most worthwhile attraction in Banna! She was always explaining for the entire 5 hours!!!
I booked this tour on Ctrip the day before the trip and it was excellent. The guide's explanations were excellent. The park is large, making the electric carts convenient for traveling with children and elderly. We saw many insects and stars during the night tour. For example, they explained which stick insects we could handle and which we couldn't. The explanations were humorous and lively, and the kids loved it. Kudos to the guides Xiaodao and Wangtianshu.

Wild Elephant Valley is a bit far from downtown Xishuangbanna. We drove there, and while the parking lot wasn't very busy, finding a spot wasn't difficult. There's also a shuttle bus from the downtown visitor center, and round-trip tickets are quite affordable. While you can't see wild elephants in the Wild Elephant Valley, there are performances by trained elephants. These elephants have experienced the world and aren't afraid of people. The performances consist of just a few simple moves.
The main attractions in Xishuangbanna are definitely worth visiting, but if you go more than once, it won't be that interesting. Seeing wild elephants is practically impossible, with so many people walking around, the elephants will smell people from a distance and won't come over. But it's nice for city dwellers to take a walk and experience the natural world.

The park is beautiful with great stops along the way. We paid to use the battery car between stops but could see many interesting points of interest along the walkway up. The staff were very helpful to point us where to go when we looked lost as non-chinese speaking tourists. I would highly recommend this attraction.
You have to buy a ticket that includes a shuttle bus. It's a long way to walk by yourself. There is no explanation on the ticket purchase page. You can only watch the peacocks flying at the foot of the mountain, and the rest are all on the mountain. After entering the door, sit in this restaurant by the river and you can watch the peacocks flying.

Xishuangbanna Dai Garden is located in Ganlanba, Xishuangbanna, Yunnan Province. It is a national 4A-level tourist attraction and the only folk eco-tourism attraction in Xishuangbanna that showcases the history, culture, religion, sports, architecture, living customs, clothing, food, production and life of the Dai people.
The most unmissable experience at the Xishuangbanna Dai National Park is the lush greenery feast in a Dai bamboo house! Not only can you see authentic Dai architecture here, you can also savor authentic Dai cuisine. The bamboo houses are scattered throughout the park, each with its own unique charm. Living in one of them feels like immersing yourself in the daily life of the Dai people. [Scenic Drive] Starting from Gaozhuang, the first half of the drive follows the emerald Lancang River, shaded by trees. The second half passes through several Dai villages, each imbued with a unique ethnic atmosphere. Approaching Manyuan Village, you'll encounter vast banana groves and, depending on the season, pineapple fields, creating a breathtaking scenery all along the way. 👍[Village Features] The houses in Manyuan Village are wooden stilt houses, with the first floor suspended in the air and the second floor for living. Each household is filled with flowers and succulents. The roadside trees, including papaya, sugar apple, jujube, and apple date, line the streets. The villagers are very down-to-earth, and the fruit they sell at the stalls is all homegrown. While slightly more expensive than at the farmers' market, it's much cheaper than tourist areas like Gaozhuang. ⭐️[Village Heart] Every Dai village has a village heart, around which the village's architecture and planning are centered. 🏯[Temple] Every Dai village has a temple. The temple in Manyuan Village is quite impressive, with beautiful Theravada Buddhist architectural style. For reasons of privacy, I only took photos of the temple's exterior and didn't go inside to pay my respects.

Our guide, Mu Layou, was fantastic! He took us on a whirlwind of fun, including eating wild fruits and sour ants. He was incredibly strong, lifting us high and pushing us back down on the swings each time. It was incredibly thrilling. Afterward, he immediately arranged for us to eat. The barbecue, chicken, and fish were all delicious. It was a truly special experience!
Escape the hustle and bustle of the city and discover nature on a hike in the Jinuo Mountain rainforest. The total distance is 5 kilometers, 2 kilometers by land and 3 kilometers by water. Along the way, you'll gain a deeper understanding of the rainforest's flora, fauna, environment, and ways of life. Dressed in a "savage costume," we experienced rainforest river tracing, high-altitude swings, tree abseiling, archery, and a rainforest feast, including sour ants and wild Sanya fruit (Banna's version of mangosteen). For families with young children (under 10 years old), we recommend booking a private tour with an experienced indigenous guide, who can provide one-on-one support for the children. Summary: Recommended family itineraries

It's fun to get in touch with nature, see the introduction of many animals, and feed the small animals. 20 yuan gives you some food and you can feed the small animals yourself. It's not tiring to walk all the way down, it's very suitable. You must buy a battery car, sit to the top of the mountain, and then walk all the way down to play
After traveling 1,700 kilometers from Guangdong to Pu'er, I finally found the park I like. I love the various plants and cute animals in this forest. Next time I have a chance, I will definitely avoid the peak summer crowds and come here to experience the fresh air and feel the breath of nature. In short, I love it~~

The parking lot of the scenic area is very large. After entering the scenic area, we took the children to the Volcano Museum first, and then took a sightseeing bus to climb Dakong Mountain. On the way, we could overlook the hot air balloons and paragliders. We stopped and walked all the way to the crater. We did not climb Xiaokong Mountain. Compared with Ulan Hada Volcano, the volcanic landform is not too obvious, and there are fewer volcanoes that can be climbed, but it wins in the surrounding green scenery.
The ticket includes a round trip shuttle bus. I took the shuttle bus and played with the hot air balloon. The moment the balloon rose was like a dream, so exciting. Seeing the staff sweating profusely, I felt sorry for them. However, the fee was not cheap. It cost 300 yuan for 6 seconds, which is quite expensive. The Xiaokongshan crater is slightly larger than the Dakongshan crater.

I went on August 13th and waited in line for the cable car for an hour and a half. It was unbearable 😣... I bought my ticket on Ctrip. Remember, I must go to the cable car ticket window to get my paper ticket before lining up!!! On a sunny day, the cable car offers a stunning view of Erhai Lake in Dali. There's a very high section, so those afraid of heights should keep their eyes closed. The one-way trip takes about 15 minutes.
Cangshan Mountain in Dali is so beautiful! The Gantong Cableway is great value for money. Along the way, you can see the Cangshan pine forest and overlook Erhai Lake. It's spectacular! The squirrels on Cangshan Mountain are so fat and love to eat potato chips 😁

Mengbanasi is not bad. It is more beautiful if you come in spring when it blooms. There are many beautiful and precious stones and ancient trees. I bought a combined ticket, and Global Pass gave me a 30 yuan discount. I only paid more than 30 yuan for the two attractions, which is quite cost-effective.
"Mongbanasi" is a Dai language, meaning "a magical, beautiful and rich place". The park is a rare eco-tourism scenic spot with a collection of ancient trees, rare stones and treasures. It presents a unique "small place, big world". Among them, there are more than 300 century-old trees, 4 thousand-year-old trees, and more than 10 rare and endangered plants in the park. In the museum and beside the trail, there are more than 200 kinds of rare stones and jade, Huanglong jade treasures, and more than 130 large specimens of endangered famous trees from Africa, South America, Southeast Asia and other countries around the world. There are three exhibition halls and nine parks in the park: Paleontological Fossils, Petrified Jade Hall, Rare Stones and Famous Trees Hall, World Famous Trees, Large Root Art Hall, as well as Bamboo Forest, Plum Garden, Bougainvillea Garden, Banyan Tree Garden, Crape Myrtle Garden, Osmanthus Garden, Rare Plant Garden, Celebrity Tree Garden, Ancient Tree Garden.

Although it is not big, you can observe the animals up close. But I have to complain that the food there is too expensive. For 20 yuan, you only get a few carrots and a few cabbage leaves.
How can there be a zoo with such a good value for money? It is exactly the feeling of going to the zoo when I was a child. The route is also very simple. You just need to follow one path and you can see all kinds of animals. It is worth the ticket price. I have brought my children here twice and it feels great.
