It is a place worth visiting all year round and suitable for people of all ages. If you plan to have lunch, it is recommended to spend more than 3 hours sightseeing. If you don't have lunch, you can spend 2-3 hours to stroll around.
The Gassho-zukuri houses in Shirakawa-go are like a fairytale world! The thatched-roof houses are so dreamy when covered with snow in winter, just like a scene from a postcard. The spring and summer are full of greenery, and the autumn is dotted with red leaves. The four seasons are incredibly beautiful! You can go into the Gassho-zukuri houses to experience traditional life, and it is even more romantic when the lights are turned on at night. The world cultural heritage is well-deserved, and you can take a blockbuster photo with just a snap!

Went in Jan, spend a few hours there. there is a cafe at mid of the ropeway, and the view is very relaxing. do plan your timing in between the two ropeways.
Unlike the common cable cars in China, Shin-Takaho's cable car is a larger one. Tickets are easy to use and the cable car runs smoothly. The cable car goes up all the way, through the clouds, from the autumn colors at the bottom of the mountain to the early winter scene at the top of the mountain. The scenery is beautiful and pleasant.

Hida Kokubunji Temple is very small. Entering the mountain gate, there is a bell tower, a main hall, three-story pagodas on both sides, and a side courtyard. There are two exquisite Guanyin statues in the courtyard, which should preserve the style of the Nara period.
Hida Kokubunji Temple has a history of more than 500 years and is an important cultural relic of Japan. Kokubunji Temple is only about 5 minutes' walk from Miyagawa Morning Market, Sannomiya Ancient Street, and Takayama Station. Kokubunji Temple is famous for the 1,200-year-old ginkgo tree in the temple. In winter, the leaves of the ginkgo tree fall off, and it looks a bit vicissitudes of time. It should be very beautiful in autumn. The three-story pagoda in the temple is located near the center.

Gero Onsen is an alkaline, simple hot spring with a pH above 9, creating a silky, soft water. This spring's natural exfoliating and cleansing properties leave skin feeling incredibly smooth and refined, earning it the nickname "beauty bath" or "beautifying skin bath." Upon entering the bath, the water feels slippery, coated in a thin layer of jelly, a truly delightful experience.
The onsen experience is good for a quick recharge the place is nice to walk around and, of cos enjoy
