My little one is a Harry Potter fan, and this trip to Universal Studios was a dream come true. We bought two-day tickets and tried all the rides on the first day and all the shows on the second day, including a second try on some of the rides we found particularly fun on the first day. I highly recommend Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey and Transformers: Spark of Fire. I highly recommend the Harry Potter and the Magic Castle light show at night; it's fine to just watch it from a distance or skip it altogether.
We arrived before 10:00 AM and were able to enter the park in about 20 minutes—very quick. The joyful atmosphere was immediately apparent upon entering. We took it easy, choosing whichever attractions were least crowded. In total, we managed to do 10 attractions that day. The Halloween haunted houses were fun, and Mansion 81 was the most frightening. It was just that the experience lasted a long time. The supposed ghosts were put on by the staff, so just don't be the first one to arrive. The restaurants along the North Ring Road are really good. Several on Universal Boulevard are reasonably priced, and there's even KFC. All in all, we had a fun day.

Xiucai said that Guide Li took me on a tour of the Forbidden City. It's so vast, and my feet hurt from walking. There are so many old artifacts and stories, and even a three-hour tour wouldn't have been enough to tell them all. After the tour, Guide Li shared his afternoon itinerary and food tips. If I ever visit the Forbidden City again, I'll definitely ask Guide Li for help.
How can you not visit the Forbidden City when you come to Beijing? I have only been able to see it in a hurry when I visited it before. This time it is different. I brought my old mother to Beijing and hired a tour guide. Teacher Abin is really good, with high professional level, cultured and gentle speaking, funny and humorous. He deserves full praise~~~ Here are some beautiful pictures

Great Wall of China is indeed very magnificent. Had a good and tiring walk at Badaling. May come back again if I have the energy and vacation. Indeed awesome journey. Excellent.
The Badaling Cable Car entrance is right after getting off the high-speed train. From a distance, it looked deserted, but the line inside was incredibly long. The single-ride cable car ticket was very useful, allowing for barrier-free access. Traveling off-peak was a good option, so it took only 40 minutes to board the cable car, which took us directly to Tower 7. We climbed the steep slopes, then the 8th, 9th, 10th, and 11th. Perseverance is key. If you can climb the Great Wall, you can do anything.

Essential Notes on the Yungang Grottoes~ 🌟Location: Located at the southern foot of Wuzhou Mountain, approximately 16 kilometers west of Datong City, the grottoes are carved into the mountainside, stretching approximately 1 kilometer from east to west. 🌟History: One of the largest ancient grotto complexes in China, it is considered one of the "Three Great Grottoes of China" along with the Mogao Grottoes in Dunhuang and the Longmen Grottoes in Luoyang. It is also a world-renowned art treasure trove, and was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2001. 🌟Excavation Period: From the reign of Emperor Wencheng of the Northern Wei Dynasty (circa 460 AD) to the Zhengguang period of Emperor Xiaoming (circa 524 AD), a period of approximately 64 years. 🌟Existing Caves: 45 main caves, 252 large and small niches, and over 51,000 stone sculptures (some small Buddha statues have been severely weathered). 🌟Historical Background: The excavation of the Yungang Grottoes is closely linked to the rise and fall of the Northern Wei Dynasty. The Northern Wei Dynasty was a regime established by the Tuoba tribe of the Xianbei people. After unifying the north, they established their capital in Pingcheng (present-day Datong). To consolidate their rule, the imperial family promoted Buddhism and made it the state religion. 🌟Artistic Characteristics and Periodization: 1. Early Period (460-465 AD): The Five Caves of Tan Yao (Caves 16-20), excavated under the guidance of the eminent monk Tan Yao, symbolize the five emperors of the early Northern Wei Dynasty and pioneered the practice of imperial cave sculpture. The Buddha statues are majestic and towering, with round faces, prominent noses, deep eyes, broad shoulders and powerful bodies. They wear robes that either expose the right shoulder or cover the entire shoulder, embodying the virile spirit of the northern nomadic peoples. 2. Middle Period (465-494 AD): Caves 1-15, constructed during the heyday of the Northern Wei Dynasty, when the Sinicization reforms had already begun. The Buddha statues are meticulously carved and magnificent, featuring a wide variety of themes. They include not only Buddha images but also numerous reliefs depicting donors, musicians, and stories from the Buddha's past and future lives. The Buddha's clothing became loose and wide-sleeved, and his features became more delicate, embodying a Central Plains style. The murals and decorations of this period are extremely ornate. 3. Late Period (494-525 AD): The small and medium-sized caves west of Cave 20 were constructed after the Northern Wei Dynasty relocated its capital to Luoyang. Imperial construction ceased, and private cave construction flourished. The caves of this period became smaller in size, but the figures are slender and handsome, with long necks and narrow shoulders, gentle expressions, and flowing clothing. This reflects the aesthetic taste of the Southern Dynasties scholar-officials and laid the foundation for the later artistic style of the Longmen Grottoes. 🌟 Representative Caves: Cave 20 (Open-air Buddha): The symbol of the Yungang Grottoes, its main statue of seated Sakyamuni stands 13.7 meters tall. Cave 5 (Big Buddha Cave): The seated Buddha in the center of the cave stands 17 meters tall, making it the tallest Buddha statue in the Yungang Grottoes. Cave 6 (Sakyamuni Cave): The carvings depict the complete story of Sakyamuni from birth to enlightenment, with a strong narrative flow and a pinnacle of carving artistry. Cave 12 (Music Cave): Dozens of lifelike carvings of instrumentalists are invaluable resources for the study of ancient Chinese music.
I was stunned by this masterpiece when I first encountered it in 2009. Returning this year, I have only one thing to say: For murals, the Mogao Grottoes in Dunhuang are the best; but for stone carvings, the Yungang Grottoes are unrivaled. There's only one, and only only, Yungang Grottoes, and nothing else can surpass them. Its beauty, its exquisiteness, its brilliance... every beautiful word can be used to describe it, and it's not an exaggeration. No matter how you look at it, you can't get enough of it, and no explanation can ever fully capture its beauty. I highly recommend anyone visiting Shanxi to see it for themselves.

The palace of Prince Gong was founded in 1776. After seven masters, such as Heyi and Prince Gong, they witnessed the whole process of the Qing Dynasty's transition from prosperity to decline, and were an important physical carrier for studying the politics, society and culture of the Qing Dynasty. Hou Ren's evaluation of the famous historical geographer is "half of the Qing Dynasty", highlighting its irreplaceable historical significance.
As the most complete and largest Qing Dynasty Wangfu complex in China, Prince Gong's Mansion is known as "a Prince Gong Mansion with half of Qing Dynasty history", with extremely high historical, cultural and architectural value, and is a national tourist attraction and a national-level museum. Tourist evaluations are generally positive.

The Temple of Heaven, located on Beijing's central axis, is a place of prayer, boasting the best-preserved and most exquisite architecture of the Temples of Heaven, Earth, Sun, and Moon. The Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests is a landmark of Beijing and even China. The park's vast expanse offers a breathtaking, quaint charm year-round, and its various buildings embody the pinnacle of ancient Chinese prayer. The park boasts verdant pines, cypresses, unusual rocks, and unique trees, while the magnificent illuminations of the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests are a true classic. The park offers affordable admission, with discounts for students and seniors. Located in the heart of the city, the park is easily accessible by subway and public transportation.
The Temple of Heaven is a complex of imperial religious Confucian buildings situated in the southeastern part of central Beijing. The complex was visited by the Emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties for annual ceremonies of prayer to Heaven for a good harvest. It's "a masterpiece of architecture and landscape design which simply and graphically illustrates a cosmogony of great importance for the evolution of one of the world's great civilizations..."It's a beautiful place. It's an excellent place for meditation as well.

Autumn Summer Palace, a century-old gui Zhengyi Fanghua. Go to the Paiyun Palace and Leshou Hall, finely chopped gold foils are covered with branches, sweet fragrance wrapped in autumn wind overflowing, mixed with water vapor in Kunming Lake, making people feel comfortable. Stop under the flowers, watch the light and shadows spill through the gap, listen to the light of the cruise ship rowing, the nose is cinnamon fragrance, the bottom of the eyes is the red wall yellow tile and the blue wave. No need to deliberately find the scenery, only this wisp of fragrance, let the autumn garden more gentle poetry.
Teacher Wu Ping was very knowledgeable and kept explaining throughout the tour. She was very considerate of the elderly and always took the tourists into consideration. She was very attentive. At the end, she even gave us a fun little gift - building blocks. I didn't feel too tired after following the whole tour, and I learned a lot. It was really eye-opening. A highly recommended tour guide.

1. The Hanging Temple of Hengshan Mountain. The entire temple clings to the cliffs of Hengshan Mountain, supported by only a single pillar. It's incredibly precarious, seemingly ready to collapse at any moment, a truly daunting sight. 2. The Hanging Temple at the foot of Hengshan Mountain is a breathtakingly ingenious structure. This massive temple seems to soar into the air, leaving you in awe of the ingenuity of the craftsmen thousands of years ago. 3. I wonder how the builders of the Hanging Temple managed to transport the stones and wood up the mountain. 4. The Hanging Temple of Hengshan Mountain, the Northern Peak, is truly a rare sight.

Best scenic views. Good walk. Clean. Noone smoking. Definite choice for seeing great wall.
best plan is to take cable car up to station 14 and walk towards station 4, take another gondola lift or luge down. Most are down slope from station 14 to station 4. I brought water and bread up, then realise few stations has small stall selling coffee, milk tea and food.

The Ulan Butong Scenic Area is truly worth a visit. The air is fresh, the autumn leaves are golden, the lake is azure, and the cattle, sheep, and horses are running freely. It is truly beautiful.
The second time we visited was during the off-season, when there were fewer people and the scenery was beautiful. The experience was strong, including horseback riding, archery, and eating lamb skewers. The scenery was so beautiful that every picture was a blockbuster. It felt like we were traveling back in time, far away from the city.
