This completely changed my imagination of Danxia! Walking under the stars, watching the colorful mountains illuminated by lights, it felt like I had traveled to another planet. The performance was also wonderful, telling stories through light and shadow. The overall experience exceeded my expectations and I highly recommend this night tour!
After entering the scenic area, we took the scenic shuttle bus to visit each of the four observation decks. The shuttle runs frequently, making it easy to get on and off at each stop.
We had elderly people with us, so we took our time, from 3 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., a total of 4.5 hours. For your reference, there's a direct bus from Zhangye West Station to the scenic area's north gate for 40 yuan round trip, which is quite convenient.

My first time at Ta'er Temple, I hired a guide who spent 30% of my time looking and 70% listening. The guide was very detailed, and after walking through the buildings with him, I was truly filled with awe and respect for every single one. I highly recommend it, and you should definitely visit.
There were still quite a few people entering around 4 pm. I hired a guide at the ticket office, but it wasn't particularly interesting. It was just like working on an assembly line, but it's worth seeing when you're in Xining.
There were quite a few photoshoots taking place at the entrance, and they were very cheap and could be discounted. I recommend renting clothes and taking your own photos... The photos... hahahaha. The photos are retouched to the level of Meitu Xiuxiu.

It was a truly wonderful experience, both unique and captivating. While the in-depth tour was expensive, the experience was well worth it. The itinerary was coherent and engaging, with staff explaining each point. Before the tour, the staff even gave each visitor a "energy pack" containing water, bread, sugar, and a small towel. The staff were incredibly thoughtful and demonstrated a high level of operational management. My only suggestion for improvement was the truck used for the first leg of the trip. It would have been much better if the vehicle had been upgraded to be safer and more comfortable, or at least the suspension system could have been improved.
Because we were in a hurry, we chose a reverse in-depth tour. The staff at each point were professional and enthusiastic. There was no need to queue for reverse camel riding and off-road vehicles. The route was very suitable for children.

This was my first time at the Provincial Museum. I'd been looking forward to it for a long time, but I was a little disappointed. The building is quite historic, and there was a long line at the entrance early in the morning. However, admission was quite fast. Compared to the flow of people, the exhibition hall itself was quite crowded and chaotic.
Today's lecture was given by Professor Xiaoli, who was very patient and provided comprehensive information. After the lecture, he provided a lot of detailed information, which was very nice.
A reminder: arrive early for your scheduled time. Otherwise, the lecturer will have to contact latecomers while he's explaining, which is a real downgrade.
The museum is rich in artifacts and packed with people. I'd deduct a point for the environment, but for a provincial museum like this, the air conditioning is subpar, making the experience in the northwest feel like the heat and humidity of the south. The curatorial flow and cooling system need further planning. A quick tour takes 1-2 hours, but a more in-depth guided tour would take you a full day or even two.
