Hongcun, located in Yixian County, Huangshan City, Anhui Province, is a national 5A-level scenic area and a World Cultural Heritage site. Founded in the Southern Song Dynasty, it was originally called "Ox-shaped Village" due to its ox-like shape. The village boasts well-preserved Ming and Qing Dynasty residences and attractions such as Moon Pond, South Lake, Chengzhi Hall, and South Lake Academy. With its exquisite artificial water system, beautiful Hui-style architecture, and rich historical and cultural heritage, Hongcun is hailed as "a village in a Chinese painting."
