Jingyuetan is the most worthwhile place in Changchun. It's so large that you need to allow enough time to spend a whole day there, or at least a whole afternoon, otherwise you won't have enough time to enjoy it.
However, I strongly recommend against the other optional activities there; they're too expensive and not worth it.
The scenic area is very large, so you need to take a sightseeing bus. Because it is autumn, it is very cold to drive an open-top car by the lake. If you rent a bicycle, there are uphill slopes, which is very tiring. You have to ride forward all the time and cannot ride back. People with poor physical fitness should choose carefully. Jingyuetan is very beautiful and peaceful.

It was a very last minute trip and we were in a hurry. We didn't stay for long. The environment was beautiful. We didn't see flocks of red-crowned cranes, but we did see a few scattered ones. It was a perfect experience.

The night show is more interesting. Tickets are checked in at 16:30 and there will be NPC interactions at the entrance. The Shanhaijing Wonderful Night Show starts at 19:30, and there will be singing and interactive activities at the front to warm up the audience. If you want a good seat, enter early to get a seat. Remember to bring a raincoat because there will be a rain spray session. Umbrellas are sold on site for 35, which is too expensive.
Before going, I read the reviews and didn't buy daytime tickets, only the night show. I found the venue quite small and the equipment quite old. The evening show was quite good, and the fireworks were beautiful. But why are there discounts for children and college students, but not for middle and high school students? Jinshan Deer Park is so much fun. The elderly have a lot of fun, and the children should be very happy too. We went to see the giant pandas, but everyone was asleep at noon. You can only enter the Giant Panda Pavilion once. The Siberian tigers and giant pandas are worth seeing, but the rest is just okay. You have to pay a separate fee to take the tour bus around the park. Jingyuetan Lake is located at the north gate, so if you want to go there, you need to pay a fee to visit it.

[Departure Time]
We woke up at 3:00 AM and departed promptly at 3:30 AM. Our accommodation was a 10-minute walk from the cable car. There was basically no line when we arrived at 3:40 AM.
[Round Trip]
A group of people can usually take a single cable car. You can purchase a round-trip ticket for 78 RMB using the cable car app. Scan the QR code before boarding and you'll be given a small receipt for your descent. Don't lose it.
Don't get off at the first stop; continue down to the second and final stop. We got off just before 4:00 AM. There's a restaurant and Manner Café below the cable car. If you arrive early, you can wait inside and grab a bite to eat. There's braised pork rice, noodles, and pancakes. We had braised pork rice for 38 yuan a portion, and it tasted okay 😋
I came to the long-awaited Vanke Songhua Lake. Here, the mountains and waters are beautiful and the scenery is picturesque, like a paradise hidden among the mountains.
As soon as I stepped into the scenic area, I was shocked by the scenery in front of me. Under the blue sky, Songhua Lake is like a huge sapphire inlaid between the mountains, and the lake water is clear and sparkling. The breeze blows, and ripples appear on the lake, as if countless elves are jumping on the lake. The green mountains in the distance are rolling and reflected in the lake. The mountains and water complement each other, forming a beautiful landscape painting.
Strolling along the path by the lake, there is soft grass under your feet and lush trees on both sides. The air is filled with a faint scent of pine and soil, which makes people feel relaxed and happy. From time to time, a few birds fly over your head, chirping and singing, adding a bit of vitality to this quiet lakeside.
