Xixinan Village in Huangshan City is located in Xixinan Town, Tunxi District, Huangshan City. The Hangzhou-Huangshan High-Speed Railway and the Hefei-Fuzhou High-Speed Railway cross the border through the village, making it the closest ancient village to a high-speed rail station in Huangshan City and even in the entire province of Anhui. Although Huangshan North High-Speed Railway Station has been open for ten years, the village still retains its pristine environment, permeated with a quaint atmosphere and a secluded charm. Xixinan Ancient Village is a great first or last stop on a trip to Huangshan, offering a truly authentic and pristine Huizhou experience. 1. Tickets: Xixinan still has many villagers living there, and commercial development is relatively underdeveloped, so there's currently no entrance fee. 2. Visiting Season: Late spring, summer, and autumn are the most beautiful seasons in Xixinan. In late spring, in late March, you can admire fields of rapeseed blossoms. In summer, you can enjoy a Wizard of Oz-like atmosphere and sea of clouds. Autumn is truly a dazzling spectacle.
3. Accommodation: Xixinan is currently not very commercially open, so there are only a few B&Bs and farmhouse inns to choose from. However, nearby Changlin Village offers dozens of inns.
4. Dining: The village offers numerous farmhouse restaurants and farmhouse inns, all serving authentic Anhui cuisine at very reasonable prices. Many restaurants offer prices under 50 yuan per person, so dining in Xixinan Village is a good option.
5. Transportation: The Huangshan Tourist Bus runs through Xixinan from Huangshan North Station, Shexian North Station, and Shexian City. I highly recommend going there with your family. There are green plants on the hiking trails, so you won't be exposed to the sun while climbing. The scenery is very nice. We went there just after it rained, and the water was very large and spectacular. There was no regret for going there.
After entering the scenic area, keep going up, passing Longnutan, Yanbo Bridge, Meilin Book House and other attractions, and arrive at the ninth waterfall in about half an hour, which is the filming location of "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon". Then go up through the fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth waterfalls, turn right and cross the small bridge, walk about one kilometer to the waterfall viewing pavilion, and walk directly down the mountain to Kuzhu Creek after viewing the panoramic view of Jiulong Waterfall.
