We chose the bus + Samsung Cruise. The bus guide contacted the pick-up location in advance and picked us up on time early in the morning. It took more than half an hour to get to the pier. The guide explained the relevant things on the way. When we got to the pier, we saw many cruise ships waiting side by side. We boarded the ship based on the number and name. Some of the Samsung ships have different types. I bought the upper floor. There is a small balcony in front of the second floor where I can enjoy the breeze, take pictures, and enjoy the scenery. There are fewer people on the second floor than on the first floor, but the view on the top floor is the best, but it is sunny, so most people watch from the top floor. Lunch is provided on the boat, and the taste is average. You can go to Yangshuo for lunch, but most areas in Yangshuo are commercialized.
Guilin's landscapes are among the most beautiful in the world, and Yangshuo's are even more stunning than Guilin's. This Sichuan to Guangxi trip was incredibly successful. Our driver, Mr. Tan, was incredibly patient. He always picked us up downstairs early and patiently explained the sights to us during the trip, giving us a heads-up as we passed them. It was fantastic. Even though our two kids were making a lot of noise and joking in the car, Mr. Tan didn't seem to get annoyed at all. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

This one performance offset all the previous complaints about the heat, the crowds, and the difficulty in getting a taxi. The performance was great and well worth the ticket price. There are many more performances in the park where you can take photos and check in.
The overall performance was very creative, the singing and dancing were very professional, and the stage design was very novel and impressive. I also learned a lot about Guilin through this performance. There are many other small performances in the scenic area, which are very interactive.

The entrance is directly connected to the cable car, and then you have to climb a mountain, which is not suitable for taking very small children. There are elevators for those with large elevation differences, but no climbing required. Suitable for the elderly and children. Enter and exit from the east gate. Take the cable car first, then start your walk. There are stone benches throughout for rest. When we visited, the middle section was still under construction; there's no restaurant at the top, so only water, drinks, and snacks are available. A bit pricey. I personally don't think the mountaintop accommodations are worth the price.
A B&B nearby is more cost-effective.
Mangshan is worth a visit, but you should distinguish between the East and West Gates. If you go to the East Gate, it is better to book a hotel near the East Gate a day in advance for a quick and easy morning ascent. Go to the West Gate and stay in a hot spring hotel and go rafting, which is a great experience.

It's really big inside and quite picturesque, but it's hot and sunny. There are large green lawns, which used to be a golf course. If you go there with children, remember to rent a car, as those cars are very expensive and slow.
It is recommended to buy this package. Take the tour bus to the innermost Swan Lake in one breath, then walk around and take photos, then take the bus back to the entrance and walk and take photos again! Take a taxi at the entrance to the parking lot🅿️

Diecai Mountain.
The ticket price was cheap, only 37.5 for a couple, but the scenery was stunning. It was overcast that morning, and the wind was strong, so it wasn't hot at all.
This mountain has a famous wind tunnel, which truly blows a cool 26-degree breeze like air conditioning. The staff said that even when the temperature outside is still, the wind is still blowing through this tunnel—it's magical.
Climbing to the top is effortless, and you can see the entire river view and the mountains of varying heights and distances. Guilin's mountains are truly unique, with their staggered and undulating shapes. Their random shapes, however, create a beautiful scene when connected together.
There's a stone tablet at the top with the inscription: "Climb Diecai Mountain and live to be 130!" What a beautiful auspicious meaning.
We spent quite a while at the top, then descended to climb the nearby Crane Mountain. This mountain is truly covered in large white birds—I'm not sure if they are cranes. Why do these birds only perch on this one of so many other mountains? I don't know the reason.
There is another huge hole halfway up the mountain. I found that almost all the mountains in Guilin have holes, and they are all transparent holes. No matter which mountain I see on the road, there will be a hole in it. It is magical.

Actually it was OK. I took my kids there for a day and basically finished the tour. It rained at first but then it was cloudy so it wasn't too hot so the experience was not bad. There weren't too many people so you could get on the train and the Ferris wheel after just queuing up. The 300 yuan ticket basically includes all the attractions, which means you have to queue up if you want to play. Others' bad experience may be because there were too many people and the queues were too long. Also, eating and buying water are more expensive. Although everything is the same after entering this closed scenic area, and there are indeed fewer animal species, but it was still quite fun. It's just that I didn't get to experience some of the attractions when I took my child who was less than one year old there.

You will take a bus to go up Maoer Mountain. People who are prone to motion sickness should not sit in the last row, otherwise they will vomit easily. The scenery along the way is quite good. Our five-year-old child can also climb up. It takes about forty minutes to climb the mountain. There are three people in our family who climb, 40, 70 and 5 years old. As a Guilin native, I have never been to Maoer Mountain because many people say it is dangerous. In fact, it is not dangerous at all. I went there at the end of July. The top of the mountain was not cold at all. There was no need to wear long sleeves. The mountain is actually shaded by trees. Only the top of the mountain needs sun protection. The rest of the mountain is quite cool.
The water was very clear. The section where we went rafting around 3 or 4 in the afternoon was shaded, so the water was cool and comfortable. After the rafting, we could go up to the glass bridge to paddleboard, also out of the sun. Wear protective gear and follow the instructor's instructions. Safety officers were present throughout the section, making it a very pleasant experience. This is a great place to bring children, as the rafting speed is very slow and they have a lot of fun.
