The Taipei Palace Museum, also known as the Sun Yat-sen Museum, is located at No. 221, Section 2, Zhishan Road, Shilin District, Taipei City, Taiwan Province, China. It covers a total area of 160,000 square meters. It opened in 1965 and has undergone many expansions and renovations. 1-3
As of April 30, 2021, there are a total of 698,854 items/volumes of cultural relics, including 6,241 bronzes, 6,744 paintings, 25,595 ceramics, 3,741 calligraphy, 13,478 jades, 495 calligraphy scrolls, 773 lacquerware, 308 silks, 2,520 enamelware, 1,882 fans, 666 carvings, 900 rubbings, 2,379 stationery, 216,507 rare books, 6,953 coins, 395,551 archives, 12,495 miscellaneous items, and 1,626 textiles. 6
The museum houses rare treasures such as Jade Cabbage, Maogong Ding, Sanshi Pan, Kuaixue Shiqing Tie, "Early Spring Picture", "Hua Zigang Picture", "Yongle Encyclopedia", and "Siku Quanshu"
