The Huangcheng Xiangfu has a performance called "Weeping Time". The mansion is quite large and impressive, with exquisite architecture and well-organized rooms. However, the ticket center is located far from the attraction, which is to cater to the business of the tourist attractions!
I recommend going in as soon as it opens at 8:00 AM – there will be fewer tourists then. You can finish exploring in a little over an hour and then return to the entrance to secure a good spot. Tour groups will gradually gather here before the 10:00 AM performance starts, and they will then converge into the Huangcheng Xiangfu after the performance ends in about ten minutes!

This is truly a conscientious scenic spot! Not only are the electric shuttle buses free to ride (just wave them down!), but they also offer over ten kinds of free food and drinks. Besides snacks, they provide one free breakfast and one free lunch – all you can eat! The breakfast selection is plentiful. Before the iron flower performance, there's free hot ginger tea, and after the performance, there's free Sichuan soup. Although it's free, the quality is excellent.
The price/performance ratio was excellent, averaging 198 yuan per person for two days, including three meals a day and snacks. It was quite good, and the other drinks and food were also reasonably priced. We had Lao Zhou's flower bun, cake, soft rice, knife-cut noodles, Sichuan soup, coffee, and a photo with Secretary Zhou. We watched the iron flower show, which was quite impressive. We saw the Grand Circus, which was excellent value. We watched Gunsmoke of the Taihang Mountains, a delightful anti-Japanese drama, but it was just average. We got the wrong time when buying tickets for Lao Shanxi, so we watched for ten minutes...
