Jinta Poplar Forest is definitely the best choice for photographers who pursue natural beauty! Tourists walking in the picturesque scenery will also have the illusion of traveling in heaven!

We arrived before the end of the Populus euphratica season. A strong wind blew away a lot of leaves overnight, but we followed the guide and headed straight to Jinbo Lake. We still saw the beautiful scenery. Then we walked from Jinbo Lake to the foot of the Jinta, passing through a path covered with leaves. It was so beautiful! Jinta Desert Poplar Forest Scenic Area is an absolutely surprising four-star attraction. The poplar forest is reflected in the lake, which is unique. I went there on October 9th, and the poplar forest was 70% to 80% yellow.
Jinta Poplar Forest is located 6 kilometers northwest of Jinta County, Jiuquan City, Gansu Province. It is most suitable for self-driving (you can also drive in the scenic area). For public transportation, I first went to Jiuquan Railway Station, took a taxi to Jiuquan Bus Station (15 minutes), and then took a bus to Jinta County (a minibus, 9 yuan/person, 1 hour and 10 minutes, an average of one trip every half an hour). When you come out of Jinta County Bus Station, there are taxis at the door. It costs 15/car to the scenic area (no meter and no bargaining, 10 minutes). If there are many people and you don&rsquo;t drive yourself, you can try to charter a car from Jiuquan for round trip (300/car). The time for visiting the scenic area is 3 hours if you are fast, and 5-6 hours if you take your time to take pictures.
The Jinta Populus euphratica forest scenic area consists of five functional areas: the Populus euphratica forest-Jinbo Lake core tourist area, the Elaeagnus angustifolia forest sightseeing area, the Hanhai red willow forest conservation area, the desert entertainment experience area and the desert reed maze area, covering an area of ​​more than 80,000 mu. If you drive, you can buy a self-driving ticket to enter. There are parking lots at several scenic spots, which is very convenient. If you don&rsquo;t drive yourself, in addition to the ticket, you can also buy a scenic bus ticket (the bus departs in a continuous stream and stops at several scenic spots). Don&rsquo;t dream of walking the whole way, it&rsquo;s too far.
The first stop of the bus was Golden Field, which was a sea of ​​flowers. It was mainly for viewing flowers, which was not very interesting. The second stop was the Elaeagnus Elaeagnus Forest Scenic Area, where you could see Elaeagnus Elaeagnus trees. The third stop was the Wild Populus euphratica Forest, which also had Populus euphratica trees, but it was not as concentrated and beautiful as the core scenic area behind. The fourth stop was the Beacon Tower, where you could get off the bus and overlook the Populus euphratica forest. From the Beacon Tower to the Populus euphratica forest-Jinbo Lake core tourist area, you can continue to take the bus or walk from the Beacon Tower through the wooden plank road, which is 1.5 kilometers and 15 minutes (the scenery on the road is very good). After playing, take the bus from Jinbo Lake back to the gate of the scenic area.
I got off at the third stop, the Wild Populus euphratica Forest, and walked all the way to the Scent Pavilion in the depths (a rest pavilion that can also overlook the Wild Populus euphratica forest). From the Scent Pavilion, I walked all the way to the bus stop of the Elaeagnus Elaeagnus Forest Scenic Area. It turned out that the wooden plank roads were connected between the first three viewing points. But to be honest, the scenery was very average. It is recommended to take a car directly to the beacon tower, and then walk to Jinbo Lake after taking pictures. First pass by Jinta Lake, which is divided into pieces, but it is very beautiful and suitable for taking pictures. People are also scattered; Jinbo Lake is a large lake, suitable for viewing from a distance.

The Jinta Desert Poplar Forest was not our planned destination, but our chance encounter brought us an unexpected surprise. Although it is just an artificial forest, the yellow poplar trees in the golden autumn, set against the blue sky and lake, are as bright and brilliant as the sun in the barren desert, which is amazing enough!!!
