Heyang Ancient Residence Scenic Area is located in Xinjian Town, Jinyun County, Lishui City, Zhejiang Province. It is a thousand-year-old village where people live together with clan blood as the bond. It is known as the "living fossil of Jiangnan ancient village".
Heyang Ancient Residence was built in 932 AD at the end of the Five Dynasties, and has a history of more than a thousand years. Zhu Qingyuan brothers moved here to avoid war. Because their ancestral home is Xinyang, Henan, they named it "Heyang".
- Cultural inheritance: Heyang Village has passed down farming and reading from generation to generation, and has produced many talents in successive generations. Eight Jinshi were born in the Song and Yuan Dynasties, forming the "Yiyang Poetry School" with a profound cultural heritage.
Most of the existing buildings were built in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, including ten clan manor-style ancient residential buildings, fifteen ancient ancestral halls, and hundreds of old houses with a total of more than 1,500 rooms. The architectural style is characterized by wind and fire glaciers, horse head walls, brick carvings and wood carvings, quadrangle courtyards, large patios, brick and wood structures, and double roofs, which are unique.
Main attractions:
Bashimen Gate: It is one of the landmark buildings of Heyang ancient residences. In front of the gate is a stone "Xihan" bestowed by Emperor Zhu Yuanzhang of the Ming Dynasty, which means "It is rare for Heyang to have eight Jinshi scholars".
Fuchang Temple: An ancient temple in the Song Dynasty that combines three religions, witnessing the historical and cultural heritage of Heyang.
Ancient streets and alleys: The road layout of one street and five alleys maintains the design characteristics of the Yuan Dynasty. The streets and alleys are simple and quiet, and the bluestone slabs are lined with buildings from the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
Wenhan Gongci: Now it is a Heyang Folk Customs Exhibition Hall, an important place to understand the history and culture of Heyang.
Heyang Paper-cutting Museum and Hand-woven Museum: It displays local traditional folk art, and tourists can experience paper-cutting and other intangible cultural heritage projects.
Ticket price: Adult ticket 40 yuan, preferential ticket (children/students/elderly) 20 yuan, double ticket 68.8 yuan. Children under 1.2 meters and elderly people over 70 years old are free.
Opening hours: 08:00-17:00 all year round.
Walking into the ancient dwellings in Heyang, it seems as if you have traveled through time and space and arrived in the south of the Yangtze River a thousand years ago. This place was built in the late Five Dynasties and is a veritable thousand-year-old ancient village.
When you step into the ancient village, the first thing that catches your eye is the towering horse head wall, black tiles and white walls, flying eaves and corners, which are extraordinary. Strolling in the cobblestone alleys, every stone under your feet is engraved with traces of history. The architectural style of the ancient dwellings is unique, and the uniform gray tone appears to be implicit and euphemistic.
Xuzhu Gongci is one of the landmark buildings of the ancient village. It is large in scale and exquisite in craftsmanship. The architectural features such as horse head wall, wind and fire wall, and screen wall fully show the Hui style. The interior of the ancestral hall is carved with beams and painted buildings, and the wood carvings are exquisite and breathtaking.
In addition to architecture, there is also a profound cultural heritage here. Heyang Village has been passed down from generation to generation with farming and reading. Talents have emerged in successive generations. Eight Jinshi were born in the Song and Yuan dynasties, forming the "Yiyang Poetry School". The "Eight Scholars Gate" was built to commemorate them. Here, you can also see traditional "one-man show" performances. This unique folk art has been listed in the Zhejiang Province Intangible Cultural Heritage List.
Heyang Ancient Residences has no noisy commercial atmosphere, but only the quiet years and the simple charm. Here, you can slow down, feel the precipitation of history, and experience the tranquility and simplicity of the Jiangnan ancient village.

The main attractions include Diexiang Rock, Foxing Rock, cliff plank road, 360-degree glass sightseeing platform and glass cable bridge.

It's worth a visit. The scenery is beautiful. It's just a bit tiring to climb the mountain. The glass plank road is very thrilling. I gritted my teeth and walked through it bravely. I didn't go back the whole way and kept going forward.

Today I took my two kids to the Parrot Theme Park in Zhejiang Jinyun Qianying Birdhouse. This trip was so amazing that I must recommend it to all the parents!
It is much more convenient to drive there, and the scenery along the way is also super beautiful. When I arrived at the park, I was attracted by the dreamy pink walls as soon as I entered the door, as if I had walked into a fairy tale world. The park staff was very enthusiastic and gave children stickers when they entered the park. My daughters were instantly very happy.
The parrot maze was our first stop. The parrots of various colors and shapes opened the children's eyes. Some of them were combing their feathers, some were playing, and some were "talking" with their voices. My 8-year-old daughter curiously came to the glass window, carefully observed the introduction board of each parrot, and asked me various interesting questions from time to time; my 3-year-old daughter was so excited that she danced and kept shouting "The birds are so beautiful."
The most surprising thing was the bird house. We spent 15 yuan to buy some feed. As soon as we entered, flocks of parrots flew over and landed on the children's hands and shoulders. My little daughter was a little scared at first and held my hand tightly. After a while, she was infected by the cute appearance of the parrots. She carefully stretched out her fingers to feed them, with an innocent smile on her face. My eldest daughter was even more bold. She had a lot of fun playing with the parrots and chatted with a talking parrot, making the surrounding tourists laugh.
The performances in the park are also not to be missed. In the parrot show, the little guys all have special skills, such as shooting, riding, and identifying colors, which made the children stare at them. My little daughter was so excited that she stood up from her seat and kept clapping. During the bubble show, colorful bubbles flew all over the sky, and the two children shuttled and played in the bubbles, as if they were in a dreamy bubble kingdom.
At noon, I had a parrot burger in the park restaurant. The shape was super cute and the taste was good. There was also a mini version suitable for children, with full details.
When we were tired, we went to rest on the lawn. Next to it was the open-air movie area. Although there was no screening during the day, the children were already looking forward to experiencing it next time at night. There was also a sky trampoline. My eldest daughter was jumping happily, releasing her full energy; my youngest daughter also had a lot of fun with me.
The whole park is like a huge natural classroom. Not only did the children get close to the cute parrots, but they also learned about birds during the play and cultivated their love for nature. The staff will also patiently answer the children's questions, which is really great!
This trip to the Thousand Parrot Aviary left the children with beautiful memories and also gave me a lot of parent-child time. I strongly recommend that you bring your children here to feel this unique happiness and warmth!
Located in Lishui Jinyun Thousand Parrots Birdhouse, the park has professional parrot lectures, cute parrot performances, as well as handicrafts and postcard painting suitable for children. It is very suitable for children to come here to play for a day.
