The scenic area is truly vast. If the weather is good, taking your time exploring it, or staying there for a relaxing vacation, might be fine. However, if you're caught in the scorching sun, during the summer months, or if you're planning on visiting multiple attractions, the experience won't be fully realized. Overall, the lake and mountain scenery isn't stunning, and the man-made attractions (like the Ninggu Pagoda) are rather crude. The entrance fee isn't worth the money, and the boat ride is also expensive. While the lake cruise lasts for over an hour and a half, it's completely unremarkable, and the ride back down is boring.
