Entering the Fragrant Concubine Garden, the park is quite large. I only gained a slight understanding of that period of history. The Islamic architectural style is indeed distinctive. The most interesting part was the two dance performances; the dancers were passionate and energetic, although the ticket price was a bit expensive!
Although Xiangfei did not rest here, Xiangfei Garden is still worth a visit to learn about different cultures and architectural styles, as well as to see two cute ostriches and several leisurely camels.

Kashgar Old City preserves historical buildings. Rainbow Lane, Oil Painting Street, and Cloth Bag Street are all unique. The small streets and alleys each have their own characteristics, making people feel relaxed and happy. The night view is even more beautiful.
The Old City of Kashgar is well-preserved and expansive, with its east and west districts separated by a municipal road. The old city boasts numerous attractions and photo spots, including the mosque, Khan Bazaar, and the old houses of Mamtim. There are daily opening ceremonies, along with float parades and other performances. Follow the official account for more information. Khan Bazaar boasts a diverse selection of delicious food, and the West District, nestled alongside residential areas, offers a rich selection of local delicacies. The scenic area is well-maintained and maintained.

The Khunjerab Pass is the world's highest cross-border border crossing, located in Tashkurgan County on the Pamir Plateau at an altitude of 5,100 meters. It faces Pakistan and is connected to Pakistan via the Karakoram Highway. Walking quickly here makes it difficult to breathe, yet our soldiers have steadfastly guarded this high-altitude, thin-air border crossing in western China for many years. They are truly admirable and worthy of our respect. We salute them!
Located in Tashkurgan Tajik Autonomous County, Kashgar Prefecture, Xinjiang, Khunjerab is a place of unique charm and significance! - Rich History and Culture: As a key node on the ancient Silk Road, Khunjerab has witnessed a prosperous history, attracting international trade and cultural exchange, and possesses a profound historical and cultural heritage. - Strategic Position: As the only land crossing between China and Pakistan and one of the highest land crossings in the world, Khunjerab serves as a vital channel for friendly exchanges between the two countries and holds significant geopolitical significance. - Magnificent Natural Scenery: Boasting a picturesque river valley where winding rivers meet towering mountains, distinctive red canyons, and clear lakes, it is a paradise for outdoor activities, where visitors can hike, camp, and admire the sunrise and stargazing. - Unique Culture and Customs: The Tajik people living in the surrounding area are known as the "Heavenly People." Their traditional clothing, etiquette, and cuisine reflect the simple, kind, and friendly character of their people. Their folk sports, such as yak-grabbing sheep, are also unique. Patriotic education is of great significance: Standing at the Khunjerab Pass National Gate and watching the five-star red flag flutter in the wind, one can truly feel a strong sense of patriotism and deeply appreciate the unwavering perseverance of the border guards and Tajik border patrol officers despite the lack of oxygen. Notes: 1. Bring your border pass. 2. The Chinese boundary marker and the Khunjerab Pass 5,100-meter monument are checkpoints where you'll need to queue. Many people take photos for a long time, so if you get off the bus and see few people, hurry to line up first and then take your time to explore. 3. The national gate is at a high altitude. Don't rush or run after getting off the bus, as this can easily drop your blood oxygen level below 80. It's best to bring an oxygen tank. There's an oxygen room next to the national gate for 30 yuan per person, which is worth visiting if you're experiencing altitude sickness. 4. It's cold while waiting for the shuttle bus, but it's hotter once you board. Therefore, it's recommended to wear a thick waterproof down jacket on the outside, which is easy to unzip when you board. 5. No drones allowed! Sensitive border area! 6⃣ Do not take photos of soldiers on duty! Do not point fingers! 7⃣ Do not communicate with the Pakistanis across the street!

It is worth a visit. The park is very large and many buildings are rebuilt. You can go up to the Baoyue Tower to overlook the park. There is no need to visit the exhibition hall. But the royal tombs and several mosques in the back are worth a visit.
The attractions include the Amanisha Khan Mausoleum and the Yarkand Khan Mausoleum, which have many sarcophagi and can be visited in 15 minutes. Opposite is the Intangible Cultural Heritage Expo Park, which is the Yarkand Kingdom Palace.

The river valley is lush and green, like an oasis, while the mountains on either side are desolate and lonely, their peaks dotted with glaciers. These conflicting tones create the unique beauty of the Pamirs, protected by generations of Tajik people! Then there are the stories of Stone City and the China-Pakistan friendship told at the Tieba Night Market!
This scenic area is actually the Stone City Ruins and Golden Grass Beach. Now integrated, you need to purchase tickets at the visitor center and take a shuttle bus; your own car cannot enter. Park your car at the foot of the Stone City and visit the museum. Then, exit to the castle ruins, then explore the Golden Grass Beach. Finally, take the shuttle back from the exit. The scenery is quite nice.

This was my first time seeing a poplar forest, and it was truly beautiful. I was lucky to be in southern Xinjiang in October, which was a good time to visit. I met some reliable travel companions, and we decided to come together. If you have travel buddies, it's really convenient to carpool from Shache.
We visited on October 27, 2005, and the leaves of the poplar trees had already turned yellow. The scenic area is very large. We took the scenic shuttle bus for 20 yuan, which stopped at 5 stations in total. We went to stations 1, 3, and 4. If time permits, we can spend a day exploring.

The giant dragon of the Pamir Plateau, the bloodline of the Kunlun Mountains. The 36-kilometer road hides 608 bends, with a turn every 50 meters. The black asphalt road, like a black dragon, entwined with the ochre-yellow mountain ridges, forms a breathtaking painting with the snow-capped mountains.
Panlong Ancient Road is a road completed in Xinjiang in 2019. After opening, it immediately attracted widespread attention. It is connected to the 314 National Road, and there are more than 600 S-curves in a total length of about 75 kilometers, and the altitude has risen from 3,000 meters to 4,216 meters. It is a long-standing transportation line, an important transportation hub connecting ancient Central Asia and China. The magic, wonder, mystery, spectacular and exciting 600 S-bends of this road are more embodiment of the wisdom and hard work of designers and pavers.

A 10-minute stroll from the hotel is Kashgar's famous Gaotai Folk Houses. Kashgar Old Town is also very close, making it a great combination for a day trip. This residential complex is said to date back to the Kashgar Khanate. Legend has it that Ban Chao and Geng Gong of the Eastern Han Dynasty once lived here. Most of the existing buildings were built over 600 years ago. Due to their clay structures, they lack safety and stability. Beginning in 2009, a residential reinforcement and renovation project was launched, investing 839 million yuan to renovate 9,722 traditional Uyghur dwellings using carbon fiber reinforcement and steel support. In 2014, 150 million yuan was invested to improve the landscape. In 2021, an intangible cultural heritage preservation project was launched, implementing a "one-house, one-design" approach. The complex is scheduled to reopen in 2023 after renovations, with free admission. Currently, the complex is primarily home to artisan shops, with an area preserved in its original state for visitors to explore. A full tour takes about an hour and a half.
@Southern Xinjiang, Kashgar, Gaotai Folk Houses With a history of 600 years, this is a major attraction in Kashgar showcasing ancient Uyghur residential architecture and folk customs. The houses are built of mud and poplar wood, and while they may appear shabby, they are actually hundreds of years old. The poplar trees are beautiful, especially the panoramic view from the beacon tower – it's truly breathtaking. The area also boasts historical and cultural significance, having been an important stop on the ancient Silk Road. Overall, it's well worth a visit and offers excellent value for money.
It happened to be the Populus euphratica Festival in the Red Sea Scenic Area. The 17-kilometer self-driving ticket outside was waived, and we only needed to buy the train ticket to the core scenic area, which felt very cost-effective. We arrived early and took the first train at 9:30. After entering, we enjoyed the freedom to take photos.

After leaving Panlong Ancient Road, we headed back to Kashgar in the afternoon. We visited several scenic spots along the Wuhong Line and National Highway 314, including: Bandir Blue Lake, known as the "blue eyes" of the Pamir Plateau, Taheman Wetland (Figures 6 and 7), and the Red Mountain Canyon of Aoyitak Glacier Park.
Bandir Blue Lake is the "sapphire" of the Pamir Plateau. The lake is as deep as a mirror, and the reflection of the snow-capped mountains and the gray-white rock walls are cold and mysterious. The Internet-famous bridge spans the lake, making it a popular aerial photography destination. Location: Bandir Township, Taxkorgan County, Kashgar, Xinjiang, deep in the Pamir Plateau, 3,600 meters above sea level, embedded in the folds of the Kunlun Mountains. Features: Glacial meltwater is rich in minerals, and the color changes with the light and shadow of the seasons; the primitive ecology is quiet, and the snow-capped mountains, blue lakes and wilderness form a cold beauty; a niche secret place, free to visit, a "blue dream" that must be punched in when driving in southern Xinjiang
