The entire Nachi Mountain in Kumano is a scenic spot, and there are many places to visit. Kumano Nachi Taisha is one of them. There are also Seigantoji Temple and Hitaki Shrine next to it. Of course, these are strictly speaking also Kumano Nachi Taisha, mainly because the temple and shrine were separated later. But because the scenic spots are all on the mountain, climbing stairs is inevitable, which is a bit hard.
Nachi Taisha is most famous for the Nachi Falls next to it, but you can basically not see the waterfall in Nachi Taisha. As the highest place on the mountain, the scenery seen from the mountain is still very beautiful. In addition, the lottery bucket here is quite unique and very large. It is called Benkei's lottery bucket, which is so large that it is not easy for an adult to shake it. I drew a Nakayoshi lottery bucket as a souvenir.
In general, the most recommended of the three Kumano shrines is Nachi Taisha, because there are many tourists and the supporting facilities are the best, which is highly recommended.
