After visiting the Forbidden City in Beijing, I went to Shenyang to see the Forbidden City. It is not as large as the Forbidden City in Beijing, but it is very distinctive. The architecture has a strong ethnic flavor. The tiles are yellow and green, and it has the flavor of the prairie. The characteristics of the Forbidden City in Shenyang are that the front court is low and the back palace is high. The Phoenix Tower and the Ten Kings Court are very distinctive.
A must-see attraction in Shenyang. The Shenyang Palace Museum, formerly known as the "Three Eastern Provinces Museum," is located within the Shenyang Palace complex. Also known as the Shengjing Imperial Palace, the Shenyang Palace was also known during the Qing Dynasty as the Shengjing Palace, the Auxiliary Capital Palace, the Liudu Palace, or the Fengtian Palace. Construction began in 1625 during the reign of Nurhaci and was completed in 1636 during the reign of Huang Taiji. Later renovations and additions during the reigns of Emperors Kangxi and Qianlong resulted in its current complex, comprising over 100 palaces, pavilions, and halls, encompassing over 500 rooms and covering an area of 60,000 square meters. This was the first majestic imperial palace complex of the Qing Dynasty, imbued with a rich and varied Manchu style and Northeastern Chinese characteristics.

During the summer vacation, there were a lot of tourists in Dashuai Mansion. I did my homework in advance and stayed in a hotel near Dashuai Mansion. I lined up before the door opened in the morning and went straight to Daqinglou as soon as it opened. At this time, there were only a few tourists in Daqinglou except for the staff. When we came out of the visit, Daqinglou was already crowded. We went to sit and rest next to the rockery pond. The scenery was still very good.
A very good homestay, the housekeeper service is also very good, clean and sanitary, the environment is very good, the children like it very much, and the stay is also very comfortable. It is a very warm homestay. I personally like this kind of atmosphere. It's great.

A must-visit place for tourists in Dalian, with complete facilities and many places to play. The fun cannot be compared with Happy Valley and Disney, and the venues are not too large. After all, you are going to see the sea, so you can't be too picky.
It's very big inside, and each museum and each project have separate fees. I don't understand why they sell tickets. Be careful of black tour guides and scammers at the door. Dalian experience, buy tickets online or at the scenic spot ticket office. Don't pay attention to anyone who talks to you, it's all a trick.

The Light of Life is a favorite for children. It tells the story of the origin of life, from blue algae to the birth of various organisms. It is very meaningful. After that, there are various activities for children to play.
Shenyang Fantawild is a true paradise! The thrilling rides are incredibly exciting, like the Fire Meteor roller coaster, which screams at lightning speed, and the warm and romantic carousel, which feels like being transported to a fairytale. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the experience is fantastic. I highly recommend it!

The waters of Bangchuidao are incredibly clear and clean, arguably the cleanest in Dalian. I'd read reviews saying the waters at Jinshitan, farther from the city, were cleaner, so I took a taxi for over an hour to get there. The waters there were similar to those in Beidaihe and Nandaihe—all sandy and muddy. The Bangchuidao coastline is artificially maintained, with many pebbles, and the sand must have been buried underneath, so the waters are very clean. However, the area is small, and the sightseeing buses enter and exit through the south gate. My speedboat driver had previously told me that the north gate would lead to Haizhiyun. I did some research and found the walk to the north gate is nearly 2 kilometers. Then, to Haizhiyun, it's definitely for those with a good stamina.
The total visit lasted about three hours (including finding the way, taking photos, and walking out of the park). The water was crystal clear!! There were so many small animals!! Hai Zhi Yun really took my feet off. The hike was hot and tiring. While the water was clear, the beach was small and crowded. I highly recommend Bangchuidao over Hai Zhi Yun! It's the most beautiful beach I've ever seen in Dalian. You can grab a mat and lie on the beach, enjoying the breeze, the sound of the waves and the chirping of seagulls, and the sun. It's so relaxing.

The Liaoning Provincial Museum has a large collection of exhibits, and the explanations are very detailed and informative. I learned a lot from the two and a half hour explanation. I thank the tour guide for his wonderful explanation.
I finally had the chance to visit the Liaoning Provincial Museum, a provincial museum jointly built by the national and local governments. It had been on my wish list for a long time, but I finally managed to pull it off today. Since its relocation to the new building in Hunnan District, Shenyang, the exhibition area has been greatly expanded, allowing more of the museum's collection to be seen, which is definitely a major benefit. I confirmed before the trip that the museum's true treasures were all at home, not traveling or on loan. However, the finest paintings and calligraphy were digitized and displayed in VR, so I couldn't see them in person. The Liaoning Provincial Museum is absolutely not to be missed.

Thanks to the rafting guy who pulled us out and helped me find my glasses. 🙏🙏🙏. The rafting waves were so thrilling. So much fun. The park is so huge. One day is definitely not enough to explore. The staff are so friendly and attentive. The service is great! No words can express my excitement at this moment❤
My kids loved it here, playing from 10 AM to 6 PM and still wanting more. It wasn't crowded the day we went, so it was a great experience. You can order lunch a la carte, and the spicy hot pot and beef noodles were both delicious. The only problem was that towels were only available at the entrance, so you had to walk quite a distance to get a new one...

The water cave is ok, you don't need to rent a coat, just wear long pants and long sleeves with a disposable raincoat. (Mid-August) The dry cave is boring, the Taizi River cruise takes 20 minutes, and you can only stay in the cabin.
This five-star scenic spot truly lives up to its reputation. The boat ride gave me a truly unforgettable experience of nature's wonders. It's a gift from heaven to the locals. We visited the petrified wood and the museum, both of which were okay. I wouldn't recommend riding the petrified wood train, as it's not spacious enough. We went there because we had children with us.

I think it's definitely worth the trip. Thirteen years ago, my company organized a group trip to Discovery Kingdom, but I was pregnant at the time and missed out, which was quite a shame. Finally, today, our family of four was able to make the trip. We even bought children's tickets for 39 yuan. I used my teaching certificate to get a ticket for 9.1 yuan. My husband and eldest daughter bought teacher and family tickets for 130 yuan each. For a full day of fun, our family spent a total of 308 yuan. It was a fantastic deal. Yesterday, it was cloudy, so the park was incredibly quiet. The lines for popular rides were only 20 minutes. For rides like the roller coaster, the pendulum, and the long, spinning ride, there were no lines at all. My youngest daughter is 155cm tall, and she enjoyed all the rides. I've read reviews saying that many of the extra-cost rides were bad, but I didn't feel that way because we were overwhelmed by the free rides and didn't try any of the optional ones. If such a good deal is available in the future, we'll definitely go again. At the end of this winter break, we went to Universal Studios Beijing, and our family of four spent over 1,400 yuan on tickets. Discovery Kingdom was a much better value for money.
The night light parade is wonderful: The night light parade "Starry Sky Encounter" is held after nightfall. The colorful floats and high-profile performing teams, set against the backdrop of lights and music, create a full atmosphere and bring a visual feast to tourists.
