For my first meal in Lijiang Ancient Town, I came to the oldest local restaurant-No. 88 Snack Bar. It is located on Wuyi Street. The door is small, but I didn't expect that there is a different world inside. The space is so big. There is a two-story Naxi courtyard. It is very comfortable to eat next to the courtyard.
The old lady said that it was her own house and it has been open for 39 years. They started by selling chickpea jelly, snacks, etc., and later expanded the courtyard, and there are many local traditional Naxi food dishes.
The taste of this chickpea jelly is very suitable for summer. It is smooth, sour and spicy, and a cup of sour plum soup is especially refreshing and greasy.
Grandma is still live broadcasting, saying that the chickpea jelly is made by grandpa at four o'clock every day for five or six hours before it is ready and sent to the store. Great! Grandpa is also an inheritor of intangible cultural heritage.
You must order the patinated tofu, and the steamed chicken is also super delicious with morels.
