The queues at the scenic area entrance were too long and chaotic. Tickets were sold in time slots, but the queues were full of people from all time slots. Even with a 9:00 AM ticket, people couldn't get in by 9:30 AM. The service experience was poor; this service doesn't deserve a 5A rating. I only went there to climb the Red Cloud Golden Summit, and it was quite fun.
The scenery must be beautiful, otherwise there wouldn't be so many tourists. The only downside is that the cable car only goes halfway up the mountain. To see the more beautiful views, you need to climb for several hours, which is too tiring. It's not friendly to the elderly or people with mobility issues.

If you're driving, you can enter from the West Gate, take the tour bus to the East Gate, and finally take another bus back to the West Gate. Parking: Parking is available at the West Gate; there are plenty of parking spaces. For people from the plains, the mountains and waterfalls are absolutely breathtaking. My favorite part was the water forest; walking along the stone paths through the forest with the rushing stream beside you was very enjoyable.
The distances marked on the signs in the scenic area should be doubled. For the first attraction, Wolongtan, there's a bus stop, but don't get off there! Walk a long way to the next stop before you reach the attraction! The scenic area is very beautiful. On the way back, take the scenic shuttle bus around the back of the mountain to return to the starting point!

It's worth seeing. I recommend doing your research beforehand to avoid backtracking. Overall, it's a very good experience. Just be aware that the sightseeing bus stops running after 10:30 am.
The scenery is beautiful, but everything else is unworthy of the ticket price. The sightseeing bus is also inexplicable; I don't know what its purpose is. It's only the guesthouse's service and environment that salvage the situation.

The night view was enchanting, and experiencing the two types of locks was fantastic. I arrived early, but the ticket inspector helped me change my ticket to an earlier departure if there were available seats. The fourteen bridges are all unique in design; pay special attention to the paintings and reliefs beneath the bridge surfaces.
What an amazing one-hour experience! Dylan assisted us all the way and check in on us every step of the way. He was very prompt, friendly and helpful! The breathtaking scenery was worth every minute and cent spent!

The user experience is fantastic! Visiting Elephant Trunk Hill in Guilin is breathtaking. The hill connects seamlessly with the water, resembling an elephant drinking water—it's incredibly lifelike. The surrounding facilities are excellent, and transportation is convenient, making it suitable for family trips. Overall, Elephant Trunk Hill is a must-see in Guilin and highly recommended!
Memories of Elephant Trunk Hill Elephant Trunk Hill is the emblem of Guilin and the prototype for the scenery described in the elementary school textbook "Guilin Landscape." It's amazing that this must-visit place is free! Slow down, let your gaze linger, and carefully appreciate every scene. 1. How to capture the iconic image of Guilin? In Elephant Trunk Hill Park, walk along the riverside path to the Water Moon Cave to capture the classic image of the "elephant trunk" reflected in the water. Visit Love Island or take a bamboo raft to the water directly in front of Elephant Trunk Hill for a close-up shot of the "elephant drinking water" scene. From a compositional perspective, a person standing in front of the elephant trunk can be framed alongside the core landscape of "elephant trunk drinking water," highlighting the iconic shape of Elephant Trunk Hill while blending the person with the natural scenery, resulting in a layered and highly recognizable image. Placing a person inside the Water Moon Cave would make them appear "imprisoned." 2. What is the Double Moon Spectacle on the Li River? Arriving at Love Island in Elephant Trunk Hill Park, you can see three hills, two caves, and a river. The three hills are Elephant Trunk Hill, Pierced Hill, and Pagoda Hill. The two caves are the Water Moon Cave on Elephant Trunk Hill and the Moon Rock Cave on Pierced Hill, facing each other across the Li River. The Water Moon Cave resembles a bright moon floating on the water, while the Moon Rock Cave resembles a bright moon hanging high in the sky, forming the Double Moon landscape of the Li River. 3. Can the Water Moon spectacle of Elephant Trunk Hill be seen during the day? The Water Moon Cave is shaped like a full moon, half embedded in the mountain and half submerged in the water. From a distance, the outline of the cave entrance on the water's surface resembles a "bright moon" floating on the water, naturally fitting the imagery of "a bright moon floating on the water." When light passes through the Water Moon Cave, the light forms spots on the water's surface, which can be poetically interpreted as "a bright moon beneath the water." When a gentle breeze ripples across the water, dappled sunlight dances on the surface, perfectly capturing the ethereal beauty of "the moon floating on the water." This, combined with the reflection of the Water Moon Cave in the water, creates a dual spectacle of "a moon beneath the water, and a moon floating on the surface." 4. What is the spectacular "Three Moons Competing for Glory" scene? On a full moon night, without artificial light, from beside the Water Moon Cave or the viewing platform in Zizhou Park, one can see three moons: the moon in the sky, its reflection in the water, and the Water Moon Cave itself combined with its reflection to form a "full moon." This creates the spectacular "Three Moons Competing for Glory" scene, where "a moon beneath the water, a moon floating on the surface, the water flows but the moon doesn't go, the moon goes but the water still flows." When warm yellow light illuminates the Water Moon Cave, the cave itself appears as a moon floating on the water, and its reflection also resembles a moon in the water. The moon in the sky, the "moon in the cave," and the "moon in the water" together constitute the spectacular "Three Moons Competing for Glory" scene. Warm yellow lights outlined the Water Moon Cave and illuminated parts of Elephant Trunk Hill, making its silhouette resemble a giant elephant walking on water—a dreamlike scene. 5. What is the scenery of "Pagoda Mountain's Clear Reflection"? Climbing to the top of Elephant Trunk Hill, one can see that Pagoda Mountain resembles a tortoise carrying an ancient pagoda across the river. The pagoda, called Foshou Pagoda, was awarded the Guinness World Record in 2007 by the Shanghai Great World Headquarters for "Ancient Pagoda Located on the Smallest Stone Mountain Peak." Under the blue sky and white clouds, the mountain, the solitary pagoda, and its reflection in the river create an ink painting-like scene, hence the name "Pagoda Mountain's Clear Reflection." 6. Why was Puxian Pagoda built on Elephant Trunk Hill?

Duxiu Peak and Jingjiang Prince City Scenic Area, located in Xiufeng District, Guilin City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is a scenic tourist area rich in history and culture, covering an area of 283 acres. Duxiu Peak, along with Diecai and Fubo Peaks, forms a triad of mountains, one of the main peaks of Guilin, known as the "Pillar of the Southern Sky" and historically called the First Peak of Guilin. Rising abruptly, its shape is like a knife-cut hex, surrounded by other mountains, standing proudly like an emperor. Climbing 306 steps leads to the summit, the best viewing platform for panoramic views of Guilin. Located 1000 meters north of Diecai and 500 meters east of Fubo, it has an altitude of 216 meters, rising 66 meters above the plain, measuring 120 meters long and 50 meters wide, covering an area of 0.61 hectares. Surrounded by mountains in the distance, it resembles a courtier paying homage, creating a regal atmosphere of "a solitary peak not serving the other mountains," laughing at the surrounding peaks, and is known as the "Head of the Mountains, King of the Mountains." The cliffside inscriptions are scattered like stars, displaying a rich tapestry of history. Among them is the famous line, "Guilin's scenery is the best under heaven," which originated here. The intangible cultural heritage of the Jingjiang Prince's Palace is "Prince's Palace Rubbings," pioneered by Zhu Zuojing, the fifth Prince of Jingjiang. Using color rubbing techniques, it stems from the study of the palace's stone inscriptions and boasts a 600-year history. The most representative rubbing, featuring the Five Blessings, was featured on CCTV's Spring Festival Gala.
This is a highly recommended attraction. It boasts pristine, ancient scenery. A guide usually leads a group of about 10 people, providing explanations and commentary throughout the visit. It's excellent, allowing you to experience scenery and culture you wouldn't normally see. There are many authentic cultural relics reflecting Guilin's past and present. I suggest visiting if you have the time, but be prepared for the climb to the top for panoramic views of Guilin.

Visiting the Longji Rice Terraces in early November, it was drizzling. The rice was ripe, and the layers of golden rice fields, set against the backdrop of the misty rain, had a poetic beauty that made one marvel at the diligence and resilience of our Chinese ancestors.
1. Autumn deepens, the sunlight bathes the world in a warm glow, even worries seem gentler. 2. Autumn has arrived, and the air is filled with the aroma of roasted chestnuts and sweet potatoes, as warm as a familiar embrace. 3. Leaves fall gently in the autumn breeze, like letters from the past, telling tales of autumn's tenderness and tranquility. 1. Autumn is a poem, each fallen leaf a rhyming note, writing the story of time. 2. Autumn is nature's ink painting, its rich colors blending to create a serene and profound poetic atmosphere. 3. I wander through autumn's tapestry, encountering every golden hue, collecting the romance that belongs to autumn.

Absolutely wonderful. Well worth the price for nature lovers. Duration was 4 hours. It was nice to take the time to slow down. Special thanks to Dylan for the help and infos provided!!
Memories of the Li River Scenery This time, I chose the Ctrip-themed cruise ship "Y0Y0 Happy Cruise," departing from Zhujiang Wharf in Guilin and sailing to Longtoushan Wharf in Yangshuo, a journey of about 4 hours. Following the guide, I enjoyed the scenery along the way; the landscape before my eyes was like a series of vivid landscape paintings. I finally experienced firsthand the charm of "Guilin's scenery is the best under heaven," and understood many famous scenic spots. 1. What's hidden in Yangdi's scenery? Yangdi is the first scenic area after the Li River flows into Yangshuo. Here, both banks are lined with uniquely shaped peaks, and the bamboo along the river is lush and verdant. Sailing downstream, lifelike mountain landscapes such as Embroidered Mountain Walls, Carp Hanging on the Walls, and Children Worshipping Guanyin come into view, as if stepping into a flowing landscape painting. Occasionally, wisps of smoke rise from the mountain villages, cormorants busily fish in the water, splashing water everywhere, and cattle and sheep bleat and moo on the mountains, creating a vibrant and wild atmosphere. 2. Can you really see nine horses at Nine Horses Painting Mountain? That magnificent cliff, hundreds of meters high, is the famous Nine Horses Painting Mountain. The "nine horses" on the cliff are not real horses, but rather natural patterns and colors formed by the rocks. How many horses you can see depends entirely on the time of day, angle, weather, and whether you have a detailed guide. Most people can usually only see 3 to 5. A folk song goes: "Horse watcher, horse watcher, how many pairs of horses are there? Seeing seven makes you a runner-up, seeing nine makes you a champion." 3. Is comparing a 20 RMB note to the mountain peak enough? The image on the back of the 20 RMB note is a photograph of the Yellow Cloth Reflection in the Li River. Simply comparing the shapes of the mountain peaks isn't enough; the key is to look at the two core elements: the "yellow cloth" and the "reflection." There are two interpretations of the "yellow cloth": one is that the yellow sand deposited at the bottom of the river resembles a large yellow cloth; the other is that there's a flat, large yellow stone slab at the bottom of the river, like a yellow cloth spread out. The "reflection" is most beautiful when the river is wide and the water is clear and calm. Peaks like Yuanbao Peak and Chaoban Mountain, along with the verdant bamboo along the banks, will be clearly reflected in the water, creating a harmonious blend of mountains and water that makes it difficult to distinguish reality from illusion. 4. Just how amazing is the Li River scenery? The Li River is a typical karst landscape, and its scenic characteristics can be summarized in four words: clear, unique, ingenious, and ever-changing. "Clear" refers to the Li River's year-round crystal-clear waters, allowing one to see directly to the bottom; "Unique" describes the strangely shaped yet beautiful peaks; "Exquisite" signifies the delicate and dynamic scenery, with rocks displaying remarkable shapes, textures, and colors, creating exquisitely crafted scenes as if sculpted by hand; "Changing" means the scenery varies with the seasons, day and night, and weather, offering a fresh experience with each visit. Let's capture the beauty of the Li River in our memories, turn away gently, and say goodbye, hoping only for a future reunion.

I have visited so many ancient towns all over the country, and Qingyan Ancient Town is one of the most distinctive ones. It has scenery surrounded by mountains and rivers, and its towering ancient city walls are very dangerous. It has the charm of a frontier town.
It feels like all ancient towns are the same now, with no distinctive features. The shopping malls are rarely visited, but what makes it different from other ancient towns is that you can climb the city walls, which feels like the Great Wall. Food is very cheap, with sugarcane juice at the entrance only 7 yuan a cup, and the set meal at "South City Old Things" is 38 yuan, which is more than one person can finish!

After a morning stroll along Huaxi Golden Avenue, head to Huaxi Yelang Valley. This stone kingdom, created by artist Song Peilun over 20 years, blends the mysterious Yelang culture with natural wonders. The scenic area features over 200 stone totem poles incorporating elements of ancient Yelang totems and Nuo opera masks, their unique shapes creating a mysterious Yelang cultural atmosphere. The perfect combination of karst landforms and man-made art results in a pristine yet fantastical landscape, perfect for taking photos. Tickets are inexpensive at 20 yuan per person, and the visit takes approximately 1-2 hours. The road to the scenic area is blocked by vendors, making it easy to get lost; a security guard informed us that parking costs 10 yuan per vehicle. However, parking at the entrance is only 2 yuan per hour.
definitely worth it for its price, too much to see as well. and for photography lovers it is awesome. history, culture, the story of stone.
