The Jeronimos Monastery is a landmark building in Lisbon, known as the peak of Manuel architecture. The day before the big navigators were going to sea, they came to Jeronimos Monastery to receive prayers. Now it is Lisbon's most famous monument. The square next to it, the environment is very good, you can take a leisurely ride.
It is a very worthwhile place to visit in Lisbon. However, to visit the monastery, you need to be prepared to wait in line under the scorching sun. The official reminder was that it would take about 2 hours to queue, but it actually took about 50 minutes. If you want to visit the free church, you need to queue in another line. While queuing, I ordered the ticket on Ctrip, which was very convenient and the price was the same as the official website. Thank you Ctrip.

Berenta, a world heritage site, is a landmark of Lisbon, a witness to the history of Portuguese navigation. The former Berenta is where the great navigators set off. Berenta is next to the navigational monument, built to commemorate the 500th anniversary of the death of Prince Henry, the seafaring prince, like a ship with a huge sail.
The scenery outside is nice, but the queue is quite long. If you go there in the summer, you must be prepared to wear sunscreen. As a nearly 600-year-old monument, there are not many shocking places inside, but when you think about how the ancients could build such a building so many years ago, you still admire it. I recommend it.

castle with breathtaking views of Lisbon. My favorite site in all of Lisbon as it takes you to a high elevation point where you have the views. The castle also has lots of history.

Spending a few days in Lisbon was an incredible treat for the senses. The city is beautifully colorful, with painted streets, murals, artwork, and the iconic Portuguese tiles. Strolling leisurely down the streets, I found several street musicians playing Fado music. And of course, the food is amazing and affordable. Lisbon has some of the nicest and most social hostels I found in Europe, and I joined a free walking tour through the hostel to see the major sites and learn the local history. One of my absolute favorite cities in Europe!

The Discoverer's Monument, next to Berenta, is a landmark building built to commemorate the 500th anniversary of the death of Portuguese navigator Prince Enrique. Located on the banks of the Tejo River in the Beren district of Lisbon, it is shaped like a sailboat and symbolizes the glorious history of the great Portuguese maritime era. ‌ The square in front of the monument is laid with a giant navigation compass pattern, and the center is a world map marking the Portuguese navigation route.
The entrance ticket allows you to take the lift to the top floor. From there you still have to climb a few flights of stairs to reach the observation deck. The view is nice but it's not the only place in Lisbon where you can get nice views over the Tagus estuary. The museum at the basement is worth a visit if you're interested in how the landscape in Lisbon changed over the years.

The oldest Catholic church in Lisbon is located halfway up a hill in the old town of Alfama. Behind it is the site of a Roman theater, which is being excavated and repaired. It was well preserved even after the Lisbon earthquake! The stained glass in the church is beautiful!
Lisbon once experienced an unprecedented earthquake and subsequent fire, and today's cathedral was restored in 1930 (there is a set of light boxes on the south wall of the cathedral, which clearly introduces the restoration process of that year). It is worth mentioning that this cathedral also integrates various architectural styles: such as the fortress-like bell tower and the Gothic rose window, which makes you feel solemn and magnificent when you go deep into it.

First in Europe and second in the world, it is indeed true. There are various marine animals, a colorful environment, and many scientific education activities. Many parents bring their children to learn about marine life and get close to nature! A wonderful day!
The Lisbon Oceanarium is an underrated place. We chose the Lisbon Aquarium after we had experienced the basic projects in Lisbon. We thought it would be a boring experience, but after we came, we found it to be worth the money and it is worth a visit.

A very Portuguese performance. From the performance of traditional instruments to the singing of male and female singers, it was very exciting. Especially the interaction between the stage and the audience, it was very engaging. In addition, there are Chinese subtitles
The place is easy to find, near the Camões Square, and can be reached by tram 28. The sound of the Portuguese guitar is amazing, of course this is its home. The male performance that day felt better than the female performance.

The Santa Justa Elevator in Lisbon is a vertical elevator, 45 meters high, decorated in neo-Gothic style. Visitors can overlook the city streets from it, making it a tourist attraction. When we went there, it was under maintenance and not open, but the elevator itself is also a scenic spot. There are several other elevators in Lisbon.
Santa Justa Elevator is the best place to view the street view. It is the oldest giant elevator in Europe. Looking down at the old town from the Santa Justa Elevator is another feeling. This is a good place to enjoy the street view of Lisbon city.

Vasco da Gama Bridge 🆚 Sports Park (Vasco da Gama Bridge) One of the longest bridges in Europe, 17.2 kilometers long. The bridge is located in the parish of Moscavide, about 10 kilometers northeast of Lisbon, part of the city of Loures, close to the Tagus River. On both sides of the bridge is a quiet modern community with a slow-paced atmosphere. It is also popular among locals because of its proximity to Lisbon Airport and the modern National Park (Parque das Nações); especially the sports park under the bridge, which is close to the water and has a large green space. In the evening, sports enthusiasts run on the overhead walkway from time to time, and there are sports figures everywhere on the tennis courts, padle courts and football fields.
The Parque des Nations in Lisbon is located in the suburbs. It was the site of the World Expo in 1998. The flags of various countries flying high make people imagine the prosperity and bustle of the year. As a legacy of the World Expo, the Parque des Nations is now a vibrant multifunctional sightseeing and leisure space. The giant sculptures are suitable for taking photos. There are often performances, exhibitions and competitions in the Parque des Nations.
