I absolutely loved Chimelong Safari Park! It was a really hot day when I visited, but there were tons of fans and such inside, so it wasn't too hot! My only complaint was the mini-train – it was incredibly hot, packed with people, and in the sweltering heat, the "golden viewing lanes" were all private cars, with the train on the outer edge, so you could barely see anything. If you sat in the very outermost seat, you could see even less... Many cars on the private lanes stopped and wouldn't move when they saw interesting animals, causing a constant traffic jam. The train was basically just for viewing private cars, making it feel like a car show!

We entered the park at 11 am on Sunday and left at 6 pm. It was a very fulfilling day at the zoo, suitable for families, couples, and friends. There were many kinds of animals, and they were all in good condition, showing that they are usually well fed. The pandas and koalas are particularly worth seeing. I recommend taking the cable car to see the grassland animal area from above.
It was relaxing and fun, and the weather at the end of October was very pleasant. Best of all, all the restaurants offered free warm water, and the cable car ride was convenient – you didn't have to share with others; the staff would ask who was traveling with you, which was very thoughtful.

Every staff member at Chimelong is very friendly and helpful, answering all your questions. If you're planning a trip, be sure to do your research beforehand and plan your itinerary. If you're planning to see animal shows and rides, one day can be very rushed, so a well-planned schedule is essential. A friendly reminder: if you want to experience many attractions in one day, be prepared to eat quickly; it's best to bring your own food. There are many food options inside, but it's very rushed. Choose according to your needs. Chimelong is a great spot for photos and a paradise for children. Don't miss the final fireworks display; it's spectacular. The only downside is the crowds. I went on a Monday, and Chimelong doesn't seem to have peak or off-peak seasons; it's always packed.

This is a must do activity if you are in Guangzhou. The staffs know English and are very cordial. We liked the atmosphere up on the roof top but I think second floor viewing area is not bad as well if you are on a budget.
It's a fairly relaxing cruise, where drinks and snacks are provided ... You can go to level 3 deck to take photos but it will be crowded with people. If the cruise is crowded do be prepared to fight for your space to catch the scenery.
