This place is a must go. If you’re not visiting Hua Hua, enter the west gate, head downstairs to buy the shuttle bus ticket and you can hop on and hop off the stations. There are some food options but coffee is pretty expensive and not much choices

The tour guide was very professional and patient in explaining things on-site. We communicated in advance to confirm the reception location and time, and the on-site explanation service, which was originally scheduled for 2 hours, went far beyond what was expected. The elderly were very satisfied!
Highly recommend and thank you to Professor Zhou Huan for her three-hour insightful lecture. Our family of three learned a great deal. Professor Zhou Huan was very patient, providing a wealth of practical information. She is incredibly knowledgeable and has a deep understanding of Sanxingdui culture. My 7-year-old child listened attentively throughout the entire lecture thanks to Professor Zhou's meticulous explanations. I believe we will definitely come again in a few years when our child is older.

Ticket purchasing service is another highlight of Ctrip. Whether it's popular tourist attractions or niche cultural events, Ctrip offers a wide selection of tickets. Users can purchase tickets online in advance, avoiding the hassle of queuing on-site and saving valuable time. In addition, Ctrip frequently launches various promotional activities, allowing users to enjoy the service while also getting affordable prices.
The cultural atmosphere and architectural language complement each other perfectly, making it a classic attraction well worth a visit. Walking through the Du Fu Poetry Stele Corridor is like a long film reel slowly unfolding, with historical figures and scenes blending together before your eyes. You just want to stop and appreciate it slowly, understand the poet's feelings, and touch the steles of those calligraphers, feeling overjoyed.

I went here on the same day as Dujiangyan, and arrived early in the morning. There weren't many pandas, but it wasn't crowded either. The environment was very nice, although the coffee inside was just average. You have to bring your own coffee, but the coffee cups are still nice for taking photos.

Easily accessible by metro (10 minute walk from station) and not far from city centre. The museum has a vast collection of artefacts you can easily spend a whole day studying them in detail !
I was fortunate enough to visit Jinsha before it closed. It was wonderful. With Professor Zhou's explanation, stepping into Jinsha felt like traveling through time. The famous gold foil depicting the Sun Bird was as thin as a cicada's wing yet shone brilliantly. Looking at the jade artifacts, gold objects, and massive ebony pieces, I felt they weren't just silently displayed, but were quietly telling stories from three thousand years ago—about the ingenuity of artisans, the solemnity of rituals, and the lives of ordinary people. Professor Zhou's explanation was excellent; I highly recommend this immersive tour—it's very interesting.

Chengdu's Wenshufang, located at No. 66 Wenshuyuan Street in Qingyang District, is a national AAAA-level open-air historical and cultural district built around the ancient Wenshuyuan Temple. Admission is free and the area is open 24 hours a day, though it's recommended to plan a three- to four-hour visit. The district's architectural style is inspired by traditional western Sichuan courtyards, with blue tiles, white walls, and carved eaves. This creates a unique "courtyard-style commercial street" feel, earning it the nickname "Chengdu's Double Embroidery"—the sound of Buddhist chants echoes within the red walls, while the bustling market life unfolds beyond. Wenshufang's core identity can be summarized as "Zen culture combined with traditional Chengdu folk customs." Within the district, there's a temple every 100 steps and a pagoda every 1,000 steps. In addition to Wenshuyuan Temple (built in the Sui Dynasty and inscribed by Emperor Kangxi), the district also preserves the remains of the "Nine Palaces and Eighteen Temples," including the Five Mountains Palace, Lengjia Nunnery, and Aido Hall. This area boasts the most concentrated religious and cultural heritage in Chengdu's old city. Building on this foundation, the neighborhood has incorporated elements such as the "Empty Forest Zen Road" market for Zen-inspired goods, the "Manjusri Blessed Land" cluster of protected courtyards, the "Folk Old Street" offering intangible cultural heritage crafts, the "Chengdu Salon" teahouse featuring antiques, calligraphy, and paintings, as well as the "Old Chengdu Food Court" and "Tianzi Food Hall." This all-in-one experience combines incense worship, Hanfu travel photography, gaiwan tea, Sichuan Opera face-changing, and century-old snacks (such as dragon wontons, Zhong dumplings, and Lai glutinous rice balls). The atmosphere is enhanced by the lighting of lanterns at night. Wenshufang is a free historical district offering the most concentrated and convenient experience of old Chengdu: burning incense, enjoying vegetarian food, drinking tea, watching opera, strolling the ancient streets, enjoying snacks, shopping for cultural products, and photographing Hanfu costumes. For a quick experience of slow living and the essence of Zen, simply add this area to your half-day itinerary.
Enjoy an authentic Sichuan opera performance at the Liyuan Guildhall while sipping large bowls of tea. The show consists of nine performances, and the finale, the face-changing, was the most memorable. The 70-minute performance was packed with action and highly recommended.

The Chengdu Museum holds various exhibitions from time to time. It has a great location, right next to the subway exit. Regular exhibitions are free, but reservations are required. Some solo exhibitions require additional tickets.
A highly recommended museum to visit. As a national museum, it not only boasts a vast collection of artifacts but also offers unique services and a variety of charming cultural and creative products. Volunteer guide Ms. Yuan's explanations were particularly excellent and captivating!

The Chengdu Natural History Museum is an absolute treasure trove! The 24-meter-long Mamenchisaurus skeleton from Hechuan is breathtaking, its 80% fossil content showcasing its immense age. The three main exhibits each offer something to see: the metallic luster of the Longchang iron meteorite and the complete form of the Dazhu Chongqing fish fossil both inspire awe at the wonders of nature. The exhibition layout is clear, tracing the evolution of geology and the origins of life. Cutting-edge technologies like AR interactive exhibits and VR panda adventures make science education incredibly engaging. The butterfly wall is dazzling, the gem hall is shimmering, and the rare animal specimens are lifelike. Free stamp collection, convenient baggage storage facilities, a variety of nearby snacks, and direct subway access make it incredibly convenient. Whether for family study tours or solo exploration, visitors can immerse themselves in the history and vitality of Earth, leaving with a sense of awe and enrichment—definitely worth visiting again and again!
It's a pretty good museum. The facilities are modern, the service is good, and the exhibits are plentiful. I saw huge dinosaurs, and many other animals from the modern era. The biodiversity of Sichuan and Chongqing is truly impressive.

I chose this place between the Panda Garden and Panda Valley, mainly because it's close to my accommodation 😄. I was lucky; I saw many pandas active and eating. There are three main enclosures with both giant and red pandas.
We arrived at the panda park at 9 am. We saw the pandas leisurely strolling and eating bamboo. It was close enough to see them clearly. Having visited the panda breeding base in the city, this one felt much better! A complete loop takes only two hours on foot. Highly recommended!
