A huge thumbs up to our guide, Xiao Bing! Her explanations were professional and engaging throughout, explaining the historical background of the Longmen Grottoes and the stories behind the Buddha statues in a clear and easy-to-understand way. She also shared many details that you can't find in books. The guide was patient and responsible, managing the pace exceptionally well, leading us around crowds and finding the best viewing and photo spots, taking beautiful pictures for us. Following her explanations, we deeply felt the awe and profoundness of the grotto art. Professional and considerate, she was definitely a highlight of this trip!
Although the Longmen Grottoes are notorious for having nine out of ten caves destroyed, their sheer number means that many are still relatively well-preserved. If your itinerary allows, you can spend 4-5 hours leisurely exploring, fully appreciating the historical significance. Local prices are also relatively inexpensive. After visiting the grottoes, you can head to the university area to enjoy some delicious food.

There's only one path to Mount Hua, so I chose a one-day hike up north and a cable car down west, climbing the North Peak, Central Peak, East Peak, South Peak, and West Peak one by one, checking off classic and popular spots, and enjoying the magnificent natural and cultural landscapes. Checking the weather forecast, I was fortunate to have a sunny day to experience the autumn scenery of Mount Hua. The hike challenged my physical and endurance limits, and the cable car provided a thrilling and exhilarating experience, like standing on the edge of an abyss. The unique scenery of Mount Hua offered absolutely worth the price of admission. It was a very refreshing and completely satisfying trip.
I went in early November and was extremely satisfied. I climbed Mount Hua at night to watch the sunrise (North Peak, down from West Peak), and it was perfect. I visited all three peaks: East, West, South, North, and Central. The scenery was breathtaking. Highly recommended. I also tried the "Eagle Turns Over" and the "Skywalk."

This time, I happened to visit during the chrysanthemum exhibition. There were all kinds of chrysanthemums, each with its own unique shape and appearance, which I really enjoyed! The performances at Qingming Riverside Park were one after another, making it hard to leave the park. You could easily spend two days there and still not have enough time to enjoy it!

For lazy people, the 4-hour express cable car ride with two sections is a great experience. The only downside is the steep and slightly scary climb to the Golden Summit. The entire route was shrouded in gray, but after rounding a bend, the sky cleared instantly, revealing a beautiful blue sky and Golden Summit. There were convenient food stalls like KFC and "Overlord Tea" on the mountain.
A group of four drove up Laojun Mountain and parked at the Yunjing Cableway parking lot. We entered the visitor center at 12:30 PM. Having purchased our tickets online in advance, we quickly boarded the cableway, making our ascent to the summit and enjoying the stunning scenery. Details are as follows:
Itinerary
- Ascent: First, take the Yunjing Cableway (approximately 10 minutes) directly to Zhongtianmen. Then, transfer to the Fenglin Cableway (approximately 5 minutes) to the entrance of the Ten-Li Painting Screen. Walk through the Fairyland Tunnel and along a section of the Ten-Li Painting Screen (a typical walk of about an hour), enjoying the scenic views along the way. Climb to the Golden Temple. Only bring water and chocolate with you on the mountain. Wear windproof clothing or a down jacket.
- Descent: At 6:15 PM, after taking photos at the Golden Summit, we quickly descended the same way we came. First, take the second-level cableway (Fenglin Cableway), waiting in line for about 20 minutes. Then, take the first-level cableway (Yunjing Cableway), where the line was shorter.

It was absolutely worth it! We only had time for the evening and morning sessions, but it was still great. We saw the iron flower performance and the "Three Attacks on Zhu Family Village" (a traditional folk art performance). Reservations are only available after entering the park. The night view is even more beautiful, the Bianliang boat tour is fantastic, and the chrysanthemum exhibition is absolutely stunning.

The attraction itself is actually quite nice, but the management of the scenic area needs to be improved. I went during the summer vacation, and the queues were so long that you questioned your existence. There were queues for every small attraction, and each queue lasted for two hours. We hadn't even finished experiencing everything by the time the park was about to close. The management really needs to be improved!
It's worth a visit. The scenery is beautiful, the air is pleasant, and the sightseeing route is well-planned. If you are in good physical condition, I recommend taking Route B, which involves taking the elevator to the more challenging section, climbing to the Jade Emperor Palace, then taking the cable car down across the entire canyon, walking through the valley floor, and taking a boat to finish the tour. If you are not in good physical condition, take Route A, which is the opposite of Route B!

No spontaneous trip, just repeated plans. You watched the Shaolin martial arts performance, and I admired the thousand-year-old ginkgo trees. It felt so good to receive support. Arrived early at 10 am, no mountain climbing, no cable car, just a slow, leisurely stroll, stopping and going, eating and taking photos along the way. The 1500-year-old ginkgo trees could be photographed for over an hour. The red leaves at the summit are for those with stronger stamina to show off their skills!

The current Kaifeng Prefecture is a cultural tourism area modeled after the Song Dynasty Kaifeng Prefecture Office, officially opened on August 14, 2003. Kaifeng Prefecture has nine functional areas, including the Prefecture Office Culture Area, the Bao Zheng Culture Area, and the Taoist Culture Area, and also hosts live performances such as "Welcoming Guests at the Opening Ceremony" and "The Case of Chen Shimei." Kaifeng Prefecture is a highly recommended tourist attraction. I bought a night ticket, and although it drizzled throughout the day of my visit and there weren't many tourists, the show still started on time. The actors were very professional and dedicated, unaffected by the weather. The sound, lighting, and audio-visual effects were perfect, the stage presentation was excellent, the story was engaging and easy for children to understand, and there was an interactive segment at the end. The staff at the attraction provided previews of the next show and directions after each performance, which was very thoughtful. Highly recommended!
