It is worth going. It is best to drive or charter a car. Six of the eight known baobab trees in the world are unique to Madagascar, while only one is distributed on the African continent. This high concentration of species makes it the epicenter of the evolution of baobab trees. Madagascar’s “Baobab Avenue” houses hundreds of towering baobab trees, some more than 800 years old, and trunks intertwine to form magnificent landscapes, while other parts of Africa lack iconic communities of similar size. Madagascar baobab trees have evolved super-strong water storage mechanisms due to the short rainy season (11-3 month): the trunk is loose and porous, and the water storage of a single tree can reach 2-100 tons. Local residents even take the initiative to inject rainwater into them for use in the dry season. Its fruits, tender leaves, and so on provide food for humans and animals, and its trunk storage becomes a lifeline in the dry season, known as the “tree of life,” while the baobab tree in other parts of Africa is relatively ecologically dependent. In Madagascar legend, the baobab tree is a miracle of "inverted" growth, symbolizing the "mother of the forest", and is given the status of the asylum of all. Important ceremonies such as local weddings are often held on the baobab tree avenue.
Madagascar, the largest island in Africa, has a very beautiful baobab tree on the island. The baobab trees here are straight and tall, and look particularly handsome, with distinct branches and leaves, and never dragging their feet. What a great place. Suitable for travel!

Madagascar is the island with the richest flora and fauna in the world, and the Andasibe National Forest Reserve here has rich flora and fauna. Especially the animals here, many of which are unique to Madagascar and are very precious. It is really worth visiting and exploring.
Andasibe National Forest Reserve is a very famous primeval forest on the island of Madagascar. It is rich in flora and fauna and has magnificent scenery. Hiking is the best choice. Here you can see many rare animals on the island of Madagascar, as well as clear streams and magnificent waterfalls. It is definitely a must-see attraction on the island.

Don't look down on this place. Backward countries also have historical sites, although this one is a work from the colonial era. In fact, this palace existed before the colonial era. It should be a relatively simple one, and it should be made of wood. It was after the arrival of the colonists that they transformed it into a stone building in accordance with European customs, perhaps by wrapping the original wooden structure inside.
The Queen's Palace is a famous palace in Tananarive. It was once a symbol of the colonial history of the last two centuries. The Queen's Palace is high above and the scenery around it can be seen. It is really beautiful. Many colonial relics and furniture are still preserved here. It is now one of the most important museums in Madagascar.

We originally planned to spend two full days here, but due to the cancellation of the Air Madagascar flight, we ended up with only one day left. What a fulfilling day it was. Our excellent guide Ludo decided to fit the two days into one day and we saw a lot - lemurs, birds, chameleons and even a fossa (some kind of mammal). I wish I could stay here longer. Maybe we weren't here during peak season, but there were a lot of times when we were the only ones here, which was very special.
The drive from Morondava to the Kirindy forest reserve was long and grueling, but it was worth it to spend a few hours in their natural habitat and see the lemurs. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable, and we saw many brown and white lemurs. We were lucky to see a semi-tamed seal next to the camp. Long pants and comfortable shoes are recommended.

We rented a car with a driver to visit this place and other places around Tana. The guide was great, spoke good English and was very knowledgeable about the UNESCO World Heritage. As others have mentioned, this palace, revered by the Malagasy people, was packed with students. The guide was well paced and gave us time to ask questions and give feedback. The scenery was stunning. Highly recommend this tour to get a brief history of Madagascar.
The King's Palace and the Queen's French style summer house sit on the top of the (beautiful) Blue Mountains with equally stunning views of Tanna Island in the background. The site is small and the terrain is very steep but easy to get to. It is still a sacred place for the locals, especially the large heart shaped stone. I recommend buying a guide book to explain it all. Also walk through the gardens to the viewing platform at the top. It's about an hour or so from Tanna Island, so a good half day trip, or like we did, spend a few hours here before our afternoon flight.

Parking is a bit expensive but hey, it's to be done so don't regret it. Departed at 7am with a park guide. Before entering the park we bought some stuff for a picnic which is preferable when we want to see the maximum. Then we started hiking with stunning views, beautiful nature and my guide made me discover all the beauties of this park. Take care to take a big bottle of water because we will need it. Don't forget the sunscreen because the shadows on the site are not very distinct. It was 16 km of pure bliss. Special mention to my park guide Zozoly who shared his passion for the park with us, he had the patience of an angel and let me take all the pictures I wanted and even told me where to find cool angles to take pictures. Gold medal 🥇 Zozoly the best tour guide.
The natural park is full of contrasts and not overcrowded. 100% recommended if you like nature and different places. It's easy to do for all ages and if you go with a good guide like us, who were 3 couples from Madagascar Viajes, it can become very pleasant and fun. We will come back without hesitation.

Madagascar is amazing and Tsingy is amazing too. The road from Morondava is very challenging and takes almost a whole day. But it is worth it. The excursion lasts a few hours. Don't forget to bring sunscreen and insect repellent because there are a lot of mosquitoes. It is not a good destination if you are afraid of heights. You need to climb a lot and they give you safety belts but the rocks are still very sharp. So shorts are not the best idea because your legs will be scratched. The view is one of a kind. You will remember it for the rest of your life
The Tsingbe Maraha Strict Nature Reserve is the most famous attraction on the island of Madagascar. It is listed as a natural and cultural heritage by the World Heritage Organization. It has the most obvious karst landform on the earth. The scenery is very similar to the Stone Forest in Kunming, Yunnan, but on a larger scale. There are cable bridges connecting the stone peaks. Playing during the period is like being in a fairy tale world, which is very magical.
