If you come to Mexico City, you must not miss the National Museum of Anthropology! The collections in the museum are rich beyond imagination, ranging from ancient Indian civilization to mysterious Aztec civilization and Mayan civilization. When you see those ancient ruins and exquisite cultural relics with your own eyes, the shock in your heart is beyond words. The layout of the whole venue is reasonable and it is very comfortable to visit. I spent a whole afternoon visiting and still felt unsatisfied.
I have visited the National Museum of Anthropology in CDMX 3 times and each time I learn something new. There are of course the must-sees like the Sun Stone but the collections of art, artifacts, maps and more is truly amazing. 10/10 You should visit on next trip to Mexico City!

The castle is an amazing place to remember some history from the time when Maximiliano de Hasburgo and his wife arrived to mexico to the actual moment. Also all the Mexican context and the nationalism that in primary we get as Mexican. is beautiful to remember. I saw that the Folklore Ballet of Amalia Hernandez have some performances there, I love that company. it’s a pitty that next day I had to go from CDMX and we already have plan for that evening. if you have time get the tickets ☺️
Chapultepec Castle is magnificent, luxuriously decorated and well-preserved, and you can overlook the view of Mexico City from the top floor👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

The Great Temple is located next to the central square. It is a super convenient attraction. The original temple has been destroyed by Spanish colonists. Only the tower base and stone steps remain, but the architecture of that time is still amazing👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
This semi-excavated site has clear signs in English and Spanish and is an important historical site well worth a visit. It is worth noting that there are quite a few stairs to go up and down, which may be difficult for people with limited mobility.

It is located in the central and bustling area of the city. The building is quite grand, surrounded by parks and sightseeing clock towers, and very close to Constitution Square. I only admired the beautiful scenery outside and didn't know how to go in for a visit.
Although the old town is a bit noisy and crowded with cars and pedestrians, we found it worth a visit as it has many old colonial buildings including many churches, the National Palace and plenty of shops and restaurants.

Mexico City's Constitution Square is the center of the city. It is said that the very simple buildings around the square are where the president's office is located. As long as you register, you can enter the building for a visit. There is also a magnificent church with amazing interior decoration.
The Constitution Square is one of the landmarks of Mexico City. Take the subway and get off at ZOCALO Station. The subway station names in Mexico City are accompanied by icons, which is very convenient. The flag-raising ceremony at the Constitution Square cannot be missed. A dozen soldiers carry a huge national flag. If you don't see the flag-raising ceremony, it's hard to imagine that the national flag is so huge. We went there several times, and once we caught an event.

I don't recommend you spend 80 pesos to buy a ticket like we did. There is only one big exhibition hall, which is very deceptive. The rest is closed. It only took ten minutes to visit. If you really want to come on Sunday, you can just come and see the free one.
The National Museum of Fine Arts in Mexico City is a very delicate and elegant building with a marble structure. It is beautiful to take pictures from all angles. Free admission on weekends. The museum exhibits art exhibitions of various themes. When we went there, nearly 400 works by the well-known Cartier-Bresson were on display. There is a special Spanish architecture exhibition upstairs, which requires additional tickets. Many tourists and locals gathered in the square at the entrance. Some stalls sell souvenirs and special foods. There are steel drum performances, speeches, cartoons on stilts, and a group of children performing ribbon dances.

A very beautiful and historic cathedral, especially its garden. I really like the ruins of historical buildings and some beautiful statues in the garden.
The Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe is listed as a world Catholic wonder. It is located at the foot of the Holy Mountain of Tepeyac, not far from downtown Mexico City. It is a complex of buildings built on the mountain. Moreover, the statue of Our Lady of Guadalupe on the altar can be seen from any angle. The most precious items in the church are the statue of Our Lady of Guadalupe hanging on the wall in the middle of the altar and the crown standing on the statue of Our Lady.

Mexico City Cathedral is located in the center of the city at the Plaza de la Constitución. Its exterior is full of historical atmosphere, and its interior is solemn, splendid and magnificent. You can enter the interior for a detailed visit and appreciation upon request.
You can really feel the extraordinary architecture and the sound of the organ. The view inside and outside the church is very authentic, you can see that it is built on a Mayan temple. There are also government-organized guides to serve customers. There are some vendors on the neater side of the lobby. If you want to buy some souvenirs in the church, bring pesos, they don't accept US dollars or Canadian dollars. This is a really great attraction

As the name suggests, this place has three cultural buildings to form a tourist attraction. You should make a small guide before coming here, so that you can better understand the historical background of this square. It is very interesting.
The Plaza de la Cultura in Mexico City is definitely the most worthwhile place to visit. It is the site of a large Mayan city, as well as churches from the Spanish colonial period and modern commercial buildings. The integration of three cultures from different periods here is really unique.

The National Palace is near the Constitution Square and is free to enter. Every day, a huge national flag is raised in the Constitution Square. Three middle-aged officers walk side by side in front, and thirteen soldiers behind them carry the huge rolled national flag out of the central gate of the National Palace. When entering the gate of the National Palace, your ID will be checked. Foreigners leave their passports in exchange for a visitor pass hanging on their chests. The National Palace is very large. When we went there, only one courtyard and the upstairs were open. We could see some murals reflecting the early years of the struggle for independence and the war period. There is a small room with a national flag hanging on it. It was the parliament hall used before. Since there is no introduction in English, we can't get more information.
The National Palace is another great free attraction, be sure to visit to see Diego Rivera's mural masterpieces. The second floor terrace area shows the chronological order from the arrival of Quetzalcoatl to the revolutionary period.
