The Mian County Wuhou Temple, also known as the Zhuge Temple, is located in the Zhuge Ancient Town of Wuhou Town, Mian County, Hanzhong City, Shaanxi Province. It covers an area of approximately 53,333.33 square meters. It was built in the sixth year of Jingyao (263 AD) of the Shu Han Dynasty to commemorate Zhuge Liang, the Prime Minister of the Shu Han Dynasty. It is the earliest of the many Wuhou Temples in China and the only one built by imperial decree.
The shrine dedicated to Zhuge Liang boasts a long history, having been renovated during the Qing Dynasty and more recently. It's a great place to reminisce about the past, allowing you to stop and explore as needed. It's best to hire a guide, as this will only reveal the historical sites and miss the deeper cultural context.
There's also a historical exhibition on the Fourth Red Army's activities and battles in Mian County, along with an anti-corruption education exhibition hall.
