This scenic spot is worth visiting for its historical heritage, centuries-old earthen buildings, centuries-old banyan trees, refreshing rivers, and simple people. Today, I was particularly impressed by our guide, Xiao Luo, who was very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly, and made our visit to the Nanjing Shilou Scenic Area even more intimate.

The Hekeng Tulou complex, located in Shuyang Town, Nanjing County, Fujian Province, is home to the Zhang clan Hakka people. Construction spanned over 700 years, from the mid-Yuan Dynasty to the 1960s.

Thirteen of these tulou are inscribed on the World Heritage List, including Chaoshui and Yongsheng. The complex was designed based on the principle of &quot;imitating the laws of nature and celestial phenomena.&quot; Fourteen square and circular tulou were constructed in phases, creating a two-fold &quot;Big Dipper&quot; formation, with an ingenious layout. Chaoshui is the oldest tulou in the complex, while the most distinctive is the square-shaped Shengqing. Inside, the ancestral hall features a &quot;German-style Xianglu&quot; plaque and carved wooden lion rammed beams.

These tulou are enclosed, enclosed dwellings with a single main entrance on the ground floor, windows on the second and third floors, and a central courtyard. The Hekeng Tulou complex is not only a masterpiece of window treatment but also embodies the rich essence of Hakka culture. It was inscribed on the World Heritage List in 2008.

Nanjing Tulou Line A mainly includes three scenic spots: Tianluokeng Tulou Group, Yuchang Building, and Tasha Village. The following is a detailed introduction:
1 Tianluokeng Tulou Group: It is the most magical, magnificent, and shocking representative of the &quot;Tulou Kingdom&quot;. It consists of 1 square building (Buyun Building), 3 round buildings (Hechang Building, Zhenchang Building, Ruiyun Building) and 1 elliptical building (Wenchang Building). Looking down from a high place, the Tulou is like a blooming plum blossom embellishing the earth, like &quot;four dishes and one soup&quot;; looking up at the foot of the mountain, it looks like the Potala Palace standing majestically on the mountainside, giving people a strong viewing impact.  
2 Yuchang Building: The biggest feature is that the pillars are tilted to the east and west, with a maximum inclination of 15&deg;, which looks shaky, but it has withstood the test of 700 years of erosion and countless earthquakes. It is still the same, safe and sound, and has become a living specimen of ancient residential architecture. In addition, the building in the building is also a major attraction. There is a single-story ancestral hall in the middle of the large patio, with three doors: the gate of happiness, the gate of life and the gate of death.  
3 Taxia Village: a national 5A-level tourist attraction, one of the first batch of China&#39;s best landscape villages, and a provincial historical and cultural village. It is known as the &quot;water village in the mountains and Zhouzhuang in southern Fujian&quot;. The village has winding streams, swaying bamboo shadows, and curling smoke. The apron building, the hanging corner building, the Deyuan Hall, the stone dragon flagpole and other buildings are dotted among them, and the scenery is picturesque.
4 In spring, the cherry blossoms in Ziyun Mountain are in full bloom, which is very beautiful!

Traveling to Fujian, this stop came to Nanjing, Zhangzhou, to visit Yunshuiyao Scenic Area. In this scenic area, there is a &quot;Tulou Light Cultural Park&quot;. We invited a local to be our tour guide. She brought us here, but we didn&#39;t go in because we had to pay for tickets. The tour guide said that this was her birthplace. She was born in this building. She was a native Tulou person, and later she got married. Now it has become an exhibition hall, with ethnic costumes for rent and for taking photos.

Looking at these round and square things, everyone knows that they are used to keep warm together and resist foreign enemies, but in fact, they don&rsquo;t know much about the construction technology.
