1. Shan Lake: Fir trees grow along the banks of Shan Lake, and the Sun and Moon Towers stand tall in the lake. The Sun Tower is a bronze tower located in the center of the lake, connected by an underwater aquarium. All its components are cast from steel and decorated with exquisite bronze murals. It is the tallest bronze tower in the world, the tallest copper building in the world, and the tallest underwater tower in the world.
2. Rong Lake: Banyan trees grow along the banks of Rong Lake. The Beidou Bridge in the lake connects the center island in the east and the ancient South Gate in the west. The bridge's shape and direction are based on the distribution of the Big Dipper, hence the name Beidou Bridge. The bridge deck and railings are made entirely of white marble, making it the longest white marble bridge in Guangxi. 3. Guihu Lake: Originally the moat of Guilin City during the Song Dynasty, Guihu Lake is now an exposition park showcasing renowned trees, flowers, herbs, gardens, and bridges. The lakeside boasts numerous scenic spots, including the Palm Garden and the Magnolia Garden. On October 22, 2025, at 7:50 PM, I boarded the Shuiyun Guohu boat, enjoying the scenic beauty of the two rivers and four lakes, as well as the famous bridges and mountains along the way. I also got a close-up look at the Guihu Fishing Fire Show, including the osprey fishing show, the elegant rhythm of the Song Dynasty, the half-zither falling moon, and the light and shadow performances on the ancient city walls. I truly felt the essence of Guilin's landscape, where "the city is in the scenery, and the scenery is in the city," and fully enjoyed the dazzling charm of Guilin at night.

In Elephant Trunk Hill Park, walk along the riverside path to the Water Moon Cave to capture the classic image of the "elephant trunk" reflected in the water. This is a highly recommended attraction. It boasts pristine, ancient scenery. A guide usually leads a group of about 10 people, providing explanations and commentary throughout the visit. Memories of the Li River Scenery
This time, I chose the Ctrip-themed cruise ship "Y0Y0 Happy Cruise," departing from Zhujiang Wharf in Guilin and sailing to Longtoushan Wharf in Yangshuo, a journey of about 4 hours. Following the guide, I enjoyed the scenery along the way; the landscape before my eyes was like a series of vivid landscape paintings. I finally experienced firsthand the charm of "Guilin's scenery is the best under heaven," and understood many famous scenic spots.
1. What's hidden in Yangdi's scenery?
Yangdi is the first scenic area after the Li River flows into Yangshuo. Here, both banks are lined with uniquely shaped peaks, and the bamboo along the river is lush and verdant. Sailing downstream, lifelike mountain landscapes such as Embroidered Mountain Walls, Carp Hanging on the Walls, and Children Worshipping Guanyin come into view, as if stepping into a flowing landscape painting. Occasionally, wisps of smoke rise from the mountain villages, cormorants busily fish in the water, splashing water everywhere, and cattle and sheep bleat and moo on the mountains, creating a vibrant and wild atmosphere.
2. Can you really see nine horses at Nine Horses Painting Mountain?
That magnificent cliff, hundreds of meters high, is the famous Nine Horses Painting Mountain. The "nine horses" on the cliff are not real horses, but rather natural patterns and colors formed by the rocks. How many horses you can see depends entirely on the time of day, angle, weather, and whether you have a detailed guide. Most people can usually only see 3 to 5. A folk song goes: "Horse watcher, horse watcher, how many pairs of horses are there? Seeing seven makes you a runner-up, seeing nine makes you a champion."
3. Is comparing a 20 RMB note to the mountain peak enough?
The image on the back of the 20 RMB note is a photograph of the Yellow Cloth Reflection in the Li River. Simply comparing the shapes of the mountain peaks isn't enough; the key is to look at the two core elements: the "yellow cloth" and the "reflection." There are two interpretations of the "yellow cloth": one is that the yellow sand deposited at the bottom of the river resembles a large yellow cloth; the other is that there's a flat, large yellow stone slab at the bottom of the river, like a yellow cloth spread out. The Li River is a typical karst landscape, and its scenic characteristics can be summarized in four words: clear, unique, ingenious, and ever-changing. "Clear" refers to the Li River's year-round crystal-clear waters, allowing one to see directly to the bottom; "Unique" describes the strangely shaped yet beautiful peaks; "Exquisite" signifies the delicate and dynamic scenery, with rocks displaying remarkable shapes, textures, and colors, creating exquisitely crafted scenes as if sculpted by hand; "Changing" means the scenery varies with the seasons, day and night, and weather, offering a fresh experience with each visit.

The hiking trails are closed, and hikers can only take the Bailongtan road, which is a poor experience. The buses down the mountain only run until 5:30 PM. After that, you can only take private cars that are soliciting passengers on the roadside to get down the mountain.
The shuttle bus going up the mountain was going way too fast. The mountain road was winding and twisting, and very few people made it to the last stop to get off, so there wasn't even time to properly appreciate the scenery.

The park is quite large. If you have enough time, it is recommended that you come early in the afternoon to play the park's entertainment projects first. There are two in the Devil City😂, with food and entertainment. It is recommended to watch the performance around 16:30 and then enjoy the night view of the park. If it is a holiday, the entertainment projects may not end until 23:00 in the evening😂, so you can feel that the ticket price is very worthwhile🤩
It was a truly fascinating experience.
First, the scenic area had many well-organized recreational activities, so there was no need to be idle.
