Overall, the grassland is relatively large. There is a bonfire party at the entrance of the parking lot. Then there is a hero theater. Three games. The flying grassland is far away. You have to queue up to take the small train. In August, there are many people. The bonfire party is chaotic. It starts with the light show and the torch dance. The back is basically interactive and actors. Dancing, after a day of watching the show, I can't play a few projects.

The Genghis Khan Mausoleum is the cenotaph of Genghis Khan, the first Great Khan of the Mongol Empire. It is located on the grasslands of Ejin Horo Banner, Ordos City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, 40 kilometers away from the urban area of Ordos.
There are two parking lots near Genghis Khan's Mausoleum, according to the AutoNavi navigation app: one at the Genghis Khan Mausoleum Parking Lot and the other at the Genghis Khan Mausoleum Tourist Area Mausoleum Palace.
The Genghis Khan Mausoleum Parking Lot is relatively new and is about four or five kilometers from the palace. A 20-yuan shuttle bus is required. It's mainly a large plaza with some cavalry sculptures, but not much else to see. There used to be a Mongolian Cultural Museum, but it's closed due to dilapidated conditions.
It's recommended to navigate directly to the Genghis Khan Mausoleum Tourist Area Mausoleum Palace, where there's a parking lot and the actual mausoleum palace is located. Genghis Khan's actual mausoleum is unknown due to his secret burial. Currently, it mainly houses his utensils and the Eight White Rooms, eight small white yurts, similar to cenotaphs, where used bows and arrows are stored as memorials. The building itself is well-built, but I find the lack of information about his life, history, and exhibitions a bit disappointing.

I went to Kangbashi Museum some time ago, and it was really amazing! As soon as I walked to the front of the museum, I was attracted by the unique architectural shape, which looked like a rock that had been polished by time and had a special sense of history. After entering, the various exhibits were dazzling. There were ancient bronzes, exquisite ceramics, and precious calligraphy and paintings. Listening to the story behind these exhibits introduced by the guide, it was as if I traveled through time and space, and personally experienced the long history and splendid culture of Ordos. I felt very rewarding. I sincerely recommend everyone to go and have a look!
The exhibition design is very attentive, divided according to the natural development context, the visiting route is clear, the transition is natural, and it is not tiring to visit. The lighting and sound effects are also amazing. In the simulated tropical rainforest exhibition area, the lighting is combined with the sound of birds and wind, as if you are in the depths of the rainforest.

A single person can consider the 388 package, which includes all the projects. It is recommended for pure play. There is no place to eat. Fortunately, we brought instant noodles with us.

The zoo is incredibly large, reflecting the grandeur of Ordos. Each animal has ample space to move around. The cage rides were average, as the animals were too lazy to eat the meat.

The Qixing Lake Desert Ecological Zone is really fun! When I got there, the continuous dunes were like golden waves, which was spectacular. I first experienced the exciting desert cross-country. The car galloped between the dunes, dived for a while and climbed for a while. My heartbeat was almost bursting. Then ride a camel slowly and sit on the camel's back, feeling that time has slowed down. In the evening, watching the sunset on the bank of Qixing Lake, the afterglow spilled on the body, warm, I was stunned at that moment, I really strongly recommend everyone to feel it!
The specific location of the lone tree and sand dunes is at the westernmost part of the entire scenic area. After entering the road, pay attention to the right hand side. If you look carefully, you can directly see the lone tree. There will be a road with ruts to enter, but non-off-road vehicles should not enter because there is a short sandy road. When we went there, a car got stuck there and had to be towed. Non-off-road vehicles can only park on the side of the road and walk more than a kilometer to enter.
Swan Lake is beautiful to watch the sunset.

I went to the Kangbashi tourist area and was really surprised! The planning here is superb, the streets are spacious and clean, the building is unique, integrating Mongolian characteristics and modern design, the Ordos Museum, the Grand Theatre, etc., are very popular. The music fountain of Ulan Mulun Lake is super shocking, and the 800-meter super long water curtain dances with the music, super cool. Walking by the lake in the evening, watching the sunset, full of fireworks, so pleasant!
In the past, Ordos vigorously developed real estate in Kangbashi District, resulting in a large number of houses being idle and uninhabited, becoming a nationally famous "ghost town". This time, the tour guide said that in order to solve this problem, Ordos moved the municipal government from Dongsheng District to Kangbashi, which largely solved the problem. We got off the bus at the square in front of the municipal government and walked all the way to the Ulun River in front, browsing the buildings and city appearance along the way. I found that I actually liked this place and thought about living here for retirement in the future. 😅
