My friend was visiting Beijing for the first time, so of course I had to take him to the Badaling Great Wall to be a hero. We took the cable car the whole way and only climbed for about 30 minutes, so it wasn't too tiring and is perfect for taking the elderly and children.
Maybe mutianyu is better in terms of view but badaling is convenient in terms of tranportartion as there's a high speed train going to and from the section.

Off-season buff + Halloween on a weekday, 10 hours of walking totaling 18 kilometers, a 25-minute forbidden journey, plus a sunset Hippogriff flight – an excellent health check-up!
a very grand entrance. so beautiful in autumn! it’s big, a lot of walk. every angle is insta worthy. i went on tuesday, november, the queue for rides are not that long. max was 30minutes. the best ride for me is the forbidden journey! halal food available at universal walk, we can reenter the park after exit.

I've been there many times. Before, I'd always drive in with my family first, then go to the walking area. Every time we went to the predator enclosure, there were long queues in the afternoon, which I always felt was a waste of time and never actually queued. Today, on a whim, I wanted to go to the predator enclosure. I didn't buy bus tickets and went straight to the walking area. It was almost noon when I arrived. We headed straight for the predator enclosure. The queue wasn't too bad, less than an hour. We basically kept moving forward. The lions, tigers, and bears weren't as well-fed as I expected; a few predators were still circling the car looking for food. The bears were the most greedy, basically just circling the car. It was so much fun! I regret not having been there before. After leaving the predator enclosure, it was lunchtime. After lunch, we fed the giraffes and elephants. It felt like we'd seen all the places we wanted to go. We found a huge amusement park near Kapibala and just went in and didn't want to leave. It got really cold after 4 pm in November. We didn't finish exploring everything and left feeling unsatisfied. Next time, I must go earlier! Five hours wasn't enough; we didn't even get to ride the little train!
This trip to the Beijing Wildlife Park was truly heartwarming, thanks to the excellent service provided by the staff. Upon entering the park, staff members warmly guided us to our respective areas and patiently explained the routes. On the mini-train, the guide provided incredibly detailed explanations, clearly describing the characteristics of each animal, which captivated my child. In the predator enclosure, our driver, Mr. Pang, drove very steadily and reminded us to be careful, slowing down to allow us to take photos when we saw animals. The park's cleaning staff were also very responsible, keeping the grounds impeccably clean. In short, the service here greatly enhanced our experience, deserving a five-star rating!

It’s a fun and buzzing place for both adults and kids. There a lot of interactive activities, live performances, music, stamp stations and beautiful scenery/areas. Some parts are under construction, so the walkway to forest area was a bit tight with people taking photos, games, stamp stations and people trying to walk past. However, it was fun and my nieces and nephews enjoyed it. The lovely young man who checked our tickets realised that he gave us Chinese passports, went out of his way to find us and to give us the English passports for our stamp collections. My niece and nephew really appreciated that.
I would say go to Poland in a year because they are gonna build a big spot! But even right now there’s so much fun. Don’t forget to check the schedule of the shows. We had lots of fun for almost 4 hours.

It’s definitely worth a visit to the Panda Pavilion in Beijing Zoo. The ticket to the panda pavilion is single entry, once you exit the panda pavilion you can’t re-enter but you could get a new ticket if you want to. There’s a very nice cafe inside the panda pavilion, it’s on the first floor. There are coffee and desserts. There are three pandas at the Olympic house and two pandas at the Asian games house. The zoo opened at 7:30am but the panda pavilion opened at 8am. The pandas are all behind glass wall therefore it’s difficult to capture photos or videos without reflections. There’s a metro station right outside the zoo. There are plenty of food, drinks and souvenirs shops inside the zoo. I don’t think there’s a toilet inside the panda pavilion but within the zoo there are plenty of toilets available.
Now that the weather is getting cooler, many of the animals in the zoo are not released outdoors and have returned to their dormitories. However, some animals are kept outside for people to watch. Due to the weather, there are not many visitors on weekends. It is recommended that parents with children bring their children here for a walk and teach them some animal knowledge. The area of the Beijing Zoo is not very large, so two hours is enough for a circle. There are many kinds of animals. Every morning, many elderly people do morning exercises here to breathe fresh air. In short, the environment is not bad.

A Majestic Pass: Echoes of History Between Mountains and Sea Standing beneath Shanhaiguan Pass, gazing up at the towering plaque proclaiming "The First Pass Under Heaven," the five characters, powerful and vigorous, seem to embody boundless strength. This pass, over six centuries old, awes the hearts of every visitor with its grandeur. Beneath the Yanshan Mountains to the north and connecting to the Bohai Sea to the south, Shanhaiguan derives its name from its unique geographical location. In the fourteenth year of the Hongwu reign of the Ming Dynasty, Xu Da, a founding hero, established a garrison here, leaving behind this crucial military stronghold along the Great Wall. Touching the mottled walls, one feels not only the cool bricks but also the warmth of time. These weathered marks seem to whisper tales of past battles, evoking images of thunderous drums and clashing swords on ancient battlefields. Ascending the watchtower, one can gaze far and wide. To the north, the Yanshan Mountains rise in layers, the Great Wall winding like a giant dragon across them; to the south, the Bohai Sea surges, the sea and sky merging into one. This fortified pass, once a vital strategic point controlling China's lifeline, has influenced the nation's destiny countless times over the millennia. It was here that Wu Sangui, the Ming Dynasty general defending the pass, surrendered to the Qing Dynasty, leading to its establishment; it was also here that in 1933, Chinese troops used the pass as a shield, firing the first shot of the Great Wall resistance against Japanese aggression. Heading south to Laolongtou, the Great Wall appears like a giant dragon entering the sea, its head poised to tumble in the waves. This sea-facing stone fortress was built under the supervision of the renowned anti-Japanese general Qi Jiguang, extending the Great Wall more than twenty meters into the sea. Standing atop Chenghai Tower, witnessing the romantic encounter between the Great Wall and the sea, one is deeply moved by the awe-inspiring grandeur and boundless spirit. Shanhaiguan is a testament to history, covered in its traces. It is not merely a pass, but a link connecting the past and the future. Touching every brick and tile of this guardian city, feeling the ancient warmth hidden in the cool stone crevices, one is instantly moved by the historical stories and legends of Shanhaiguan. As I left, the setting sun bathed Shanhaiguan in gold. This majestic pass, a witness to countless dynasties, still stands, silently guarding this land and its people. It has transformed from a frontier fortress into a beautiful scenic spot, but the resilience and wisdom of the Chinese nation it embodies continue to inspire us to remember history and cherish the present. My trip to Shanhaiguan allowed me to appreciate not only the magnificence of nature but also the weight of history. This fortress is deeply etched in my heart, an indelible memory.
There were too many people at Shanhaiguan during the National Day holiday. If Li Zicheng had so many people, he would have been able to defend Shanhaiguan. The problem is that there are too many people, and the experience is much worse. Parking is very difficult, and it is also difficult to move after entering. But the scenery at the seaside is still good, and you can play in the sand and water. Overall, it is still okay.

It was a fantastic experience. We toured the interior of a real aircraft carrier, watched stunt car shows and water performances, and the final, spectacular long-running fireworks display was truly unforgettable.
The TEDA Aircraft Carrier Theme Park has a commercial street inside. Keep going straight, and the aircraft carrier is on your right-hand side of the plaza. Wow, boarding the ship...it's so stuffy! The deck is actually quite nice; you can go up and play around and enjoy the breeze.

The China Science and Technology Museum is not only a paradise for children to learn, but adults can also learn a lot of knowledge. However, you must ask for explanations. Our teacher Xiao Liu is great. She has rich knowledge reserves, vivid explanations, and is very friendly to the children. I hope to hear her explanations again next time I come.
The scale and content of the China Science and Technology Museum are incomparable to those of local science and technology museums, especially the Space Museum, which actually has rocket engines! Teacher Lin's explanation is very good, and it is interesting to talk about the past and the present. The whole family gained a lot.

The Araya scenic area is excellent and highly recommended. Located in the Gold Coast Resort, it boasts a long coastline and beautiful beaches. Summer is the best time to visit. Since it's a closed-door area, safety is guaranteed.
Hidden beneath the coastal dunes, the Aranya Dune Art Museum is a work of land art in its own right. Its interior resembles a mysterious cave, with winding galleries connected by several light wells. Natural light pours in, blending with the sea breeze and the sound of waves to become part of the exhibition. Experiencing contemporary art here and experiencing the ingenious fusion of man-made and natural elements is a unique sensory experience.

My son liked Sanxingdui in Guanghan very much. This time, I specially brought him to Tianjin to see it. It was a light and shadow art exhibition. There were some exhibits, but not many special features. After visiting this place, I must go to Sanxingdui again to see it.
The National Maritime Museum is well worth a visit. Since we went during the National Day holiday, I was worried it might be overcrowded. But upon arrival, I realized I was wrong. The museum is truly enormous, so even with so many people, it never felt crowded. The museum also offers a wealth of content. If you want to explore it all, you'll probably need a day. If you have limited time, I recommend choosing a few that interest you and exploring them slowly.
