Sundays and Mondays are generally less crowded, so we chose the right days. Therefore, on Sunday, October 26th, we didn't need to queue for the cable car or make reservations for the Red Cloud Golden Summit at Fanjingshan. Foreign tourists aged 65 and above receive free admission. We pre-purchased adult tickets on Ctrip and successfully received a refund at the ticket office on the day of the visit.
Buying tickets for Fanjingshan on Ctrip is very convenient. I've visited Fanjingshan several times, but it was always on cloudy or rainy days, so the experience wasn't very enjoyable. This time, after checking the weather forecast, I thought it would be okay. The sunrise was nice, but it was mostly cloudy with occasional sunshine, which was still quite good.

Huangguoshu Scenic Area is worth a visit, with its spectacular waterfalls! In addition, water flows over rocks, trees grow on rocks, and there are ancient banyan trees that are hundreds of years old, with their exposed roots tightly wrapped around huge rocks.
Huangguoshu Waterfall truly lives up to its reputation as a scenic spot and is well worth a visit. Although there are many local vendors selling goods nearby, they are not overbearing, and the vendors seem quite passionate about their work. Overall, it's a great tourist experience with reasonable prices. Huangguoshu Waterfall is actually not just one attraction; it comprises several natural sites. While the main waterfall is the most spectacular, if you have time, exploring the smaller waterfalls and trails is also quite enjoyable. A full afternoon is sufficient for a proper visit (within the scenic area only, excluding transportation).

The hotel environment is fantastic, with stunning views. The night view and the view of the Miao village from the balcony in the early morning are particularly beautiful. Since it was the off-season, the manager even upgraded our room for free. The service was also excellent; a young man picked up our luggage at the North Gate. The room had a smart toilet, bathtub, capsule coffee machine, and the bathtub had disposable liners and mugwort bath packs. Most importantly, the minced meat noodles for breakfast were incredibly delicious!!! Five stars!!!
My second visit to the Miao village was the same as before, but with the rain, it felt even more dramatic. The price of five-color sticky rice had doubled, which is normal! Prices outside have been rising for a few years now.

I also got a close-up look at the Guihu Fishing Fire Show, including the osprey fishing show, the elegant rhythm of the Song Dynasty, the half-zither falling moon, and the light and shadow performances on the ancient city walls. I truly felt the essence of Guilin's landscape, where "the city is in the scenery, and the scenery is in the city," and fully enjoyed the dazzling charm of Guilin at night.

Guilin is shrouded in mist and clouds, with solitary peaks soaring into the azure sky. Staying at the Xiangshan Puyun Hotel, I found its location to be excellent, close to the Two Rivers and Four Lakes scenic area, Elephant Trunk Hill, and the Sun and Moon Twin Towers – all just a few minutes' walk away. The receptionist was incredibly attentive and welcoming, proactively offering water and hand-drawn maps of local restaurants. Highly recommended!
I was very satisfied with my stay! The room was clean and tidy, and the location was very convenient. There are many hand-shaken drink shops nearby, and various attractions are within walking distance. The front desk service was also very warm and thoughtful. Highly recommended!

Zhijin Cave Tour Guide: We recommend visiting in the morning to avoid crowds and bring warm clothing, as the temperature inside the cave is a constant 16°C. Must-see attractions include the Overlord's Helmet and the Silver Rain Tree. The entire walk takes about two hours. After exiting the cave, be sure to stop at the observation deck for a breathtaking view of the surrounding karst landscape.
A visit to Zhijin Cave in Bijie was truly breathtaking. They say, "After visiting the Five Sacred Mountains, you can't see any other mountains, and after visiting Zhijin Cave, you can't see any more caves." Zhijin Cave is incredibly vast, and the scenery inside is truly unique. The stalactites are incredibly diverse and breathtaking. Don't miss Zhijin Cave when visiting Guiyang. Experience this wonder of the world for yourself and you'll leave with no regrets.

When I first arrive in a new place, I like to visit places with rich local culture. This time in Guilin, I chose the Jingwang Mansion. The ticket included a guided tour, which was very engaging. I even participated in making rubbings of the character "福" (fortune). This place is blessed with outstanding people and beautiful scenery. I recommend it to anyone who likes history and culture. Although many people don't recommend it, I feel it's much better than those trendy food streets and photo spots. This is the essence of travel.
The scenic area is the only 5A-level scenic spot in Guilin. It is well-operated, clean, and the sightseeing buses are all vintage-style. The staff all wear Hanfu (traditional Han Chinese clothing). Once you enter the scenic area, you feel like a prince or princess, which is quite interesting. However, it is a pity that our tour guide's explanation was not very good. I don't know if all tour guides are of this level, but it lacked storytelling and emotional appeal. The only memorable thing about the whole tour was the Tai Sui (a mythical creature). I suggest that they tell this history in more detail and do less marketing. Such a beautiful and auspicious place is still worth a visit.
