As an Australian tourist who has been to many theme parks around the world, including Orlando Disney World, Shanghai Disneyland was by far the most well priced and one of the most fun. We arrived around 10:30am on a Wednesday morning, the week after China's Golden Week (strategic planning on my part), and the queues were fine. Still queues like any theme park, but they were fast moving and on average around 30 minutes for the big popular rides. My boyfriend and I got to go on all the big rides (Pirates of the Caribbean, Tron, Zootopia, etc.). Only Zootopia had a 90+ minute queue, so we paid ¥180 RMB (about $40 AUD) each to skip the line. USE THE OFFICIAL APP! It's a lifesaver with its map that live updates with queue times. I also highly recommend staying for the 8:00pm fireworks and lights show because there's nothing else like it. My only complaint is that they need more benches around because people get exhausted and end up sitting on the ground. Otherwise, perfect experience!
One of the largest Disneylands in the world! Lots of worlds, rides and the castle is so big you can enter it. Recommend a day or 2 to really see everything as lines can be long and take a while. Staff sometimes look miserable if you compare to something like Japan Disneyland otherwise no complaints and well worth going and seeing! The food here was also very decent

Great place to spend a day 😊😊The killer whale show 🐬is the highlight impressive and worth the trip 👍👍
Tickets for 3 PM entry don't cover the orca show. Even after entering the main gate, you still need to wait for the 4:30 PM show near the entrance. If you rush across the bridge for the 4 PM dolphin show, you'll miss the closest 4:30 PM show. Watching the 4:30 PM show near the entrance and then crossing the bridge to see the show on the other side of the river is also feasible, saving you from walking back and forth. Some attractions close early in the evening.

The Shanghai Museum was definitely worth the trip! Free reservations and access to so many national treasures—the value is incredible! The actual artifacts are far more impressive than the pictures! The patterns on the bronzes, the brushstrokes in the ancient paintings—the details up close are absolutely stunning, especially the Da Ke Ding (a large bronze vessel). Seeing it in person truly conveys its weight and grandeur. I highly recommend renting an audio guide (it's a great deal at 30 RMB). Otherwise, just looking at the artifacts won't give you any real understanding; the explanations make the visit much more interesting and informative, revealing the stories behind each treasure. The exhibition layout is very clear, and the signs are easy to follow, so you won't get lost. It's best to avoid weekends to avoid crowds and take your time. Wear comfortable shoes; the visit will take about 3 hours. There's a rest area inside if you get tired. I sincerely recommend it to anyone visiting Shanghai. Whether you're a history buff or not, you'll feel the cultural charm—it's absolutely worth your time!
A Must-See at the Shanghai Museum! Travel Through Time with Zhou Xun and Check Out the Trendy Art Exhibition I was truly amazed by the new exhibition at the Shanghai Museum! This is no longer the traditional museum you might expect; it's super trendy now! 🔥 I visited the "Amazing Ancestors—Zhou Xun's Time Travel Adventure" themed art show in October, and it completely overturned my perception of museums. I had to share this guide with everyone! 📍 Address: Shanghai Museum, People's Square Branch 📅 Exhibition Period: Until the end of the year (Hurry and go!) 🎫 Admission: Free (So generous!) VR experience ticket 68 RMB, all-inclusive ticket 128 RMB, great value! 🎯 Must-See 1️⃣ Blue and White Porcelain Arena + AI Robot 💙 I was immediately struck by the sight upon entering! In the center of a Chinese-style arena adorned with blue and white porcelain patterns, a kung fu robot painted with blue and white porcelain designs is practicing Wing Chun! The "Hum hum ha hey" sound is incredibly catchy, and right next to it are the Jingdezhen kiln blue-and-white double-eared vase and blue-and-white flat pot with camellia branch design, treasures from the Shanghai Museum. The collision of tradition and the future is amazing! 2️⃣ Jade Meets the Future Zone 🪐 The "Jade Deity" from over 4,000 years ago has been transformed into a giant projection of "Zhou Xuetong" wearing a futuristic crown. The feeling of a dialogue across time is perfect for taking amazing photos! 3️⃣ Bronze Across Eras ⚔️ Here, the Da Ke Ding has been transformed into "Zhou Xuetong's" bronze armor and bronze headphones. The super cool bronze guardian design protects the cultural treasures of our ancestors—definitely a social media darling! 4️⃣ Pastel Romance Zone 💕 Everything is in pastel colors. Treasures such as the Qianlong-era pastel-painted vase with sculpted children and the pastel-painted lotus-patterned covered bowl, combined with the dreamy exhibition layout, will directly capture the heart of any girl! 📸 Hidden Features 🎮 VR Experience Zone: On the first floor, you can become a cultural relic restorer, travel through the world of cultural relics to save "Zhou Tongxue"—a truly immersive experience! 📱 AR Photo Op: The museum features an AR photo spot where you can virtually take a photo with "Zhou Tongxue"—a high-tech experience!

The queue wasn't too long, and you could see and smell the animals through the bus windows. The staff on board would feed the animals, and they would come closer to get a close look at the wild beasts.
Shanghai Wild Animal Park is definitely worth a visit. The discounted tickets for senior citizens are excellent value for money, and I hope there will be similar promotional offers in the future. The park boasts a wide variety of animals, and I had a wonderful time.

I'd like to specifically mention the tour guide from Ctrip, Mr. Yang Lexin. His explanations were incredibly vivid and engaging, and he demonstrated a high level of personal expertise. You could tell he has a deep passion for astronomy. This tour was definitely worthwhile; I learned a great deal, and I couldn't resist writing this review.
Our first stop during the fall break was the Shanghai Astronomy Museum. Since tickets weren't available on their official WeChat account, we opted for a ticket + XR activity pass through Ctrip. Unexpectedly, we encountered an amazing guide, Mr. Yang, who was incredibly professional. He explained complex astronomical concepts clearly and easily, demonstrating a wealth of solid knowledge. He even occasionally pulled out his phone to show us photos he had taken of the Big Dipper and Jupiter's rings.

Highly recommend the Shanghai Ocean Aquarium! It's a truly therapeutic paradise, with a dazzling array of rare marine life. From colorful tropical fish and languid sea turtles to the lively dolphin shows (open during certain hours), every corner is a delightful surprise. The underwater tunnel is perfect for taking amazing photos; the interplay of light and shadow makes every shot a masterpiece. The aquarium is clean and tidy, with excellent facilities and clear signage so you won't get lost. Whether you're taking your kids for educational fun or enjoying a relaxing time with friends, you're guaranteed a joyful experience. It's also easily accessible, making it a must-visit gem in Shanghai!
I went during the Shanghai Tourism Festival and got a half-price ticket! It was such a great deal! The tunnel was so beautiful, and there were jellyfish that changed with the different lights—a magical underwater world. There was also a seal or sea lion that seemed determined to "operate"! Sorry if I'm wrong—it was super cute!

Shanghai Romance Park was recommended by a friend, so I went! It was really fun; even the elderly and children didn't want to leave. The NPCs were super nice, and you could win silver tickets, which could be exchanged for gifts. The show was excellent 😻, I'll definitely come again next time.
Shanghai Romance Park is a treasure trove that seamlessly integrates a sense of time travel into its scenes: from the punk-mecha-style "childhood memory" shops in the picture to the retro streets filled with neon signs from the Republic of China era, it's a journey across a century. The main show, "Shanghai Romance," is a showstopper—when 3,000 tons of water are poured onto the stage, the mist evokes the grandeur of Lord Chunshen's flood control efforts, and when Xu Wenqiang flies overhead, flyers carry the scent of old Shanghai. Don't miss the costume room where you can rent cheongsams and take cinematic photos under the "Minbai Department Store" sign; for families with kids, head to "WA! Dinosaurs," where dinosaurs will come down from the stage and rub against your hand. The downside is that the snacks are a bit pricey, but the 2:30 PM main show is well worth the price—as the show ends, the actors hold up "Shanghai Forward" signs, and even the older folks are secretly wiping away tears.

It's a bit of a mixed bag. There are too few staff, leading to long queues for many attractions. Also, some of the facilities don't seem to be well-maintained. It's only been open a short time, and there are already many visible flaws.
LEGOLAND Shanghai has taken the magic of building blocks to new heights! The Mario Karting set perfectly recreates the game's details, a must-see for building enthusiasts; the LEGO Shanghai skyline miniatures the Oriental Pearl Tower and the Expo China Pavilion, creating a mesmerizing light show at night; and the giant "Shanghai Exclusive" LEGO minifigures are a top photo opportunity, with the roller coaster in the background adding to the ambiance. We recommend spending the morning on the interactive building block attractions, the afternoon exploring the miniature city, and the evening enjoying the giant character light show. Don't forget the parent-child building workshops for families with kids—this is more than just a theme park; it's a joyful planet where childhood is woven into the fabric of building blocks!

The birds and animals in the park were very lively, while the large carnivores were mostly sleeping, probably due to the temperature. The park wasn't very clean, and there were no keepers or cleaners in sight. Overall, it didn't feel as good as it did five years ago, both in terms of the number of animals and the cleanliness.
It was a great zoo experience, and the price was cheap at 40 yuan. For an additional 15 yuan, there's a shuttle bus service with easy hop-on and hop-off options. Each animal has a name, and their names and preferences are clearly written on the wall – very thoughtful! When we arrived at the panda enclosure, we saw a panda eating bamboo in front of the visitors and filmed the whole thing. The parking lot is about a 300-meter walk and costs 8 yuan per hour. Next time, I'd love to feed the tigers and add to the fun!

Today was so much fun! I had a blast. There were lots of cosplayers tonight, the performances were fantastic, and the rides were great. The last big ride was especially enjoyable. I think it was definitely worth coming, and I'll definitely come again next year.
This was my first time attending a Halloween event, and it was incredibly crowded! The vast majority of people were university students, dressed up in their costumes and radiating enthusiasm. The atmosphere in the park was fantastic. The shows were amazing, there were so many to see! There were also so many handsome and beautiful NPCs, but unfortunately, I didn't have the courage to take a picture with them. I had a lot of fun! I hope I can participate again next time. Many of the rides were so thrilling, I couldn't possibly try them all!
