When I came to Shantou, I found out that there is a Luoshi Scenic Area. There is almost no queue for the cable car to go up and down. It is very fast and suitable for people who don’t want to climb the mountain. In fact, the whole scenic area is very large. Be careful on rainy days.
The cable car and slide in the Luoshi Scenic Area are great for sightseeing, fun, and taking photos. The mountain is quite cool, and even if you climb, it won't take too long (it doesn't feel high and the slope is relatively gentle). The view overlooking the bay and the panoramic view of Longhu District are particularly unique. Don't miss it if you come to Shantou.

It's very easy to use and convenient. Even though I bought my ticket through Ctrip, I still had to exchange it for a paper ticket to enter. There's a lot to see and do, and the attractions aren't crowded, so I could take my time. It's about an hour's taxi ride from downtown Shantou. There's a fruit shop across from the entrance where you can buy fruit.
Tickets are issued quickly and are cheaper than at the ticket office. A huge group of ancient houses, a combination of Chinese and Western styles, well preserved and repaired! Fortunately, we invited an interpreter, Xiao Xie, who was very professional, and gave us a deep understanding of this patriotic overseas Chinese and history.

The Chaoshan History and Culture Expo Center (referred to as Chaobo Hall) located in the middle section of Nanbin Road on the south bank of Shantou Inner Bay (referred to as Chaobo Hall) has a strong tidal wind from Yazhu to the interior. There are new exhibitions from time to time. This is a recent boutique.
The Chaoshan History Museum is like a time-travel treasure box! As soon as you enter the door, you will be attracted by the old photos and arcade models on the wall, as if you have traveled back to the streets of Shantou during the Republic of China. The Overseas Chinese Remittances Cultural Relics Area is very interesting. Those yellowed family letters and old objects from Southeast Asia tell the struggle history of Chaoshan people "going abroad". The most surprising thing is the immersive experience of Chaoshan opera. The holographic projection makes the ancient costumes dance in front of you, and you can also learn a few lines of "Chaoshan version of rap" on the spot!

Mayu Island, located in Shantou, hides the secret of Guangdong East. The blue sea and blue sky are intertwined with the fishing village style. It takes about 20 minutes to walk from the city to the Bay Bridge. General drivers will ask for an additional fee when entering the island, 10-15 yuan. Mayu Island must visit Mazu Temple to pray for blessings, stroll on the seaside plank road to watch the tide, pick up shells on the reef beach, taste the fresh sea fish porridge and wontons. You can swim in the sea in summer, ride around the island in spring and autumn, and enjoy the colorful graffiti village.
Mayu Island is very small: the area is about 0.2 square kilometers, the length is 0.65 kilometers, the width is 0.64 kilometers, and the coastline is 2.3 kilometers long.
