The hotel butler called in advance to arrange a room with a view of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda for us and even prepared souvenirs for the children. The room had complimentary bottled water, and the service was warm, attentive, and excellent. Highly recommended!
Professor Zhang Lei's itinerary planning was excellent, avoiding peak tourist seasons and backtracking. His explanations were insightful and easy to understand, seamlessly integrating historical background, sources of historical anecdotes, and local customs. His presentation was both engaging and profound, showcasing an impressive wealth of knowledge and professional expertise. Throughout the trip, the most memorable aspect was the display of artifacts that, beyond their immediate impact and awe, often prompted reflection and questioning across millennia. It also included information about local specialties, snacks, and nearby attractions at Mount Li. It was truly a worthwhile trip.

The place is sublime, full of history. I just regret not getting any plan (pdf plan for example) there are board around the site to check where you are and find the cave but it’s not convenient and you must walk a bit to get to them. Otherwise it’s a must to do if you’re in Luoyang!
We hired a guide and listened carefully to his explanations; otherwise, looking at a bunch of big rocks, I felt completely lost, like the rocks were looking at me and I was looking at the rocks. Through the guide, I learned some previously unknown history, followed the guide on a tour, and then played around on my own for a while. It was great!

This was our favorite activity in Xian. We entered via the south gate. Its the perfect place to start if you are interested in hiring a bike to complete the full 14km of the wall. Beautiful views of the city, each area was interesting. After the Wall head to defu lane aka the bar and café street that is close to south gate. A trendy little area to have a drink and relax.
The Xi'an City Wall is remarkably well-preserved, unlike those in other cities which have mostly been demolished. This makes the Xi'an City Wall unique in the country and well worth seeing.

Mount Hua is incredibly beautiful and i was lucky that the weather held up on the day i visited as it had been raining in Xi An. Took the route to go up the West peak via cable car, before descending by foot to the North peak for the cable car back out to the main tourist centre point. The beauty of Mount Hua is 10/10, but some points to note:- Only contacted by tour operator < 24 hours before the trip on WeChat- A tour guide picked me up from my hotel at 7am, then bizarrely brought all of us to a carpark where we had to wait to change to different buses. Huge waste of time. Journey from Xi An to Mt Hua was only 1.5 hours yet we only reached at ~1030am. Shuttle bus to cable car at West peak then took 40 mins.- New tour guide then up-sold us an audio guide for 40 yuan & a pulley car ride for 30 yuan (fun but expensive for a 3 min ride)- Steps at Mt Hua can be very narrow. Very dangerous if the ground is wet.- Hordes of local tourists & loudness ruins the serenity of Mt Hua.
Huashan, the Western Peak of the Five Sacred Mountains, is renowned for its precipitous beauty. Its reputation as "the most dangerous mountain in the world" is well-deserved. Its breathtaking views, like the Sky Plank Road, and the picturesque sunrises and sea of clouds, are a true testament to its unique beauty. It's a place for the brave to challenge themselves, yet also a sacred place to experience its rich culture. The West Peak cableway is a must-do; it'll leave you in stitches.

The large-scale sound, light and electricity outdoor situational performance tells the story of the prosperous Tang Dynasty and the love story of Yang Guifei. The scene layout is full of technology. The night sky and the moon are displayed very realistically against the backdrop of Mount Li. The actors dance perfectly, and the lingering love is full of love. The fighting on the battlefield and the flames rising into the sky are very immersive, and the scene at that time is truly reproduced. It is very worth watching and it is also the best large-scale performance I have ever seen.
Great show.. with a good lighting.. excellent performance with lots of coordination… highly recommended to watch.. take vip seat B which is great view

A group of four drove up Laojun Mountain and parked at the Yunjing Cableway parking lot. We entered the visitor center at 12:30 PM. Having purchased our tickets online in advance, we quickly boarded the cableway, making our ascent to the summit and enjoying the stunning scenery. Details are as follows: Itinerary - Ascent: First, take the Yunjing Cableway (approximately 10 minutes) directly to Zhongtianmen. Then, transfer to the Fenglin Cableway (approximately 5 minutes) to the entrance of the Ten-Li Painting Screen. Walk through the Fairyland Tunnel and along a section of the Ten-Li Painting Screen (a typical walk of about an hour), enjoying the scenic views along the way. Climb to the Golden Temple. Only bring water and chocolate with you on the mountain. Wear windproof clothing or a down jacket. - Descent: At 6:15 PM, after taking photos at the Golden Summit, we quickly descended the same way we came. First, take the second-level cableway (Fenglin Cableway), waiting in line for about 20 minutes. Then, take the first-level cableway (Yunjing Cableway), where the line was shorter.
I've climbed many mountains in China, and Laojun Mountain ranks highly in my mind. Its natural scenery is beautiful, and I can describe it as "beautiful." The five peaks (Fu, Lu, Shou, Xi, and Cai) are majestic, grand, and spectacular. The climb isn't difficult.

The ticket price is a bit expensive: 30 yuan per person. However, the bell tower is still worth going up, as there are cultural relics to appreciate. The view is even more beautiful at night when the tower is lit up.
Previously, I had only viewed it from a distance, but this time, climbing the tower gave me a more comprehensive understanding of its history, function, facilities, and architectural structure. Looking around from the top, the entire cityscape unfolded before me—a bustling commercial area with beautiful scenery. It was definitely worthwhile!

Beautiful area, not crowded on a Friday. We went to have our pictures taken for our Hanfu experience around sunset and walked around afterwards to enjoy the night scenery. Lots of people taking pictures around the northeast gate.
I originally hadn’t planed to visit this place but I’m really glad that I did. It was so magical with all the lights and installments. I haven’t visited the show, but saw a part of it from the other side. I will definitely come back again to see the show.

The Shaanxi History Museum in Xi'an is like a living history book. Spanning over 70,000 square meters, its Tang Dynasty-style architecture exudes a majestic grandeur. Upon entering, I was captivated by the bronze Fei Lian statue overhead. Warm yellow light shone on the slate-gray brick walls, casting a gentle veil over history. The glass cabinets in the exhibition hall resemble time capsules, housing over 370,000 artifacts. When the instructor explained that 18 national treasures were hidden here, my eyes were immediately drawn to the rusted bronze artifacts. A large tripod with Taotie patterns from the Shang and Zhou dynasties stood quietly, as if guarding a secret from thousands of years ago. The ancient human exhibits astonished me most. Clinging to the glass, I strained to identify the skull fossil of the Lantian Man—this Shaanxi native, 1.15 million years ago, could actually scrape animal skins with stone flakes! A nearby interactive model demonstrated how to make fire by drilling wood together, and the dancing flames reflected on the delighted faces of the children.
As an important cultural landmark at the starting point of the ancient Silk Road, the Shaanxi History Museum uses cultural relics to build a corridor of time and space, allowing visitors to touch the pulse of civilization of the Zhou, Qin, Han and Tang dynasties among the blue bricks and gray tiles, and feel the profound accumulation of Chinese culture.

The crevice is completely not worth visiting; it's too boring and there's nothing to see. The Grand Canyon has beautiful scenery, but it's definitely tiring. The main problem is that the restaurants inside the Grand Canyon are terrible—expensive, bad food, and they're all hawking their wares everywhere, which is annoying.
Enshi Grand Canyon in autumn, with its unique natural scenery, pleasant climate, and rich cultural experiences, has become a must-visit tourist destination. Now is the end of summer vacation, making it the perfect time to travel off-peak! Whether traveling alone or with family and friends, you can find your own autumn romance here.
