Taiyuan Botanical Garden is the only comprehensive botanical garden in Shanxi Province that integrates scientific research, popular science education, horticultural appreciation, and cultural tourism.

• Location: Located 800 meters south of the Luocheng Expressway Exit in Jinyuan District, Taiyuan City, it stretches 100 meters north of Fengyusha River to the north, borders Taigu Highway to the south, stretches from the entrance of Fengyugou to the west, and stretches to Jinyang Avenue to the east. The garden covers a total area of approximately 2,730 mu.
• Park Layout: The overall plan is divided into five functional areas: entrance management area, plant science classification area, plant science application area, plant evolution display area, and scientific experiment area. Construction includes the main entrance building, exhibition greenhouse, bonsai pavilion, waterfront restaurant, research center, landscaping projects, water works, and 25 specialized gardens, including a rose garden, perennial flower garden, and locust osmanthus garden.
• Main Venues: The exhibition greenhouses consist of three separate greenhouses, each utilizing an imported wood structure and glass curtain walls. Automatic climate control systems create a suitable environment for plants, including a tropical greenhouse, a desert greenhouse, and a seasonal greenhouse. The Botanical Science Museum, covering 4,300 square meters, is divided into seven exhibition areas, including Plants: Evolution and Plants: Secrets. It uses images, text, audio, and video to educate people about plants. The Bonsai Museum combines the visual and the concrete, with indoor displays focusing on eight major bonsai schools and outdoor displays primarily dedicated to the Jin style of bonsai, comprehensively showcasing the history, techniques, and cultural connotations of bonsai.
