How can you experience such beautiful grasslands without visiting Huitengxile? It's a truly stunning spot for photography. June, July, and August are the best months for visiting the grasslands! The average summer temperature is 18°C. A great summer escape: Huitengxile Huanghuagou Grassland
Huanghuagou is still worth a day's visit. It is not recommended to stay in a yurt as the sanitary conditions are poor. You can stay in Ulanqab City. You can go shopping and eat at Ulanqab Night at night, and you can also see the volcano the next day. [Scenery] [Value for money] [Value for money] [Value for money]

It's definitely worth a visit. You'll first see the cute pet park upon entering, then take the shuttle bus up the mountain. There's a miniature train ride up the mountain, and there's a yurt at the top. There's also a sky mirror and grass skiing. It can be quite windy at the top, so bring a jacket.
"Chunkun Mountain" means "mountain with deep ravines". It is the largest alpine meadow grassland in western Inner Mongolia, with beautiful environment and cool climate. There are dozens of wild medicinal materials such as Astragalus, Gentiana macrophylla, Scutellaria baicalensis, Bupleurum chinense, and more than 300 natural grass species growing here. In the hot summer, Chunkun Mountain is recommended for self-driving tours in the suburbs. Chunkun Mountain, located at the northern foot of Yinshan Mountain, has grasslands in the clouds like a woven carpet. Having seen the beauty of alpine grasslands in oil paintings, it is hard to believe that it is real. However, when you are in Chunkun Mountain, the natural beauty of grasslands in the clouds is far beyond your imagination. The colors splashed by nature have created a splendid landscape between the mountains and valleys of 30 square kilometers. The undulating mountains and colorful colors are intoxicating and intoxicating. People will stop their feet inadvertently, stop and gaze, and appreciate quietly.

If you drive there, the parking fee is 10 yuan. You can purchase a sightseeing bus to and from the ice cave for 5 yuan each way. You can also walk up. The lower part of the ice cave is a staircase, with a single route in and out. The ice cave has a variety of lighting. It's best to wear warm clothing; if you don't have any, there are rentals available in the parking lot.
The scenic area is currently undergoing a short road renovation. After checking your ticket, you'll board a tour bus to the foot of the Hanging Village. Looking up at the village, it seems quite high, but it's actually quite easy to climb. There's a stall selling roasted corn and sweet potatoes up there, which are delicious and fragrant. A cool breeze, gurgling water, and flowers strewn across the grounds are a delightful experience!

It was a wonderful trip. Due to bad weather, we skipped other more distant grasslands and came to Hadamen instead. I didn't expect the grasslands to be so beautiful. It was just rainy on the way down. Why is Hohhot so rainy this year? It really dampened my interest in the trip.
The value for money is incredibly poor! For a national forest park, they charge a whopping 70 yuan for admission! Why 70? Because it's 40 yuan for the entrance fee, and 30 yuan for the bus ticket, which you absolutely have to buy! The hike up the mountain is so long! It's totally unreasonable! I never saw anyone not buying one! And you have to get a paper ticket! What a waste of time! It's a pollution! The line for the bus was incredibly long! The line alone took an hour! It was raining heavily, and within five minutes of getting off the bus, we were already running off to wait for the bus back! The management at the attraction is terrible! They didn't care about people who cut in line! They didn't even actively arrange a bus to pick us up! We were freezing waiting for so long! The scenery was beautiful, but I didn't have time to enjoy it. It was beautiful, but the price felt high! Thankfully, Ctrip is working on resolving the issue! Traveling with a big platform is still the best choice 👍

Very beautiful alpine grassland, you can get close to cattle and sheep, and watch the sunset in the evening. You need to pay attention to your travel safety on the road, because there are some narrow sections.
The weather was bad when I went there, otherwise it would have been beautiful. Netizens are right: the best views are from Hohhot, driving along National Highway 104. After visiting Huanghuagou, the alpine meadows of Hongshiya are even more beautiful.

It's really great value. I don't think I've seen this group buy before, at least I didn't see it when I came here at this time last year. It's really quite affordable, and there are gifts. It's also very convenient to use. You only need to make a phone call in advance to make an appointment.
On the last day in Mount Wutai, our tour guide Xiao Zhao took us to visit the temples in the central scenic area and told us many interesting stories, which brought our trip to Shanxi to a perfect end.

The scenic spots are worth visiting❤️very beautiful. It allowed me to get a lot of knowledge about ancient Shanxi architecture in a short time. The three-hour tour guide's explanation was also very good. It is worth it. Otherwise, you won't see anything if you just rush through it! It is worth a visit. There are many famous scenes in the same style as Journey to the West.
It took about 40 minutes to get to Jin Temple from Taiyuan Railway Station by taxi (during the morning rush hour). I saw the 3,000-year-old Father and Son Cypress, the Nanlao Spring, a refrigerator from 1,000 years ago, and the ancient overpass. I learned a lot.

Ticketing on Ctrip is very convenient. Nestled among the towering mountains of Dai County, Xinzhou, Shanxi, Yanmen Pass stands quietly, a monument to history and a legend of the mountains and rivers. "Of the nine fortresses under heaven, Yanmen Pass is the foremost." This majestic pass bears witness to millennia of war and vicissitudes. Every brick and stone bears the story of time, and every inch of land is soaked with the blood of heroes. Upon first approaching Yanmen Pass, its towering presence is visible from afar, looming like a giant atop the mountain. The fortress winds its way along the mountainside, blending seamlessly into the vast expanse of the Great Wall. In the sunlight, the bricks and stones gleam with an ancient patina, a testament to the turbulent times of the past. Approaching, the heavy gates remain tightly closed, as if guarding the tranquility within and safeguarding a turbulent history. Ancient arrow emplacements still stand neatly atop the walls, witnessing countless battles. Though now silent, the smoke of battle still seems to linger before our eyes. Entering Yanmen Pass, the bluestone pavement is rugged and uneven, and every step feels like treading on the veins of history. This was once a vital thoroughfare connecting the Central Plains to the northern frontier, and countless merchants, soldiers, and envoys passed through it, leaving behind deep and shallow footprints. Walking along the stone pavement, the quaint buildings on either side, with their soaring eaves, brackets, carved beams, and painted rafters, fully demonstrate the exquisite charm of ancient architecture. The shops along the street sell a variety of unique handicrafts and delicacies. The rich atmosphere of life blends with the rich history, leaving you captivated.
Depart from Datong South Station, go to Yingxian Wooden Pagoda first, take the high-speed train to Yanmenguan Station in the afternoon, and there will be a bus for 8/person to Daixian County (about 40 minutes). Tell the driver where you want to go and he will inform you where to get off. The hotel will be booked to go to Yanmenguan the next day (about 40 minutes). There will be a car to pick you up at the hotel door, 30 one-way 50 round trip, very convenient!

It takes about an hour and a half to reach the scenic area by taking a direct bus from Datong Ancient City. After arriving at the scenic area, take a sightseeing bus to the entrance of the mountain. If you are physically fit, you can skip the sightseeing bus, but it will take more time. The scenery of the scenic area is slightly plainer than Mount Tai and Mount Hua. There are more than 30 Taoist buildings in the scenic area. Ordinary people can usually climb to the top of the mountain in more than an hour. Commercialization is not serious, and the consumption level of the scenic area is relatively affordable.
Hengshan is renowned for its peril. Its main peaks, Tianfengling and Cuiping Peak, face each other, forming a precipitous canyon, resembling a fault line in a woodblock print. Hengshan is a sacred site for the Quanzhen Taoist sect, boasting over 30 historical sites, including the Hanging Temple of the Northern Wei Dynasty, boasting breathtaking architectural craftsmanship.

Yes, I climbed up and down purely. Special forces soldiers don't take the cable car, just to see the scenery along the way. Last year I climbed Linhai Camel Peak, and this year I climbed Tuoliang. This is considered a graduation trip.
### **Tourism Guide to Tuoliang Scenic Area (2 days and 1 night summer vacation trip)** Tuoliang is located in Pingshan County, Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province, bordering Wutai Mountain in Shanxi Province. The main peak is 2,281 meters above sea level. It is a famous summer resort and natural oxygen bar in North China. It is famous for **alpine meadows, sea of clouds and sunrise, and forest streams**. The average temperature in summer is only 19℃, which is suitable for weekend short trips. --- ## **📅 Recommended itinerary (2 days and 1 night)** ### **Day 1: Arrive at Tuoliang + mountain hiking** 🚗 **Transportation**: - Depart from Shijiazhuang City, drive for about 2.5 hours (navigate "Tuoliang Scenic Area"). - Public transportation: Shijiazhuang Bus Station → Pingshan → Tuoliang (there are fewer shuttle buses, so it is recommended to share a car). 🎫 **Tickets**: 65 yuan (half price for students), cable car one-way 50 yuan/person. 🏞️ **Travel route**: 1. **San Diequan Scenic Area** (entrance → cable car lower station) - Hike for about 1 hour, accompanied by streams and waterfalls along the way, suitable for taking pictures. 2. **Yunding Grassland** (cable car upper station → Camel Peak) - Take the cable car (20 minutes) or hike for 2 hours to reach the alpine meadow, with a wide view and herds of cattle and sheep. 3. **Camel Peak Sunset** - Wait for sunset after reaching the top. If the weather is good, you can see the sea of clouds. 🍽️ **Food**: - Farmhouse at the foot of the mountain (40 yuan per person), recommend **big pot dishes, wild vegetables, and firewood eggs**. 🏠 **Accommodation**: - In the scenic area: Tuoliang Hotel (200-300 yuan/night, average conditions but convenient for watching the sunrise). - At the foot of the mountain: Farmhouse (100-150 yuan/night, high cost performance). --- ### **Day 2: Sunrise sea of clouds + return trip** 🌄 **Sunrise viewing point**: - Tuofeng or Yunding grassland (sunrise at about 5:00 in summer, departure at 4:30). - If it is sunny after rain, the probability of sea of clouds is very high! 🚶 **Downhill route**: 1. **Walk down the mountain** (about 2.5 hours), passing through birch forest and Songtao Gorge. 2. **Cableway down the mountain** (15 minutes), save energy. 🍜 **Breakfast**: - The farmhouse provides millet porridge, steamed buns, and pickles (10 yuan/person). 🚗 **Return trip**: - Depart before noon, and visit **Wuyuezhai** on the way (tickets must be purchased separately). --- ## **📌 Tips for Traveling** 1. **Best Season**: June-September (summer vacation), October (autumn scenery with red leaves). 2. **Clothing Guide**: - Summer: short sleeves + sun protection clothing (the mountain top is windy, so you need a thin jacket in the morning and evening). - Autumn: Jacket or light down jacket. 3. **Must-Bring Items**:
