The Black Sea is connected to the Mediterranean Sea through the Turkish Straits. The important rivers flowing into the Black Sea are the Danube and the Dnieper. The coastal countries include Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine, Russia and Georgia. The important coastal cities include Sochi, Istanbul, Burgas, Varna, Constanta, Tulcea, Odessa, Sevastopol, Batumi, etc.
