A visit to the Kandy Royal Botanical Gardens is impressive and memorable.
The sign at the entrance of the botanical garden says: Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens was the royal garden of the King of Sri Lanka in 1780 and the Royal Botanical Garden in 1821. The total area is 61.25 hectares, 487 meters above sea level, and about 4,500 species of plants are planted.
The following are still fresh in my memory:
The ordinary door.
The ordinary 4 stone white pillars + 3 iron-framed green doors are the best place to take wedding photos in Kandy. Charming smiles, graceful saris, graceful brides... are always waiting for you there.
The road of giant trees.
The British Palm Tree Avenue in the north area of the botanical garden is more than 100 meters long, with giant trees lined up on both sides (estimated to be 5-6 stories high), which is extraordinary and has the same momentum as the famous Palm Avenue in Los Angeles.
The spiral pine. There are many lawns in the botanical garden. In the center of the largest lawn, a big tree rises from the ground, stands alone, spirals and reaches the sky, becoming the iconic landscape of the botanical garden. Take a closer look at the nameplate - pine tree.
Gorgeous orchids.
The botanical garden has more than 20 theme exhibition areas, and the must-visit orchid pavilion (Richard House) has more than 500 kinds of special orchids, colorful and fragrant. The orchid fans who accompanied me were shining and praised it.
