The Jiayuguan Scenic Area has an underground parking garage, which is especially important in the summer. If you drive in, you don't have to worry about getting in the car and getting out of the car. There are many restaurants at the entrance of the scenic area, making it convenient and offering a wide variety of options. The shuttle bus to the entrance is quite a distance, and in the scorching sun, it's recommended to take it.
Well, it's a 5A-level scenic spot after all. If you are interested in history, it's worth a visit. If you don't know much about history, you can ask a tour guide to play.

It is recommended to go out when the weather is good, otherwise the photos will be dark. I only had an hour and a half to play, so I went to Golden Beach and West Sea Fleet. I couldn't take the same effect without a drone. However, there are rocks on the side of Turtle Mountain that you can climb up, and the photos will be slightly better.
Some people say it's not worth going, that I wasn't amazed or impressed, and that the drive is long. But it's undeniably unique. There's only a speedboat for 160 yuan for 10 minutes, no boat trips. Feeding the seagulls costs 20 yuan for 10 small fish.

The Yangguan Scenic Area is not big, and it is very sunny in the summer, so you should be prepared to wear sunscreen when visiting. There are not many places to eat in the scenic area, only one Dicos, and it is at the scenic area price.
The experience was particularly good in the scenic area, especially the fruit stall behind the battery car. I bought a watermelon for more than 10 yuan and almost couldn't finish it. The prices in the scenic area are well controlled. I bought a 58 study package and experienced archery and fire-making, which was also quite fun. My husband is more interested in cultural relics. It's just that we played in Yangguan for a long time and didn't have time to go to Yumenguan.

Teacher Cai’s explanation was excellent. He knew the history of Dunhuang like the back of his hand and told many historical stories about cultural relics. Everyone listened with great interest and their love for Dunhuang was evident.
Teacher Rong gave a very good lecture for three and a half hours. He gave a very thorough explanation of the history of Dunhuang. It was better to visit the Dunhuang Museum before going to Mogao Grottoes. Teacher Rong spent about half an hour explaining the Dunhuang murals in the corridor. Without his explanation, I basically couldn't understand anything. There are also replica caves. By comparing the replicas with the originals, I discovered the superb craftsmanship of ancient times.

Overall, it was a good experience. The combined ticket cost 42 yuan less than buying tickets for both places separately. I didn't finish the Silk Road Divine Paintings, as many attractions were not allowed if you paid more than 140 yuan. The fireworks show was unforgettable. The Guancheng Pass is large and majestic. The first pier of the Great Wall is not very interesting, and the cantilevered Great Wall is a test of willpower.
It is divided into indoor and outdoor areas. The immersive scene of Nuwa mending the sky is quite strong. The magic house is also very good. The indoor stage performances are wonderful, and the outdoor projects are very exciting. Just prepare a raincoat in advance. I saw in the guide that disposable raincoats are not allowed, but many people bought disposable ones. We rented one, which cost 20, and 30 with shoe covers. It doesn't feel worth it. It's best to prepare in advance to reduce expenses. I thought I had no tickets and all the projects were free, but many of them were charged. For example, the boat on the water, the mirror house, the haunted house, the shooting, and the bumper cars were all charged separately, which didn't feel good.

The first half was an experiential parade, giving the impression that you wouldn't just stand there facing a circular screen. You could experience the passage of history and even string a pipa. The overall experience was wonderful, and the music and dance were excellent. Well worth a visit. Those with children should be aware that one of the standing statues, with its frightening face, is actually a real person and moves. Several children were frightened to tears, and adults were also startled. One woman even complained that they hadn't warned us in advance.
Freshly released immersive theater in June 2025! In the first 20 minutes, the audience slowly immersed themselves in the story along with the actors, which was very unique! The Ctrip package also gave a conspicuous bag with a pass book inside, which could be stamped for free. The children loved this kind of interaction!

The place is not big, it is quite good for filming. The children have seen too many mountains and rivers, so it is interesting to see different attractions. We also saw colorful auspicious clouds here, which felt like a different experience on our trip.
It was a pleasant surprise, and the children all thought it was fun. At first, I thought it was a ruin, and I had never seen the movie "Nine-story Demon Tower", so I might just take a photo and check in. The children tried to explore the broken cars and monsters, and broke into the so-called first haunted house in the northwest. I have to say that the scene here is well set up, with a sense of age, and it is also very photogenic. It is the battery car, which can be taken or not. The main gate is not far from the central area

I had to wear shoe covers when entering the store, and they didn't ask me to show my reservation code. There weren't many people, but there were quite a few people who were not reading or ordering and were occupying seats (it was a cafe on the second floor, so there weren't many seats to begin with).
There are free shoe covers at the entrance, and more than 40 stamps for free. You can read books on the second floor. The environment is good and it is very comfortable to stay here. If it weren't for visiting the night market, I really wouldn't want to go out. I was not satisfied with the night market.

Gansu "Son of the Earth" sculpture business card works name : Son of the Earth . Geographical location: Gobi Beach, Hongshanpo, 20 km south of Guazhou County, Jiuquan City, Gansu Province (next to Suoyang Town 270 County Road). Author : Dong Shubing (Director, Professor, Sculpture Department, School of Fine Arts, Tsinghua University) . Completion time: 7– November 2016, permanently installed the same year. Body volume : 15 m × 9 m × 9 m × Material: brown red sandstone whole stone 3D engraving, 127 pieces assembly . Art theme : Giant baby sleeping on the side of the bed, symbolizing "humanity is the child of the mother of the earth", calling for awe of nature and protecting the environment. Technical highlights : 3D scanning modeling → partition 3D CNC engraving → Site lifting splicing, error ≤ 3 mm . Landscape cluster : form "Guazhou Gobi International Sculpture Art Corridor" with "Unbounded" "Han Wuxiong Wind" . Transportation and tickets: 18 km from Lianhuo Expressway Guazhou Exit, the scenic spot is free; there is a parking lot and a sightseeing trail . Best shooting: After sunrise or 1 hour before sunset, the light side hits the "baby" face, which is very easy to produce film . Latest news: Tourist climbing incident occurred in January 2025, and the official has strengthened on-site duty and protection . In a word, look at a quiet sleeping "giant baby" in the desert of "Son of the Earth", reminding mankind with the softest gesture: facing nature, we are always just children.
The Son of the Earth is a giant sculpture located on the Gobi of Guazhou, Gansu Province, created by Tsinghua University professor Dong Shubing. The sleeping baby lies in the desert, 15 meters long and4.3 meters high, carved with red sandstone, symbolizing the eternal dialogue between life and nature. The sculpture and the vast Gobi form a strong visual impact, the sunrise and sunset time of the most infectious light and shadow changes. Although it is located in a remote location (20 kilometers from Guazhou County), it is free and open, suitable for the cultural punching point of the Qinggan Great Ring Road. It is recommended to visit the surrounding sculpture groups such as "Unbounded" "Han Wuxiong Wind" and feel the art shock in the desert.
